The Logistics Officer is responsible for maintaining archives of important materials such as newsletters. The position is also responsible for specialist projects such as the EH Codex.

Selection Criteria - Essential

1. Good written communications skills
2. An acceptable level of online presence in areas such as message boards, IRC, etc
3. Fast email response time
4. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel

Selection Criteria - Desirable

1. Prior experience in maintaining some sort of reference work (ie. a manual)
2. Ability to maintain stable web hosting for all newsletters

Initial Work Plan

1. Establishment of a LO site
2. Establishment of a Newsletters mirror
3. Updating of the EH Codex

You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. Simply saying "Yeah, I can do that" is not enough. Include specific examples and situations to back up your claims. You should meet at least the essential criteria to be considered for the position. You must include at least three (3) references in your application. At least one of these must be a former or, preferably, current superior. Ensure you have their permission first, as your application will be viewed in a negative light if you have not gained their permission. Should you be successful in the position, you will be expected to perform core duties of the position, including the initial work plan, to an acceptable level. You will also be expected to follow the EH Tasks outlined for the position of LO as listed at http://www.ehtiecorps.org/xo/EHtasks.htm Your performance in relation to the tasks list and the initial work place will form the basis of ongoing performance review for you.

Just a reminder about the competitions I'm running. They all close at the end of August (just over a week away). Details for them are below:

The hosting company will be performing maintenance works on Sunday August 22. The works will start at 11:59pm CDT and will take about 3 hours to complete. Some issues with accessing the TIE Corps site may be experienced during this period.

Today, August 21st, is the FC's Birthday, so that means, Awards! The Commendation of Loyalty is awarded all members of the Emperor's Hammer by the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer who have displayed tremendous dedication to the Fleet.

For the TIE Corps:
Each squadron commander can send any number of recommendations for awards to their respective Wing Commander. The Wing Commander chooses three (3) awards. Then these recommendations are forwarded up the chain of command to the respective Commodores and Battlegroup Commanders, making any possible corrections. Then the Battlegroup Commander collects the recommendations for his Battlegroup, and emails them to the Operations Officer, CC'ing the Flight Officer. Also, each Battlegroup Commander has the discretion to award a maximum of three (3) awards to his Flag Officers.

For elite squadrons (Avenger, Praetorian, Tau, and Omega), the commander can recommend up to one (1) award to their Battlegroup Commander (Omega - SovCOM; Avenger - ASF BGCOM), in the case of Praetorian and Tau Squadron, the CMDR will directly email the Operations Officer, also CC'ing the Flight Officer.

For the Dark Brotherhood:
Each Clan Consul will have the ability to recommend up to three (3) members from their clan to the Chancellor of the Brotherhood and the Grand Master. The Grand Master will also have a special discretionary award up to a maximum of five (5) awards. These final recommendations will be sent by the Grand Master to the Operations Officer.

Other Subgroups:
Each Subgroup (other than the Brotherhood) will have the opportunity to recommend a maximum of ten (10) awards. These will be sent directly to the Operations Officer.

Command Staff/Advisors:
Each CO will be allowed a small indeterminate level of awarding, to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. These recommendations also go to the Operations Officer.

ALL recommendations must have the subject heading: "CoL Recommendations" or they will be ignored.

Recomendations are due September 4th, 2004, at Midnight Eastern Standard Time. No late awards will be accepted.

I am leaving for my honeymoon in 30 minutes and will return next saturday. All COO operations will continue as normal due to the outstanding COO staff. Admiral Khadgar has access to awarding LoCs and access to the COO 24/7 LoC website. He will be able to award and LoCs that you desperately need on your profile. See everyone in a week.

Recently I've had a few requests for some members to be promoted to the rank of General while they are in FM or FL spots in squadrons. This is not allowed, nor will I ever allow this. However...

The rank of General is probably the most prestigious of all the ranks in the TieCorps. Very difficult to earn and highly respected, it is often reserved for Elite members who exhibit activity and loyalty above and beyond as well as Wing Commanders.

My exception to the "normal" squadron rule is that if a pilot comes from the reserves or transfers into a squadron and they held the General rank, they shall be allowed to retain it. These pilots have earned it, thus earning the right to keep the rank.

If a high ranking member RA and greater retires and comes back to the TC in a squadron FM position they sall revert to the traditional COL rank if they've never held the General rank before gaining their Admiral bars.

All members should make note of this and please don't bug me any more :)

24/7 LoC submission for at the COO site has been fixed and is now operational! Big thanks to General Kaerner and his PHP mastery! All Tie Corps members are free to play multiplayer games at any time and then submit them at http://combat.tiecorps.net

The COO 24/7 LoC Submission form is currently undergoing a bit of recoding. They system should be operational in the very near future. All LoCs that have been submitted over the past week will need to be resubmitted due to a loss in data. The Combat Operations Office apologizes for this inconvenience.

Echo Co has been created or redirected to be the FreeWorlds Training Company! If you create a clone for FW, please on your name add FW at the end of your profile name and in the notes section place Clone of (whateveryourpinis) for Free Worlds.

Iwats Core, Iwats FW, and 5 hours (Screenshot) of ingame playtime are the requirements.

Also before chosing a squadron contact RA Solar Machinus and Maj Caine of the Predator so they can place you where you should be.

Also, all EH people playing Freeworlds on Burnout contact RA Machinus about getting into a squadron tag (compulsory)

As well as selecting Squadron Commanders for the Predator Squadrons, we're also assigning people to FM positions. If you intend to continue playing Freeworlds as an EH character, it's important that you get yourself into a Squadron since the [EH] tag no longer exists.

The first thing to do is to read the Predator Mission Statement. This explains how everything will work. Then you need to email myself and WC/MAJ Marcus Caine and tell us:

• Which Squadron you wish to join (either Predator or non-Predator)
• If you wish to join with a Clone or your primary profile

The details on clones is in the Mission Statement. We'll reply with instructions ASAP.

Also note that unless you're name is down on the Wolf Squadron list, you should note be flying the TIE Phantom (technically using the [EH] tag is also illegal now).

With the opening of the ISD Predator we are now looking for possible Squadron Commanders to fill the newly created positions. Application details can be found on the EH message boards at: http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewtopic.php?t=3273

This is a great oppotunity to help with the intergration of the first MMORPG the TIE Corps has seen and the first new platform in a while. Participation in this project will have greater ramifications than just how Freewolds works, inculding helping the TC to prepare for JTL. The rewards for those willing to put the effort in to get Freeworlds of the ground will be great.

After some time the Bug in TIE-TC218 mission 3 crash at startup has been fixed!

Citing personal reasons, VA BubbaX has resigned as COM of the ISD Relentless and taken a position as FM in Viper Squadron.

AD Khadgar will be away until the 9th. He won't be able to answer any mails until then, or mark IWATS Trillian tests. Any questions about the ASF should be directed to VA Gilad Pelleaeon.

Maj Angel has stepped down as WC of Wing VIII, ISD Colossus, and MAJ Curtis was named the new WC of the Wing.
