Fun mission, if pretty simple - flying a MB against some Y-Wings to complete the mission seemed a little like overkill to me, but I enjoyed doing it! Head towards the Y Wings as quickly as possible - I found it handy to redirect as much to my engines as possible to get to them as quickly as possible,

In and out, no nonsense Y-Wing and X-Wing stomping with a TIE Defender and a Missile Gunboat.
Struggled to see what the 'Combined arms' of the title was about.

Like a lot of these early xvt frees it's a simple enough goal, protect the platform from some fighters (at least on easy). It's not terribly difficult, and you're overpowered for the job to say the least, but if you just need some quick points this is the way.

So I normally play these mission with Unlimited Waves on because it gives Pickled Yoda a little more work to do, but this mission didn't want to spawn enemies after 7 minutes, so I restarted with default waves on and it did spawn enemies this time. All you have to do is kill a bunch of Y-Wings. Not much of a challenge in that at all.

Not a very interesting mission, by a long mile. I am not sure what the map creator was after. I will give this a go on hard, at a later date and see if he got more creative on hard.

Simple mission, a bit too simple for my taste. The MIS is always a pleasure to fly, and double warhead load was a welcome treat, especially when not havinf a tractor beam and spewing missiles like a broken faucet.

2] Check the Misc folder in your XvT one for additional material like patches, sounds etc.
3] Press the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter button to start XvT and fly the battle.

DESCRIPTION:
The Emperor's Hammer is courting a strategic region of Space known as Styggia on its southern borders. The Styggian government has been having problems with pirates and have asked the Emperor's Hammer for help.
Butcher Squadron has drawn the duty and is trying a little experiment to see if using certain types of ships for certain types of missions can reduce necessary resources needed to accomplish a particular mission.
You may fly either the TIE Defender or Missile Boat.
Protect "The Docks".
Sounds simple enough... :-).
Hint: Timing and creative use of your wingman is very necessary.
