For those of you who don't remember Grand Moff Farrin's mention of monthly evaluations in his recent reports, please note that the month ends (officially) at midnight tonight.

 This means that Governor Generals must have their monthly evaluations for their planets into the System Moffs essentially within the next 24 hours because System Moffs will have to have theirs into the Grand Moff by the 2nd of May.

 I cannot urge enough how important these evaluations are. Please take a short bit of time out of your busy day to write something up and send them in. Heck, I'm writing this from my Chemistry review session and plan on writing my evaluation in a couple of minutes here as well.

 Again, let's get those evals in on time! 

This is a reminder to everyone that there are a number of relatively easy competitions available. As we all know, competitions are an important measure of activity within the Directorate. After all, how can you expect to get promotions and shiny things without activity, right?

 I hope to see many more submissions for the competitions that are currently available!

Esteemed colleagues of the Directorate - I am pleased to announce the release of my personal office on the internet. Contained therein are resources for writing, graphics, and web development, for those who wish to take a more creative hand in the rebirth of the Directorate. Additionally, the results of my past and future competitions will be hosted there (in progress).

The Fleet Commander has announced the creation of an Emperor's Hammer Vent server. The software can be downloaded from www.ventrilo.com, and the EH information is as follows:

For those unfamiliar with Vent, it is a voice-chat system. Now, we can smack-talk not only via IRC, email, and the messageboards, but also vocally. Should be entertaining, to say the least. 

The Fleet Commander has resolved the server issue that was preventing any e-mails from being sent by EH sites. The server appears to have sent all those messages which were in queue, so you should receive any medal notifications that were sent.

As our lovely Czul noted, nobody is receiving emails from the website, and this includes medal approvals.

 I would suggest that if you feel you would have been awarded a medal of some sort in the past month (I just did a large number of medal requests this afternoon), that you check your profile. There were a great number of competition medals awarded, plus a few merit medals as well.

 I expect to be giving out a lot more medals in the coming future. Let's keep the activity on the rise! 

Yes, I am aware that no emails from the site are being sent. This seems to be a problem with the server itself, rather than the DIR site. I'll see what can be done.

When it rains it pours!

For some of you, this will be the...3rd or 4th time you've read something like this from me. Anyone, the Directorate website is located at http://ehdir.emperorshammer.net for the time being. It seems the ehdirectorate.com domain has expired. I haven't had a chance to talk to the Grand Admiral yet, so I have no idea if this will be permanent or temporary.

For the most part this simply means links in emails will be incorrect (I'll look at that after I hear from the FC), and there may be some issues regarding links on the site. However, the move does not affect the site or its database in any way, so there should not be any major problems.
