Former WC, now RA Troutrooper, has been promoted to the Commodore position aboard the ISD Colossus. Many qualified people applied to VA Jarak and myself, but TT has been entrusted with the task of returning the COL to her recent glory. Thank you all and goodluck TT.
For Cadets who play in multiplayer matches to meet their training requirements on Daedalus, there was a bug that wouldn't acknowledge Flight Certification Training properly on their profiles when they won a match. This has been fixed.
Today, I have promoted, now, VA Xanos Goatham Zorrixor to the new NAVCOM. Under his leadership, I expect to see the Naval Corps continue to grow and increase its activity. Congratulations VA.
In today's Flight Office Report, I have reinstated the TCCOM Award and given the January, 2001 presentation to Wing XIII. Details are found in the report but, please give your congratulations to VA Cyric and all the officers of the GW.

NC Staff, TFCs, and Flight Office members;Bargon will be missed and we all wish him well in whatever he chooses to do now. :-)It is with great difficulty that I address you now. For the last couple of weeks, my life has been getting more and more hectic, and I feel that it has been impacting my ability to operate as NavCOM. I also am getting frustrated at the lack of interest in the current wargame, I am seeing barely 50% participation, and noone seems to notice when RL makes me miss a day. For these reasons, my inability to keep the wargame going, and my inability to keep the wargame interesting, I feel that I must step down as NavCOM. In my tenure as NavCOM, and indeed my whole career in the Naval Corps, I have tried my best to bring the Naval Corps to the higher level that it belongs on, and I refuse to allow the Naval Corps to be brought down by my inactions. I will of course still be around, to advise, and help in any way I can, but at this time I cannot handle the daily chores of Naval Corps Commander. Admiral Theodore, I hope that you can find a proper Commander for the Naval Corps, should you need some help in finding one, I would be glad to assist in any way I can. Task Force Commanders, my deepest apologies for leaving this wargame unfinished, but I do not feel that anything can be gained from trying to drag out the inevitable, should the new NavCOM wish to continue this wargame, I will of course turn over all the materials I have pertaining to it.

"LucasArts Entertainment is going to challenge PC game players to unite against the evil Trade Federation and strike back on land, sea and air in the flight action game Star Wars: Battle for Naboo. Released on the Nintendo 64, Battle for Naboo for the PC features enhanced game resolution, textures, and a new interface. Star Wars: Battle for Naboo for PC is being developed in conjunction with Factor 5 and is expected for release in March 2001.Hopefully, this game won't suck quite as badly as all the other Episode One games. Only time will tell.In Battle for Naboo, players leap into a variety of Star Wars vehicles and traverse a wide range of environments while clashing with numerous Trade Federation enemies, such as battle droids, droid starfighters and AAT's. In the more than 15 levels, players experience new and familiar Star Wars locations while engaging in air-to-air, ground-to-ground, space and air-to-ground battles."
Gameplay is split into three teams: Rebels, Imperials, and Bounty Hunters (with each type holding their own unique set of skills). The new mod also plans to feature Light and Dark Jedis with 3rd-person light saber dueling. According to the news, Beta 1 is set to release next month.

Congratulations to Top Gun and veteran Commander Major Brucmack on his selection to be Wing XIII Commander. Major Brucmack has been active in Wing XIII affairs for some time.
Please be sure to congratulate the Vice Admiral on his promotion! :)
Well..that was a whole lot of nothing. The upgrade failed. I'll have to talk with the tech support people at Crystaltech on Monday and try again later. No FCHG listings until then... :(
All homepages are currently offline while the databases undergo a complete upgrade. Estimated downtime is still at one to two hours.
The TIE Corps Database, Imperial Senate Database, and XO Homepage are all going offline in 30 minutes as the domains and database shut down for an upgrade. The estimated down time is 1 or 2 hours.

I would like to apologize for the virus warning connected with the latest BG Report. I was totally unaware that it was infected, partly because my VirusScan program was not operational at the time. I have bought a new program, Norton AntiVirus 2001, and will install shortly to prevent this incidentfrom hapening again. As far as I can tell I got this myself from an E-Mail I recieved some time ago. I have also patched my Outlook Express to prevent such viruii from entering my system again. Again, I am sorry for any trouble this may have caused. I will honestly make sure this will never happen again.
If you received this weeks' Weekly Battlegroup Report in HTML format and did NOT get a virus warning from your email scanner (or if you don't have one installed) then you HAVE BEEN INFECTED by the virus and must take the following steps to remove it:
Visit this website: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nav.nsf/docid/2000020318071406 ...and read the instructions contained therein. The most simple and effective way to neutralise the virus is to download and run the fix tool located at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/wscript.kakworm.fix.html This programme will repair all damage caused by the variant of the virus distributed in this weeks' Battlegroups Report. In the unlikely event that it doesn't work on your system, there are also comprehensive details on the same webpage for removing the virus manually.
To conclude, I'd reccommend that anyone who doesn't already own an AntiVirus programme that includes an email scanner gets one NOW. Thanks for your attention.
The IWATS Core course just passed two thousand graduates (2,000), making it still the most successful IWATS course ever. The next closest course in terms of graduates is mIRC/1 with nearl 900. The IWATS Core graduates form roughly 32% of the overall IWATS graduates.
Warning: The site contains language, adult subject matter, and a fun Jawa-shooting game to play while you're waiting for the episode to load. For mature audiences only. (Oh yeah, and the porn banners are back...big ones too. err..the banners! >:P)
(There was a celebration held today which I apologize for not posting about sooner - HA Kawolski)
Looks like my previous rank as Sector Admiral was only an honorary one! Grand Admiral Ronin has informed me that I'm now back to being a High Admiral (what I was before I left the TAC position). If I do well in my position, within a month's time, I may be promoted to a full Sector Admiral.
Cadets! If you've completed the Flight Requirements, log in and go to the Flight Certification page. You can upload your completed pilot file and be instantly certified and complete that portion of your training!
The FCHG Listings have not yet been repaired. It turned out to be a much larger problem that I was not prepared to deal with at the moment. It may not be until this weekend before I can get it straightened out. I apologize for the temporary inconvenience.

Also a plan is in the works to appoint a ship/wing historian to compile their wing/ship's history into one large work and submit it to the LO. We need many people to help out with this so if you could email Commander Ramos Kanzco and tell him if you are interested in becoming your ship's historian. This will be an unofficial posistion and will not be added to your ID line.
Thank you and if you have any comments or questions feel free to email me(magedon42@aol.com)
As posted in NL #70:
I hereby step down as Executive Officer of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. That is the hardest sentence I've ever had to type in my life. It's been a fun ride, but it's been a long one, and I simply don't have the time that this position needs anymore. I really wish I did, but it wouldn't be fair to you, the members of the Emperor's Hammer, if I were to remain as XO any longer; you deserve more than I can give. I can only hope that you feel the years I've devoted to the Fleet as XO have been good ones, and I sincerely hope the EH Territories are an even better place now than they were two years ago.Sector Admiral Kawolski has also officially been named the new Executive Officer today! You can see the new XO Homepage, along with the rest of Compton's letter, at: http://www.kawolski.com
A Command Attaché (CA:XO) has already been selected: Vice Admiral Slade, who has previously served as CA:TAC and COM of the DGN Lichtor V and has been instrumental in creating many of the graphics and banners you see throughout the fleet, the tiecorps.org layout graphics, and the new XO site graphics.
More announcements, as well as a formal introduction, are to come!
You can download it at: http://thunder.prohosting.com/~surefire/hammer70.zip (~5.93 MB).
I will not list specific requirements, but understand that I am looking for a reliable person with an established reputation for getting things done.
The Daedalus has now assigned its 6,000th pin number !!!
After almost 6 months of excellent duty, LC Chrusos Ichthys has been promoted to rank or Colonel for his excellent service to wing, ship and TIE Corps. He led Grey Wolf for his 2nd victory in ASF: 2nd Supremacy Competition and made it best ship in the fleet. Congrats VitCarp!
Congratulations General Ricaud.
After an update to the FCHG system, the listings page ceased to work except for the Wing FCHG Listings page. I currently don't have the time to fix it tonight, so I'll be taking the page offline until later tomorrow.
Medals are available for this competition so any XWA fliers should check it out.
Today...Jan. 7th...marks our 6th anniversary...Congrats everyone !!!!
For example, to view the IO's homepage, go to http://io.tiecorps.org/
One requirement to play in the OR War is to have a login PIN # at http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/ordb/. Once you have that setup send me an e-mail with your ORDB PIN# and your TC.org PIN# so that I can award your LoC's. My e-mail is slookabill@home.com.
After a long wait, the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter BSF forms that allow you to upload an XvT pilot file is now up and running! They're not ready for Balance of Power, though.
Wing rosters now have a link to list combat ratings of all the pilots in the wing.
Members of EH, fellow pilots and officers. As you all probably know, there will be an EH meeting in Poland this year. Time is running with only 6 months left. Would you like to know more? Would you like to confirm your arrival? Or maybe you got some suggestions? E-mail me!
IWATS has just passed 6,000 (six thousand) graduates.
Some people have reported a problem when submitting fiction that reads "Exception Occured". The only people who have been experiencing this are those who are submitting extremely LONG pieces of fiction of at least 40+ pages. I'm currently aware of this problem and I'm looking into fixing it soon.
Users in the ImperialAcademy.org database with "dead" email addresses have had their subscription status turned off, so I don't keep getting error emails. A majority of the people causing these errors are people who had email addresses on domains hosted by IO/AD AbsoluteK. These domains include ehnet.org, squadron.org and stardestroyer.org. If you have changed your email address recently and do wish to still receive news updates from the Training Office and IWATS, you can go to www.imperialacademy.org/settings and update your email and turn your subscription status back on again. If you have any difficulties with doing this, contact the Training Officer at jpboyce@indigo.net.au
Winning Ship: ISD Grey Wolf - The crew of the Grey Wolf amassed an amazing total of 8943 points, and rightfully retain their title of ASF Flag Ship
Winning Squadron: Tartarus, Wing XIII - Winning by over 200 points (2251 in total), all members of the Squadron showed great activity of the past four weeks. The squadron becomes the new ASF Escort Squadron

2nd: CPT Brucmack, Vortex (brucmack@bigfoot.com) - 886 points. Awarded with the Bronze Star of the Empire
