It's a simple, straightforward mission; show up somewhere, kill stuff, go somewhere else, kill that stuff, mission done. The comm messages give it a goofy vibe, which is a bit of a departure from the seriousness usually found in the original missions. Definitely appreciate the extra work involved in providing voice files for the messages.

With the sheer number of missiles constantly being launched at the player, playing this on easy difficulty is a nightmare. After 4 attempts, I moved on.

I think the story is fun in this mission and that is why I remastered it. I like that it allows for a quick end in the first region (using the torps to destroy the A/FRG) or a longer mission if you want to go for a high score.

1] Unless battle is being installed on a dedicated TFTC-R install for EH battles, create a backup of
the following original files so that you will be able to restore them after uninstall.

2] Copy the contents of both zip folders into the main TFTC directory, allow it to overwrite any files.
3] Play using the provided pilot file.

2] Optional, but highly recommended to prevent erroneous audio in future custom EH battles:
Delete the custom WAVE/Frontend folders, otherwise the briefing audio could play during
other custom EH Battle.

Introduction
-------------
Some of my favorite stories in the EH database were written and made by Frodo. He
graciously has given me permission to remaster his XWA battles into TFTC and I have
chosen to remaster XWA-F 125: Gilad's Birthday Party.
Playing these old battles celebrating past members really makes me wish I had found
this group when I first got XWA back when it came out. It feels like I really missed
out on great memories and friendships having not been a member back in the early days.
But I can still do my best in making missions like this as polished as I know how and
make them available in the latest and greatest graphical mod.

Detailed Installation Instructions

--Backup Files--
1] Create a backup of the following original files so that you will be able to restore
them after uninstall.
\TFTC\fronttext.txt
\TFTC\Resdata\Squad1.webm
\TFTC\Missions\Mission.lst
--Optional Item Installation--
2] To use the custom crest, install the following files in the indicated
locations:
\fronttext.txt >>>> \TFTC\
\Resdata\Squad1.webm >>>> \TFTC\Resdata\
3] To install custom audio files copy the Wave folder into the \TFTC\ root directory.
--Required Item Installation--
4] To install the custom ship, install the following files in the FlightModels folder:
\FlightModels\SOValt.ini >>>> \TFTC\FlightModels\
\FlightModels\SOValt.opt >>>> \TFTC\FlightModels\
5] Install the missions by copying the mission.lst and mission files with config files
from the zip folder into the \TFTC\Missions folder
6] Install the Emails by copying the Email.txt file from the Mission folder into the
\TFTC\Missions folder
7] Use Included Blank Pilot File by copying the \UserData folder into the \TFTC\ root
directory.
--Uninstall Steps--
8] If you installed the briefing audio files, you MUST delete and restore the custom
WAVE/Frontend folders, otherwise the briefing audio will play during every custom
EH Battle.
