After 2 hours of fierce battle today, the Avenger vs Red Squadron War has been concluded. I am proud to announce that Avenger was victorious. With 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss Avenger ruled supreme. The activies were 2 FFA, 3 Combat Engagements and 2 Team Melees. For Avenger flew CPT Dax Corrin, CM Azrael and LC Tarkin. It was a great effort from CPT Dax Corrin and CM Azrael, I salute you!

Thanks to everyone who came out!

For those who still haven't heard, my internet access died on late Friday night and I only got it back working again on Monday afternoon. To compound things, I picked up something on Saturday and have been sick as a dog. However, I've just finished approving the backlog of competitions submitted and all the IWATS tests I mark were cleared out yesterday. Thanks for the patience shown by all members during this.

Just a note, I'll be on leave from the 27th to the 6th of August. I'll be back and coding when I can :)

From tomorrow (Friday), I'll be going on leave for 4 days, until the following Monday, the reason being I'll be at the EH Summer Bash in Brighton, South England.

As most of you attached to this e-mail may have already decided that what has happened is a virus is being passed around and unfortunately I found out about it too late. Below is a reference I'm attaching to help you all check your systems and see if you have this virus, it is pretty nasty and will hit you when you least expect it, trust me I know.

I hope I've gotten to everyone who I've sent an e-mail out to in the last day ot two. Unfortunately this may have gone farther. Since the virus creates 2 files on your hard drive and places your files in one and your e-mail list in another. Then it randomly sends out mail to that list with an attachment using a double ended extension (e.g. yourfilename.doc.com) or something simliar maybe encountered. If your wondering if this is a hoax, well no its not.

Shown below is the information on this ugly and new virus. It will also give you steps to check your system if you think your infected. Please by all means do this, otherwise you won't know until its too late. There is also a link I've added for you to verify what I'm saying to be true. If the XO or anyone with news access to the TC domain would kindly make a post of this I would appreciate it. Wish there was more that I could say except I'm sorry for the inconvenience. As I didn't know until today. Please if you use Norton AV then use you autoupdate to get the atest info. This will help you I promise.

One last thing don't quarantine your files always delete it. unless you can't delete then quarantine, then delete. Trust me it works I know. So good luck and once again I'm sorry!

With the recent AWOL check completed, the Advanced Guard is looking for a few good individuals who think they are up to the task of being a diplomat in the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet.

I will be taking applications for the next week. There are two classifications, Ambassadors and Viceroys, and depending on the number of applications I receive, I'll decide how many go in each group. Here are the requirements:

Ambassador - you must be the rank of Commander or higher and have been a member in good standings with the Emperor's Hammer for four months. You must also have time to devote to your duties, and a willingness to work for the Advanced Guard.

Viceroy - must be the rank of Colonel or higher, with above average diplomatic skills and have been a member in good standing with the Emperor's Hammer for over six months. Once again, you must be willing to devote time to your Advanced Guard duties.

Each application must contain the following:

- Name
- E-mail Address
- AIM Name (if applicable)
- ICQ Number (if applicable)
- a brief paragraph on why you want to join the Advanced Guard

Send all applications to la@emperorshammer.org with the Subject as either AMB Application or VROY Application, depending on which position you are applying for. No applications will be considered after July 20th.

I took a bit of leave last weekend to spend some time with my family. I've added a new poll to the TC Survey Center about the new controversial uniform template. If you're an active TC officer (or reservist) that's not stationed on Daedalus, you can participate in the poll by logging in the Administration section.

Just when you thought your Inboxes were safe...I've decided to start up the TO Communique again to help promote the services and such the Training Office offers. Issue 13 has just been mailed out to all from FM to BGCOM. If you're outside that area, you can check it out online here. After several days of endless coding, I've finally completed the newest EHNet.org attraction: Sabacc Online! The results for the second Imperial Storm battle have been confirmed. Please click here for a full report of the evening. In summary, Silver Saber completely destroyed all Flaming Arrow forces, but lost several dozen fighters in the process (but none of their capital ships).

Well its that time of month to announce TCCOM's Own. Activity in the TC is pretty good so it was a really hard choice, but one wing thats activity stood out was Wing XV on the ISD Vanguard. Congrats to them, they are TCCOM's Own!

As Security Officer I'd like to announce the disbanding of the Sector Rangers, and like the phoenix, rising from the ashes of the Sector Rangers comes the Imperial Security Bureau, a badly needed beginning to a well-deserved end.

From veritable rubble and disorganization into an epitome of uniform and order, the ISB is here to serve you and the entire Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, as an effective investigative/reporting agency. I'm sure many of you worry that the ISB is the same thing that the Sector Rangers were, but I assure you this is not true. Unlike the Sector Rangers, the ISB's goal is to report, not to act upon violations of the AoWs and CoCs.

We aren't the police, and wont try to pretend to be. Merely, if we see a violation of Imperial law, it is reported and documented and sent to the Security Office. I sincerely hope you don't automatically look down on the ISB as the bastard son of the SRs, because I would like to put everything the SRs were or stood for behind us. The ISB is just a way to help keep the trouble makers out of the fleet, discourage ill behavior and create a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Membership in the ISB will be very selective, due to the requirement that the organization must remain small in numbers at this present time; so we are seeking only the best and brightest.

In summary, ships from TF Flaming Arrow completely crushed the opposing Silver Saber forces, for whom the most notable loss was the Regulator, an ImpStar Deuce. TF Flaming Arrow will take control of Valkier at the end of Turn IV.

In other ImpStorm news, TF Doom has captured two more planets: Strall and Golst. Including Firixon, this brings their total up to 3 held worlds.

The battle was a success, with a great turnout (the highest number of people was about 57). Many thanks to all those who attended, and helped. My apologies to those of you who didn't get the opportunity to fly, but there will be more chances in the very near future :)

'Shadows of the Force' is the latest of the surfacing Star Wars Half-Life mods, only this group is still on the job! The time period is Episode I, so there are Naboo, Battle and Destroyer Droids, Gungans, and members of the Trade Federation in the game, but there will also be Sith Lords, Jedi, and Mercs.

They have models of all the popular characters done like Qui-Gon Jinn, R2-D2 & C-3PO, Darth Maul, Mace Windu, Yoda, Amidala, and more! They look weird because they haven't been skinned yet. They have several screenshots of the models along with preliminary map shots.

The gameplay has three modes: Deathmatch, Teamplay (Hostage rescue, Escort the Queen, Bombing targets, Capture-The-Viceroy), and Jedi Power Battles (Jedi Knights vs. Sith Lords)
