High Admiral Kawolski has released Flight Office Report #34 to the Fleet. TIE Corps membership stands at 767 members today.

The new Battlegroup Commander of the EH Battlegroups (BG I, BG II, and AHG) is Vice Admiral Kessler, formerly of the ISD Challenge.

With the retirement of Major Reesbon, the Wing XV Wing Commander position on the ISD Vanguard (a multiplayer XWA ship) is available for staffing. Applicants should apply to Rear Admiral Lee_1 and Admiral Horn if you're interested.

For their continued help during the last few weeks in both the Outer Rim Melee Nights and the first ever EH XWA Zone Competition, I have appointed Major Havoc and Commander StarLion as my assistants (COOA1 and COOA2), repectively! They have also both been awarded the Palpatine Crescent (PC)! Congratulations and keep up the great work!

The competition went excellent! At the high point, we had 20 EHers on the Zone. I believe that is an all time record! Because of the immense number of matches (43), I decided not to paste all the results. What I will show you are the win/loss/tie ratios for all the participants:

Just a couple reminders:

1) Outer Rim Melee Night is tomorrow, Saturday June 26th, at 8:00 PM EST in #EHvsRS on the Undernet! Be there and help us crush the Rebel Squadrons!

2) The first ever Zone XWA Multiplayer EH competition will be held Sunday June 27th at 1:00 PM EST in the XWA room Melee Skirmishes on the Microsoft Gaming Zone! Be one of the first pilots to fly in an organized XWA competition within the Emperor's Hammer!

The Staff Roster is now online. Please report any errors to High Admiral Kawolski.

Because the duties of a Battlegroup Commander (BGCOM) have been passed on to other officers thus making it an obsolete and unnecessary position, I've decided that the next BGCOM of the Battlegroups will play an important part in help redefining the role of a BGCOM.

For all those applying for the BGCOM position, applicants should include what duties they would do as BGCOM if they received the position. If you have already applied for the position, I have your application on file and you can add to it at any time without resending the entire application again.

The Wing Commander position for Wing XIII on the ISD Grey Wolf is now open since its previous Wing Commander has gone AWOL/MIA. Applicants for the position should go to Rear Admiral Harkov.

Squadron Citations are now being shown on the rosters. For an example of how these are displayed, see Omega Squadron's roster. Squadron Citations are automatically calculated by the database and determined if:
1. The Squadron has six or more pilots
2. At least 50% of those pilots have completed the same battle

If the database doesn't list all of your squadron's citations, it's because the updated medal/battle records of the personnel in your squadron haven't been turned in by the Squadron Commander and Wing Commander or processed by the Operations Office.

Admiral Piett, former Battlegroup Commander of the TIE Corps Battlegroups, is moving on from his position to become an Inquisitor of the High Court. Applicants for the Battlegroup Commander position are being accepted by High Admiral Kawolski.

The database will be periodically offline while it's being upgraded at around 10am to 12am Central Time on Wednesday.

Some new coding was put in today to properly display ID Lines for staff members. If you come across any error messages or problems, please notify High Admiral Kawolski.

We will use the room Melee Skirmishes. Everybody who wishes to participate MUST have a Zone name that begins with "EH_". Matches will be setup by whoever wants to play them against other EHers. We will go from 1:00 PM EST to 4:00 PM EST. You can play as many matches as you wish. LoC's will be awarded to the winners of matches, and the top pilot will receive a Palpatine Crescent. The 2nd and 3rd place will receive ISM's.

I am almost positive that I will be able to make it there to keep the thing running. If I can't make it, I will contact someone to takeover. Also, you must have the XWA Patch 2.0 to play. Pick it up from: ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/patches/pc/xwaupd202.exe. Hope to see you there!

The position for Command Attaché to the Flight Officer (CA:FO) is now open with Admiral Horn moving on from his position to become the new Combat Operations Officer.

Duties of the CA:FO include, but are not limited to:

• Collecting squadron/wing reports and tallying which have been turned in for the week
• Archiving e-mail in the Flight Office for later retrieval, if necessary
• Beta testing
• Making news bulletin posts on the tiecorps.org
• Assisting the Flight Officer and other TIE Corps officers in various EH/TC projects
• Perform "Quality Control" assignments
• Posting on the TIE Corps message and training boards

Requirements for applying for the CA:FO position:

• At least one year of experience in the TIE Corps
• Able to handle a large e-mail load (though you wouldn't have to answer most of it...you will be CCed in a good number of requests). This can be as many as 100 e-mail messages a day. Members using only Hotmail, Yahoo, or other similar mail service should not apply.
• Be online frequently
• No serious AoW/Bylaws/IRC CoC violations on record

All applications for the position should go to High Admiral Kawolski. If you're interested in applying, you should include a résumé as well as a brief description why you would be best for the job and how you meet all the requirements. Knowledge of programming is not necessary for this position.

The new Wing Commander for Wing III is Major Havoc, former squadron commander of Alpha Squadron. Wing III is designated as the SSSD Sovereign's wing for X-Wing Alliance pilots.

Currently, there are no Emperor's Hammer X-Wing Alliance free missions or battles available (since nobody has created any), but that is soon to change with the recent release of X-Wing Alliance editors and the 1st Training Office Competition which many wings are already working hard on.

The code for the Staff Rosters are in place. A little extra coding needs to be done so certain positions appear on the ID Line properly. However, while Staff positions are shown on the personnel profiles, a roster-style listing will be constructed in the very near future.

The new staff roster includes members of the High Court, Sector Rangers, Morale Staff, Medical Corps, Fleet Commander Advisors, and Command Staff Assistants.

Command Assistants are currently not shown because I don't have a listing of all them readily available to me at the moment. They will be included in the staff rosters shortly as well.

Currently, EH Poll #22 (Darker Darth) and EH Poll #23 (IRC or Java chat) are open. Also, I am accepting nominations for the first ever "Miss EH" and "Mister EH" contests, which will start in about a month. Lucasarts has released a new patch for X-Wing Alliance, Update 2.02. Including a few tweaks to 3D Sound, this will allow ALL versions of XWA (domestic and foreign) to be able to play multiplayer with each other. In consideration and reward for his outstanding and dedicated work for the Fleet, the Fleet Commander has approved the promotion of Fleet Admiral Kawolski to the EH Rank of High Admiral (HA).

For his efforts and diligence in his duties as Reconnaissance Officer for the Emperor's Hammer, Admiral Arcon Telf has been promoted to the rank of Fleet Admiral!

There was a slight problem with the database yesterday that has been fixed. All functions should be working again.

I did a little cleaning up with the rosters so they load much more efficiently. Previously, displaying a wing roster would take about ten seconds to process the request. With the new code, it only takes one or two seconds to process!

The old database has been fully integrated into the online rosters. All the data from the old database was transferred, yet many of the records may be outdated. Submitting corrections will be explained in the next Flight Office report. In the meantime, please refrain from submitting corrections.

At the Tactical Officer's request, the new database will not contain FCHG information or high scores for battles/missions. Fleet Admiral Dev is programming a client-based program that members would download and run to access the Battle Board through your Internet connection. Details of this project can found at the Tactical Office.

Victory is ours once again in Melee Night against Rebel Squadrons! It was a tight battle, but our forces pulled through at the end with 17 wins for the EH and 16 for the RS. Excellent work to everyone who participated!

New Horizons has released their XWA Editor, NH Beta 6, to the public with a briefing map editor!

Unfortunately, there are many bugs and an unfriendly interface when managing ship groups, so I would recommend using AlliED as well.

Cadets on PLT Daedalus whom have not completed their training in the last two months are being removed from the roster every evening. However, while they'll still be in the database, they won't be included with the active roster count.

Sector Admiral Compton is seeking for a new Command Attaché. The CA:XO's responsibilities will be to go through the previous newsletters and use the new medal board to award pilots the Letter of Achievement (LoA) for their submissions, award LoAs for future newsletters monthly, and assist the Executive Officer in keeping various subgroups active.

Admiral Darkov announced today that he has resigned from his position as Inspector General. Under his recommendation and the approval of Grand Admiral Ronin, the Inspector General position has been dissolved and will no longer be available.

The Platform Daedalus roster, currently running on its own independent database, is going to be combined with the master rosters. However, during the combination, the rosters may show an inaccurate membership count. If the membership count says we have 800+ members, it's not true...yet... :)

Quick tip of the day!

Recruiters! When you seek to enlist new recruits for the TIE Corps, your PIN (Personal Identification Number) can be used to credit you for the sign-up so the new recruit won't have to enter in your ID Line! (Note: you may also wish to tell your recruits to put down your e-mail address along with your PIN # in case they enter in the wrong PIN #!)

First off, Minos Nights have been renamed to Outer Rim Melees. Secondly, there is now a new Outer Rim Command Center that will replace the old, outdated Minos Cluster Command Center. All you flyers out there should use this as your primary reference for Melee information!
