Operation: Mongoose

The call had come in the middle of the night. A summons sent from the highest levels of command, clouded in secrecy, it had the feeling of the past. The recipient of the message had once received them often, however over the last several years that had changed as he had retired from that life. The major difference in the message was that it had not come from the Supreme Director of Intelligence but from the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer.

Major General Ric Hunter, former member of the Ubiqourate and Praetorian Squadron Commander, checked the nav computer to make sure his shuttle was still on course. The shuttle had been a gift from the Supreme Director and he had made a few special modifications for these types of trips. He would have preferred to fly in his old YT-1300, the Holdout but it was rather distinctive in appearance and would have been missed from the hanger on Carridia II. Ric had donned commando armor and made his way via standard transport to the orbital shipyards and then to another transport that took him from their. Commandos were generally left to themselves by the rest of the passengers due to their temperament and the fact that they were usually heavily armed. He had chosen the armor for that fact as well as to disguise his movements. That had been several days ago and now he was on final approach to the DGN Lichtor V.

“Lichtor V, this is the shuttle designate DarkShadow requesting permission to dock in bay three,” he called.

“Roger, DarkShadow, permission granted for docking and welcome home, General,” the flight office replied . Ric smiled at that last part. He had spent almost half his TIE Corps career flying from this ship and it was nice to see somethings did not change.

On landing, he secured his ship and made his way to the old pilots section of the ship and from their to the briefing rooms. He sat in his old seat at the head of the briefing table and watched the hidden monitors waiting for the representative from the Fleet Commanders office to arrive. It hadn\'t taken long for the party to arrive.

Ric watched as the detail stopped outside the door and stationed themselves there as a single man entered the room. Ric had cut off all touch with the darkside of the Force years ago but could feel the power flowing from the new comer, instantly recognized the man as a former Grandmaster like himself.

“Hello Raps,” Ric said to the man shrouded in black. “Did you get that package I sent you?”

Upon appointment to the position of Executive Officer, Ric had sent Rapier a care package of many types of liquor and rare food from across the galaxy.

“Yes I did. It was...well interesting to day the least,” Raps smiled an gestured to the table. They settled themselves in an got to buisness...

TIE Golf results are in. As you may have heard in the TC meeting (shame on you if you weren\'t there :), the winner is HA Frodo March. And just as the past two years, he is also crowned the Grand Champion for lack of the previous Champion taking him on. Hurray!

A grand total of 72 medals were awarded, with COL Master taking most of them with 17. Here\'s the full tally:

• JH and up (will accept all applications incase someone below can wow me)

• Able to fill in in my absence

there is some UNI work i need to do, Czul and Keth can handel any of the minor problems or major ones, if you realy need to email me then do so but it might be more than 24-48 hours for an reply.

All troopers prepare to deploy for Operation Mongoose. Please make sure you report in to your leadership in the next 2 weeks as we shall begin on March 1st.  More information will be released when it becomes available.

Also, be ready for a new honor to be given to the four, yes FOUR, top placing troopers during this operation. They shall be given the honor of becoming the Prefects personal Commando Team for a two month period. These commandos will all be awarded not only this special honor but another shiney to hang on their uniform.

A new free mission has been released, XWA free 148 - Illustrious: Lucky Strike, the third installment in the series of missions involving the A/FRG Illustrious.

Please note: some people have reported the mission tends to crash the game when hypering to region #2. Other people have no problem at all. Pls let me know if it crashes for you as well, and include some specs if possible.

  After final approval from SA Rapier and GA Cyric I may now appoint a Master at Arms after a long application process.

  I had a lot of applicants for MAA over the past month. A few of those applicants were highly qualified for the job, but I could only choose one. And, I have to say, it was a tough choice. But, after careful consideration I have chosen Dark Adept Baron to finally fill the post. He has a long career and is well trainned for this position. I know he will do very well.

  Please join me in saying congrats to the new MAA! I would also like to thank everyone who applied.

 Now, the position of Headmaster has been open for the past few weeks since HM Dempsey expressed desire to step down after a long career. Thankfully, he choose not to step down until a replacement was found. After a long wait, it was.

  I would like to now announce the new Headmaster of the Shadow Academy, DJK Keth. He has served as Preator to the Headmaster in the past and is well versed in the duties of the position. I expect Dempsey to help him when he needs it until he is fully caught up with his task.

  At Dempsey's request, he has been transfered into HET Taranis to annoy DA Exar Kit as much as he can. Good luck Demps, and thank you for your service.

 Please make thease new Dark Council members welcome in their new positions.

I wanted to inform you all of the goals that have been set for the CSMA within the next 30 days.  This list is not exhaustive, nor is it rigid to the point of being inflexible if other things arise.  That being said, here is the list...

• Complete a thorough inspection of all current Hammer\'s Fist training material, focusing on spelling, grammar and content.
• Create a list of courses from the inspection that need to be edited, updated or discarded, sending the list to the Prefect and Vice Prefect for approval.
• Review and evaluate Hammer\'s Fist joining procedures for new members.
• Create a revitalized, entertaining and efficient plan for joining procedures of new members that will be sent to the Prefect and Vice Prefect for approval.

Some of this has already been worked on and is well on its way to being completed, but I will continue to update you all as we move forward.  Once these tasks are completed I will begin creating new courses for the CSMA, so keep on the look out for opportunities to be a part of the new CSMA.

Welcome Colonel Lyncoln Novell to the position of Commander of Training. His application was pretty much what we were looking for and I can\\\'t wait to see him go.

With this appointment, we are now at full tilt on the SOC. I am currently in the planning stages of our first operation as a new unit under my command so look forward to details as they emerge.  I am going to announce some special honors that are going to be awarded during the course of these operations and how you can win them.
