After serving as Tempest Squadron's commander for the past 10 months, COL Mordred has decided to step down from the position. We thank him for his service to Tempest and Battlegroup III!

Stepping up to replace him will be Tempest Squadron's executive officer (and the man COL Mordred originally replaced) - MAJ Morgoth!

As part of this command reshuffling, CPT Therj'en'nuruodo will step into the squadron executive officer role, and MAJ Grendel will return to the position of Flight Leader of Tempest Squadron Flight III.

Congrats to all, and good luck to Tempest Squadron and its new command structure!

Lieutenant Reece Torenn has been an amazing new member of Typhoon Squadron. He joined just prior to the start of the 2025 Raise the Flag competition and was a major reason for the squadron's 3rd place finish. In the two months since he joined he has flown 121 single player missions, written 23 battle reviews, 2 bug reports, 2 short fictions for the RtF bonus comps both placing in the top 10, he made 2 art entries for the bonus comps, he has passes 5 Imperial University courses, and has begun to join the Typhoon Squadron tradition of jumping on the weekly trivia competition as well. He has been a great addition to the squadron seeming to be happy to be here and I couldn't be happier recommending his promotion to Lieutenant Commander.

Lieutenant Commander Evil_Edgar is a fine example of what a Squadron Commander wants in a wingman; multi-talented and dedicated. Whether it be knocking out Single Player missions, acting as my wingman or adversary in X-Wing vs TIE Fighter matches, or throwing down over weekly trivia; Edgar has been a solid and dependable member of Scorpion Squadron since day one. For this, he is deservedly (and belatedly) promoted to Commander.

Commander Newt has maintained this rank since becoming a Flight Leader in BGIII back in August 2022, this was shortly before a couple of years in the Reserves for IRL reasons. Newt came back to active duty in late December 2024, joining Sin Squadron as a Flight Member.

During their time as Commander, Newt has earned 348 combined Legions of Combat and Skirmish, entered 11 competitions, completed 7 non-competition art pieces, and passed 11 Imperial University courses. Commander Newt has been an invaluable member of Sin's ReMob and RtF performances in 2025.

For these contributions and in celebration of their accomplishments here and previously in BGIII, we proudly recommend that Commander Newt be awarded the rank of Captain - with all rights, privileges, and responsibilities entailed.

One of the greatest strengths a Squadron can possess is having a motivated, determined and inspirational pilot within their ranks. Theta Squadron's newest Flight Leader is one such pilot. LCM Deonis Inzlem was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander in July of 34 ABY and since that time he has served with great honor and distinction.
He has successfully achieved both the time in rank and the number of merit medals required to see him through to the next chapter in his career within the TIE Corps: the rank of Commander.
Outside of his pilot duties, LCM Inzlem has proudly jumped feet first into his newest role as Flight III Leader, further ensuring the security, success and continuity of our Squadron and its commitment to a tradition of excellence is upheld. His actions reflect great credit upon himself, Theta Squadron, the TIE Corps, and the Emperor's Hammer. I am honored to formally promote him to the rank of Commander.
