So..what is the Directorate about? That's a good question. The Directorate is commonly referred to as the "political Subgroup" of the Emperor's Hammer. What this means is that we role play ourselves as the governors and leaders of the civilian aspect of the Emperor's Hammer. The DIR's activities revolve around ruling, securing and expanding the Emperor's Hammer Territories. What do you mean "Ruling...the EH Territories?" When we say we "rule (or govern) the EH Territories", we simply mean that the Role Play aspect of our group is focused on dealing with "laws" concerning EH citizens in RP. How Do I Get Involved in Legislature? The final system for Legislation in the DIR is still being reviewed by the Fleet Commander, but everything is in place for that. The role of governors as legislators revolves around of "Council of Moffs" of sorts in which governors propose and vote on bills. OK. So, how do you work games into this? Another excellent question. The DIR's mandate is not only to ensure the planets and their citizens are overseen, but to guarantee the safety of the citizens of the Hammer. Governors regularly engage in Empire at War, Galactic Battlegrounds, Battlefront and Warlords to prepare their "armies" and stragies. Sw33t! So, what are they preparing their armies for? The Directorate regularly runs "Campaigns" that involve every aspect of the group. Campaigns usually have stories focusing around a political or military crisis within the territories, and it is in these Campaigns that governors put what they have learned to the test against other members of the DIR and sometimes members of other EH Subgroups. I want to join! What should I do! For new members, simply click the "Join the Directorate" link to your left. If you are a returning member, you should fill out the same Join Form, then e-mail the Grand Moff (gmf@emperorshammer.org) with your old Directorate PIN and Name so he can update your rank and medals accordingly.

Now, the fun part - the new features! A complete list escapes me, but I'm sure you'll like what you see. Feel free to explore the site. Some things will seem similar. The DGA site is the same layout and basic setup, but with a new backend. The Manual is still using the same layout and has the same content. Everything else that comes to mind is new!

I can hear it now, "Where's the credit system you promised?!?!?!?". Well, the credit system is there, but the FC has asked us to hold off on its use until he completes an evil scheme of his. >:)

The Ministry Council and I have discussed this over and over, and we have come to the same conclusion. The best course of action is to start a new!

All command positions (except for MC) are open for applications! Ranks and medals will be retained, positions will not. Open Command positions will be detailed in coming news posts.

A long standing problem in the Directorate has been commanders disregarding the duties of their positions. This has come to an end. The following command positions have been opened. Setii System Moff The System Moff is charged with running the day-to-day affairs of the planetary system under his command. System Moffs are expected to write weekly reports, run competitions for their system, write monthly evaluations for the High Moff, and lead by example both in activity and conduct. Hades Governor General The Governor General is charged with one of the most important tasks in the Directorate - ensuring the happiness of Directorate members under his command. The Governor General is expected to participate with his governors, speak to his governors individually no less than once per week, write weekly reports, track the activity of his governors, and write monthly evaluations of activity for the System Moff. Applications for both positions should be sent to the GMF, and the DGMF. The sooner your application is in, the sooner you have a chance at getting started.
