The mod team over at The Dutchman's Domain have launched their latest update to their Empire at War fan mod.

G'DAY PILOTS OF THE TIE CORPS!

The first few sessions of the EH exclusive DnD game are underway and already showing potential to be a great source of fun for all participating. So far we currently have 9 members from across all three ships participating and we could always have more join us!

Currently the scene is the following:

-An expeditionary force was sent to a sector in the Unknown Regions for expansion and possible settlement when the ISD that was carrying our players have been shot down mysteriously and all survivors are now trapped in a mysterious planet.

-The group has taken a small rundown camp and have slightly fortified it as a means for survival

-Salvage efforts are going well in putting together a shuttle from the wreckage that survived atmospheric entry, although they are missing several key systems needed for it to function.

-The group have made contact with a strange and mysterious Warlock that has uncanny abilities, the group is unsure whether it is the Force or something more arcane.

And that sums up the first two sessions that have currently been played. Each weekend the group gets to vote on what day the next session takes place and the campaign is intended to run, for at least the time being, a whole year. So don't be afraid of missing something, as you can join in on the fun at ANYtime.

We will try to keep weekly updates as best as possible (unless IS4 takes priority) Should you wish to join the Campaign, whether you are New to DnD or a long time Veteran, we will welcome you to join us in this thrilling adventure! All of this doesn't take into account the Legions earned and being heavily involved with the Airlock Podcast and Sith & Star Destroyers rpg. LT Newt is a great asset to Tempest Squadron, the ISDII Challenge and the TIE Corps as a whole. With the completion of the TCCORE exam and a merit medal earned every month without fail. In the previous 2 years as Commander of Theta, COL Pete Mitchell has remained a dedicated and stalwart leader of his squadron onboard the ISDII Warrior.

While I have had limited time spent as Commodore, I cannot be more pleased with his knowledge and bearing running his squadron and providing guidance for his pilots. He has remained a steady, direct figure for his squadron, leading them to second-place squadron in Raise the Flag 2020, completing 11 tasks in Squadron (Re)Mobilization 3, and second-place Warrior squadron in Raise the Flag 2021.

With a combined tenure of 2 years 5 months as Commander, 3 months as Commodore, 1 year as Strategic Operations Officer, and 1 year 9 months as TIE Corps Commander, I feel that Colonel Pete Mitchell has displayed the character that exemplifies the values of the TIE Corps.

It is for all the above stated reasons that I humbly recommend Colonel Pete Mitchell be promoted to General.

I've been working with Pete for a very long time now, all the way from when he showed up in Kappa Squadron just because he wanted to fly a TIE Defender to WarCOM to SOO to TCCOM to retirement and then back in the saddle as Theta CMDR. I'm proud to be part of his completing his rank collection with the final addition of General, the rank he's earned by having done so much good for the TIE Corps over the last five years.

If she's ever lost it in the Warrior's Cantina again, I'll be there. I know I said I hate it when she does that, but I never really meant it.

As the ISDII Warrior was on its way to reaching its hard cap of 48 pilots between 4 squadrons, VA Marenta and I discussed how we wanted to address that on the roster. Rather than pulling an experienced officer from a squadron to lead a newly-formed squadron and then doing the usual redirection of every recruit to the new squadron, we're trying out a different path. To let a talented leadership team have more pilots to work with and to ease the pressure the roster puts on us to open new squadrons, we've decided to test increasing the maximum number of pilots in a squadron to 16. This will be limited to the four squadrons on the ISDII Warrior for now but may expand to the other ships later on.

The way we chose to increase the max size of a squadron was to add a fourth flight to each of them. This creates an additional Flight Leader position and three additional Flight Member positions in each squadron.

The immediate concern is that this would cause balance issues in any competitions that have a squadron component like TIE Corps in Battle, Squadron (Re)Mobilization, and Raise the Flag. We're far enough into the TCiB season that this shouldn't cause a significant impact in the final standings, especially since it takes time to recruit pilots and get them flying. For the other competitions, we have an additional variable to consider when putting together the rules for this year's iterations.

Since this is a test, this new structure isn't yet permanent. We'll be keeping in touch with the CMDRs of the affected squadrons and getting their feedback as time passes. If we reach a point where it's clear that larger squadrons have some unintended drawbacks, we'll revert to the 12-pilot max and reassign pilots as needed. We'll also be working with the Commodores of the ISDII Hammer and ISDII Challenge to determine if an increase to the max size of the other squadrons is warranted.

Imperial Storm Turn 5 has been completed and publicly there are no changes to the map as of yet. All three teams had forces arrive at worlds at the end of Turn 4 and are in the process of taking these - teams will begin earning points from these conquests on turn six.

In addition, Ossus has participated in several Fleetwide Competitions, including the Trivia Grand Tour, Crossword Challenge, Challenge With Words, TIE Corps Jigsaw Puzzle Extravaganza, and Legion's Challenging Time Trials. Last, but not least, Ossus has been a steadfast team member of The Jolly Rhogers in the Chalquilla Cup II.

Since his promotion to Lieutenant Commander on the 3rd day of the Twelfth month of the Imperial year, LCM Vapen Vanman has amassed 108 Legions of Combat and 293 Legions of Skirmish. Such a record is duly impressive, but what stands out about LCM Vapen Vanman is his dedication to ongoing improvements to participation and communication within Rho. He has also taken on more leadership duties within the squadron after accepting the appointment of Flight Leader for Flight Three.

Most impressively, LCM Vapen Vanman was the top scoring pilot for Rho Squadron in this year's Raise the Flag Competition. Pacing our efforts as a squadron to represent Rho in Fleetwide Competitions, Vanman has participated in the Trivia Grand Tour, Crossword Challenge, TIE Corps Jigsaw Puzzle Extravaganza, and Memes Competition. Last, but not least, Vanman was nominated to serve as Team Captain for The Jolly Rhogers in the Chalquilla Cup II.

Given the first bunch of turns are usually rather slow, as you'd expect from a map based game where teams start apart from one another the team captains and I have elected to compress the first four turns into a single day, jumping if you will from turn one all the way to turn four.

Whilst I don’t have any battles to report on just yet, I can report that all there teams have made headway in taking worlds on the map.. news that will no doubt be fleshed out by the Imperial News Network (channel #imperial-news-network on your favourite discord server!)

As of this moment Challenge forces have been sighted in orbit at Batuu & Lao-Mon. Hammer forces have arrived at Gannaria & Moddell Secundus systems and fleets bearing Warrior insignia have been seen at Firrerre & Spar Alpha.

All of these systems are in the process of being taken - a process that requires said forces to spend a complete turn in the system - before they can move on.

We will be processing Turn Five orders on Saturday (GMT) and I will let you know as and when our first combat even occurs.

Welcome all to Imperial Storm! The TIE Corps WarGame that pits all three of our Star Destroyers against each other.

The game kicks off Friday the 8th of April and will run for 30 days, each day being one turn of the game. Each of our team Captains (VA Silwar, VA Marenta and COL Genie) have assembled a fleet in discussions with their ships which will be used to take and hold worlds on a map of the area we currently call home. Whenever opposing teams meet, a battle will ensue and this is where YOU, the pilots of the TIE Corps play a key role. How you fly will determine how well your team does, and who will take the bragging rights when the game ends on May 8th.

What are the rules? I hear you ask?
Well that is the beauty of D&D, Rules and how to play will be explained as you join the game, but know that there isn't a "set" of rules, more of guidelines. The guidebooks will help you learn, but so will the veteran players and myself, the DM (Dungeon Master/the one who runs the campaign).

What is my promise to you?
A lot of people hear the joke where a DM tries to kill off the entire party all the time every time. While that is a funny joke at times, my guarantee to you is that I handcraft EVERY campaign I make for YOU the player to have fun, not the other way round. If YOU aren't having fun, then I as a DM have failed, and I will NOT fail.

He has earned Bronze and Silver stars nearly every month and earned 250 Legions of Combat in his last six months as LC, all while supporting his pilots. For his service to the Fleet and the Empire, I recommend he be promoted to the rank of Colonel.

Over the last two months Ivan Hordiyanko has been at the top of the PvP Killboard earning over 200 Legions of Combat while gaining Bronze and a Silver Stars along the way.

Imperial Storm is a turn based war game that sees a trio of teams (Challenge, Hammer and Warrior) fight it out over a map of worlds in the sector we’re currently based in. Each of the 30 turns lasts for 24 hours with orders submitted by the Team Captains to the gamesmaster daily. The three teams will be vying to earn points by taking the different worlds in the sector whilst destroying the enemy fleets wherever they find them.

Whilst the Team Captains will be responsible for sending me their orders, their teams performances in any battles will be dictated by YOU, the pilots of the Fleet.

Rho Squadron is going through a changing of the guard. First of all I want to thank LC fr0Zen for his tenure as Rho Squadron CMDR, completing multiple successful tours during intense levels of activity! LC fr0Zen will be stepping down into an FM position, 3-2, and we thank him for his service.

Taking the CMDR position will be CM Westric Davalorn who has spent multiple tours as Rho's SQXO and as FL of Flight 2, and with his assistance in helping LC fr0Zen lead Rho Squadron, he makes a natural pick for succession. Congratulations and best of luck to CM Westric Davalorn, we look forward to seeing Rho's success under your leadership!

Due to the amount of activity and tutelage that LCM Vapen Vanman has received during his time in Rho Squadron, he makes an easy transition from FM to FL of Flight 3. Congratulations to LCM Vapen Vanman on moving into the FL position!

His participation in outside activities, as well as his respectable display of the model Emperor's Hammer TIE Pilot, show his ability to lead not only his squadron, but in public events which Emperor's Hammer has participated. Always a faithful wing-mate, he provides positive correction and never backs down from teaching or learning about the art of flying. MAJ fr0Zen is an upstanding example to the Corps as a whole, and it is for all of the previously stated reasons and many more that I hereby recommend his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LC).
