Since becoming TCCOM, I've been working with the other admirals to make some decisions about who's going to be SOO and COO, then later who our new COMs will be. With those decisions made, we find ourselves here on the promised announcement day. |
Recently, GN Elwood the Brave resigned from the position of COOA after having processed thousands of screenshots over about a year and a half. It's a tedious, tiring, repetitive, sometimes mind-numbing process that often goes unrecognized for long periods of time, but it's a critical task that can't be automated in a foolproof way and so a few of us are stuck doing it by hand in order to make sure that everyone gets credit for all the MP missions they've flown. |
MAJ Alejandro Araujo, CMDR of Alpha Squadron, has been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel based on his COM's recommendation: 'Alejandro Araujo has shown exemplary performance over the last few months. He has shown consistent performance that netted him three Imperial Security Medals, a Palpatine Crescent and now a Silver Star in his term as a Major. I believe it is befitting to advance him to the next rank of Lieutenant Colonel with the consideration of the Admiralty Board.' Congratulations, LC Araujo! |
Congratulations to LT Genie on his promotion to Lieutenant Commander! | ||
Congratulations to LT Firebreaker Terrik on his promotion to Lieutenant Commander! |
GN Jarek La'an now officially holds the title that's always truly been his. Congratulations on your appointment as COMM, FA La'an! |
SL Griggs D'Arc of Rho Squadron has been promoted to full Lieutenant based on his CMDR's recommendation: 'Since joining Rho Squadron, SL Griggs D'Arc has wasted little time finding his bearings. He updated his INPR, joined the conversation on Discord and Telegram, uploaded a uniform, participated in the Trivia Grand Tour, and passed his first IU course. For this level of activity, I recommend a promotion.' Congratulations, LT D'Arc! |

Compared to Battlefront II (2005), Elite Dangerous probably isn’t as well-known here in the TIE Corps. Also, its primary gameplay isn’t match-based like we have in our other games so we’d have to think of the right way to track and reward activity in a game like this. But before we dig too far into that, I wanted to get a sense of what you’re thinking now with a quick poll.
Over on https://tc.emperorshammer.org/timetest.php?testid=703745, I’m asking the same questions I’m asking about Classic Battlefront II. If you don’t already own or if you haven’t spent much time in Elite Dangerous, you might want to spend some time on YouTube checking it out to get a sense of what it’s about before you answer the poll questions.
Also, nobody’s making any commitments at this point, it’s not like a majority voting Yes will make Elite Dangerous a supported game overnight. There’s a lot to consider and we’ll take our time on that.
Thanks in advance for all of your feedback!
After some reworking of the database’s Timed Event function by our FSE, GN Dempsey (thanks!), I have what I need to do some polling in way that sends your comments directly to me. Sure, email works for that too, but doing it this way gives it some structure and makes it easier for me to sift through all the information I’ll be getting back.
Up first is Classic Battlefront II. We’ve extended support to both of the newest entries in the Battlefront franchise, but there’s still a lot of love for and activity in the original Battlefront II. Definitely could work as an official game for the TIE Corps, but should we add it to our list? Let me know on the official poll at https://tc.emperorshammer.org/timetest.php?testid=520637. I’ll share the results with rest of the TCCS and we’ll decide whether we want to make a change or keep things as they are.
The poll is open now and will close at midnight GMT on the 4th, which happens to be Star Wars Day.
Thanks in advance for all of your feedback!
