This is very short notice, and I must apologize for that. The object of this comp is to create an EH Halloween graphic. It doesn't matter the size, but it must involve the EH and something with Halloween.

***Trick or Treat Prank Contest***
Again, very short notice, but this will be a lot of fun. As suggested by my CA, Maverick, what you do is take your squadron banner, or a rival squadron banner and put a prank on it. Then submit it to Fleet Admiral Keiran Idanian. I will work on getting this approved, but please start to get to work on them. Good luck!

***RO Comp***
Another graphics comp from the RECON Office. I know...graphics, some people can't make them, but don't worry next month there will be one for everyone, not just graphics people. :)
In this comp, you'll need to design either a banner or graphic for the Imperial Survey Corps (ISC). The banner should be the size of every other banner, about 400 x 40 pixels. The graphic should be about the size of a splash banner, about 800 x 500 - max. The Imperial Survey Corps searches the Internet and RL for ways to help the EH out by letting people know about this. So, something like Corevettes or scout ships for graphics - just a suggestion. There will be two awards. One for the banner and the other for the graphic. You may do either one or both! :)
Awards:
1st - IS-GR
2nd - IS-SR
3rd - IS-BR
STARTING: 10.12.01

As listed in the latest COO report, members may count matches in COO-approved events for the EH Ladder. However, both parties must agree to this arrangement prior to the match.
There is going to be some delays in the operations of the Training Office over the next few days. This is because I've just recently purchased two new hard drives (40GB IBM, yum) and I'm transferring all the data off the old drives to the new ones. In addition, I'll have to reinstall all my applications, download others, etc. As such, competition approval and test marking may be delayed. Hopefully, my system will be up and running fully by Monday.
I am going to organize it again, but time a bit later. Let's say around 10th of the July 2002. If you would like to join us, just e-mail. If you need more information, do it too. Last summer we had 10 participating EH Pilots and I want to see more next year!
The combat rank page for Wing Rosters should now be working properly.
Just to clear something up, all CSMA tests are still sent to hf_csma@yahoo.com, NOT to hfcsma@teacher.com.

The tiecorps.org mail server will go offline on Saturday, October 20th sometime between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM Pacific time while the mail server is being upgraded.
A small bug with the banner uploading form not working for members holding more than one position has been fixed.
CMDRs, WCs, COMs, and BGCOMs will now see a new administration option to upload a banner for their squadron, wing, ship, or battlegroup respectively. If you have any problems using the form, please report it to Sector Admiral Kawolski.
Some technical problems currently prevents me from processing XvT and XWA high scores (ie zipped files). Hopefully it should be sorted out soon.
Greetings all, the HF site has changed servers to http://hf.phpcoding.org, the address of http://www.hammersfist.net will route to this new server. The old server will be shut down soon and its files deleted. This server will hopefully be our home for the next year or more. So enjoy it :) and look for new features!
Greetings Grand Admiral Ronin, Sector Admiral Kawolski, Fleet Admiral Priyum, Combat Operations Assistants, other members of the Combat Operations Staff, and the EH populace
I come to you all bearing bad news. It severely pains me to have to do this, but effective immediately, I must step down as the Combat Operations Officer. I'm sure you all have noticed the slide in my ability to keep up my work lately. This is mainly due to the fact that I am now trying to keep up with school, I now have a new job which I need in order to save up for college and maintain my car insurance, and just a general lack of time to do all the work that the COO position demands.
I sincerely hope that I will be remembered as a good Combat Operations Officer, as I have put numerous hours of work into the spot. I hope that the command structure and the way it is run will continue to go smoothly, and hopefully, the next COO can incorporate more inter-club wars into our playing field. I have put alot of thought into this over the past three days, considering who would be my successor. I've considered both of my assistants, as they have both served me excellently over my six months as COO. Bruc was a strong and reliable assistant for months, both for Zsinj and me, before leaving for some time, and has recently returned to the position and has served me well since. Kyle was appointed to the spot much more recently, but overall has served me approximately the same amount of time as Bruc has. Kyle is very reliable and trustworthy.
It has been a hard decision to choose from two men who are excellent officers, and good friends. When it came down to it, I thoroughly believe that where my office needs to go from here is to help improve the quality of the multiplayer pilots in the EH. I've set up a sound structure for running the competitions and office, and now it only needs someone with the expertise necessary to set up academies and training courses to improve those who could one day lead the EH to the top of competitions such as the Week of War, and even future replacements for the Outer Rim wars.
Therefore, I've made the decision that my successor should be Lieutenant Brucmack. He is undoubtedly the best that the EH has to offer. He has always dominated all facets of multiplayer competition within the EH, and has been toying with the idea of setting up a MP academy for some time. I feel that he's ready to take on the reigns of COO, and lead us into improving our ability, to match our size.
Of course, the final choice is up to you, Grand Admiral Ronin and Sector Admiral Kawolski, but I feel that you both should accept Brucmack as the new COO, as I believe he is fully qualified to take over.
As for me, I have talked with Colonel Sickman of Wing V, and we have agreed that I shall take over as CMDR of Pe squadron. I have missed the joys of direct command, and look forward to the chance to help a small squadron become great. However, while I have fulfilled many goals, but have left many unfulfilled, therefore, I shall be staying on as an assistant to the COO.
Now, I address you for the last time as Admiral Wet Willy, I appreciate the faith and cooperation all of you have had with me, and I do hope that one day, I may be able to return to the Command Staff.
May the force be with you all,
Admiral Obeliskian Battlemaster Wet Willy
Combat Operations Officer of the Emperor's Hammer

"Insanity is a playground for the uncreative"
- Spend an hour or two each week counting message board posts in order to award Medals of Communication (this will be your main duty)
- Report directly to HackSolo and Motti
- Do small tasks for the COMM & CA:COMM, since we're both busy college men. :P
That's about it, the job isn't an excessive amount of work, but if you do a good job, it's very helpful for advancement in the EH, just look at our last COMMA Jacob... in June he was FM/LCM, and now in September he's CA:RO/RA. All are encouraged to apply.
