It's a bit much in places and perhaps a bit inelegant with some design choices, but as far as protect missions go, not awful

You are outnumbered 6 to 1 even on medium difficulty. You can't issue commands to your allies because they aren't in your flight group. You get one craft and one wave. You get half a load of warheads. Your reinforcements consist of an ETR that hypers into the middle of nowhere. Your wingmen will all die to the initial wave of x-Wings because they have advanced missiles. Avoid at all costs.

Okay mission - the B Wings need to be taken out first, then concentrate on the A Wings.

A-Wings to the right of me, B-Wings to the left of me...Rinse and repeat. There's really nothing else about this mission. The A-Wings are marked as secondary and the B-Wings are primary. I think that's a little backwards but maybe it's just because I played on easy. Not sure what to make of this one, other than to say it's easy points.

Run of the mill skirmish, trying to protect the ATRs which in themselves can pack quite a punch. For once what you are protecting doesnt feel helpless!

Tricky little mission. I enjoyed the twisted dogfighting while protecting Mike's family. It follows one of many Mike's stories, and while this is not the best of his creations, it's worth a try and a sweaty FCHG point for the canvas bag.

So, given I don't know who Mike is/was, I don't care about his family so the plot is a bust. Furthermore, who gives every enemy craft missiles AND countermeasures even on Easy? I've tried on all difficulties, and I don't think this would be worth the FCHG point even if I did finish it.

Ahh, one of my old missions. Oh well, I didn't know so many things about XvTED back then. But it's pretty good.

"Save Mike's Family" by LC Marcin Szydlowski During standard patrol mission, Crusader Squadron Flight 3 received priority one distress call from nearly imperial convoy, carying civilians. They came under crossfire of rebel fighters. It seems that rebels wanted to capture families of EH pilots, in order to take them as hostages. Flight Leader decided to abort current mission and help imperial convoy. Crusaders must work quickly. Nearest imperial ship is 4 hours distant and flight 3 is the only imperial unit, able to help families. But the most important this is that family of Major Marcin Szydlowski, Crusader Squadron Commander is onboard convoy.
