Overview

The position of Infiltrator Wing Commander (IWCOM) involves the day-to-day operations and oversight of the subgroup, as well as development, implementation and follow-through of competitions and other activities for the entire subgroup. Appointment and review of IW command staff are also key duties for this position.

Selection Criteria – Essential

1. Experience at some level of command.
2. Good written communication skills
3. An acceptable level of presence in online media, such as IRC, message boards, etc.
4. Fast email response time.
5. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the Fleet Commander.

Selection Criteria – Desirable

1. Proven evidence of exceptional performance in a command position
2. Prior experience in the Infiltrator Wing.

Addressing the Selection Criteria

When addressing the selection criteria, you must supply supporting evidence to back up your claim of meeting the criteria. A generally accepted model is the STAR model, where you outline a Situation, Task, Action and Resolution relating to the criteria. You should meet at least the essential criteria to be considered for the position.

You must include at least three (3) references in your application. At least one must be a current or former superior (preferably current). Ensure you have their permission first. If it is found out that you have used someone's name without their permission, your application will be disqualified.

Performance Management

Performance will be evaluated in a number of key areas. These include submission of reports, number of complaints from members, online conduct, achieving tasks and duties outlined in the Training Manual, as well as tasks outlined in the EH Tasks List for this position. Above average performance will be rewarded, while below average performance, if continual, will result in removal from the position.

I have selected a new ASF BGCOM and a new ISD Grey Wolf Com. I realize that it has only been two days since I posted for applications, but I didn't give a deadline for a reason...I wanted to see who was the most interested in the positions and who has the online frequency need for the positions, especially for the ASF BGCOM position.

With this in mind I have selected VA Gidda as the next ASF BGCOM.

With the recent appointments of AD Gilad and VA Pickled Yoda to command staff positions, I will be accepting applications for the positions of ISD GreyWolf COM and ASF BGCOM.

All standard requirements will be adhered too...SM 3, No HCI or Charges against in the last 6 months etc etc.

VA Pickled Yoda has been appointed to Operations Officer and AD Gilad to Logistics Officer.

This week we had a 3 way match in light of CM Fahrer's late appearance in the Iron Mission Creation competition. It was between LC Mouse Droid, LC Ric Taldrya and CM Fahrer.

It was a hard fought battle in front of a very large crowd in the #TAC channel which results in the release of XvT Free 184, XvT Free 185 and TIE Free 254.
The winner of the match was Commander Fahrer who, even though arrived 1 hour late managed to create a very very good TIE mission. He will advance to the Semi Finals. The schedual for the semi-finals can be seen here.

Also, the Flying Challenge resumes for this week! the pilot who holds the high score for TIE Free 254 will be awarded the Iron Star!

The new Freeworlds Server is back up and play as resumed. The new server's IP is 209.200.19.44. All characters and previous settings have been restored. One thing that has changed is that all Krath are now on the Empire's Kill On Sight list. Any EHers with Krath characters must suspend use of either Krath or Imperial tags while hostilities exist.

Further, I'll be removing all Eidolon, Argosy and Rapax entries from our user list tonight. If you have not yet created an EH-F or EH-S pilot, now is your last chance. Please email me to get added.

TIE TC 223 and XvT TC 112 have been released at a mission compendium near you!

Unfortunately, due to a few inconvenient circumstances we're going to have to wait until Friday for the release of these two missions, hence, there won't be a flying challenge this week. I suggest you all participate in the FO Comp instead.

The Tactical Office is in need of new members for the TAC staff. I would like 3 new testers that are able to fly in each platform, as well as a new TCT for each platform. Requirements are as follows:

Tactical Surveyor (beta tester):
-Must own working versions of XvT, XWA and TIE
-Must be willing to work, TAC staff isn't a joke job to make your ID line longer, it is serious work and it is rewarded heavily should you work well.
-Proven flight activity
-Passed IWATS TACS

Tactician (Corrector):
-Must own working versions of at least one of the above
-Must have passed the IWATS mission creation course attached to the platform you plan on correcting for.
-Proven Mission Creation Knowledge, therefore, you must have at least sent in more then 1 battle/mission to the TAC office.
-Proven flight ability

I'm tired of asking for new staff, so this is likely to be the last one in a long time. Please only apply if you're sure you will work very hard for my staff.

CPT Daar Skeloria is victorious in the second Iron Mission Creator Match! An excellent show. CM Brukhar put up a good show however, the two missions are XvT Free 182 and 183. The medals were recommended.

As for the flying challenge, a total of 5 pilots participated, the number one pilot was COL Brucmack with a score of 55,580 he will receive the IS-BW!

Next week's match will be between LT Impulse and LC Ric Taldrya on saturday, April 16th 2005. 1300hrs EST in #TAC.

The pilot who has the high score for XvT Free 183 in exactly 1 week will be awarded the IS-BW or SW depending on how many pilots fly the mission.

Rear Admiral Locke Setzer has been promoted to the rank of VICE Admiral. He has basically turned around the performance and membership of the ISD Challenge in a very short period of time, meeting and surpassing all goals set for him by his BGCOM. I am happy to approve his promotion!

Colonel Malidir stepped down as Wing Commander of Wing XIV and joined the Reserves due to pressing RL obligations. Malidir has been an excellent leader and I would like to thank him for the good work done during his WC tenure. The position of Wing Commander on the ISD Intrepid (ASF) is now open for applications. Mandatory requirements are as follow:

• Previous command experience in the TIE Corps at the level of Squadron Commander or above.
• Good knowledge about the XvT/XWA platforms and Multiplayer.
  
• Fast email response time (no more than 48 hours).
  
• SM/3 and WC IWATS courses completed.
  

Applicants are expected to fulfill the following duties:

• Help the Commodore with day-to-day administration.
  
• Run regular competitions fir the Wing.
  
• Be a good example for the rest of the Wing (participating in competitions, flying SP & MP, passing IWATS courses, etc.)

As you see it's not an easy job but if you are a successful Wing Commander you will be rewarded accordingly. Submit your applications to VA Gidda with the subject "Wing XIV Application". If you want you may include one of your current superiors as reference.

I've just released XvT Free 181 which is the winning mission from yesterday's IRON MISSION CREATOR match! Congratulations to FA Den Darkhill for being victorious.

The TIE Corps pilot that has the highest score for this mission by next sunday will be awarded the IS-BW or IS-SW depending on how many people fly it! That is the Flying Challenge! Good luck pilots!

This week the Mission Creation Incentive ended. Congradulations to LC Ric Taldrya and VA Gidda for a shared 1st place victory in the battles division.

First place for missions was RA Locke Setzer. We saw alot of submissions this month and it was indeed a grand competition.

The Tactical pilot of the Month for March 2005 was COL Abel Malik. All medals were recommended!

Iron Mission Creator round 1 has begun, we'll see how it goes :)

Congrats to AD Gilad the ASF BGCOM for being the first person to read the FO report and correctly name the April Fools Move in the TC. He answered at 6:18pm, quickly followed by AD Khadgar at 6:19pm. The report went out around 6:10pm...You both need lives on a Friday Night! :P

The correct answer was VA Stele to the RSV's and Cpt Ninja to RA Ninja SOVCOM.
