Plif checked and rechecked the chronometer embedded in the arm of his chair before taking in the sweeping vista visible ahead of him. Since coming onboard the Hammer late last year engineers and technicians had worked tirelessly to convert a space above the bridge into something of a personal command centre, from where the TCCOM could oversee operations of the wider fleet without being disturbed by day-to-day bridge operations.

Ahead of him, arrayed beyond the protective transparisteel viewports were elements of the Hammer’s task force, Strike Cruisers, Frigates, a number of corvettes and the Star Destroyer Grey Wolf. All set for battle and awaiting the go ahead to begin operations, much as their compatriots aboard the Challenge and Warrior were in their respective launch zones.

Plif checked the chronometer again and unclipped his comm unit, the moment of truth was here. The Ishtari homeworld had been located deep inside a star cluster, the Assurian Halo in the neighbouring sector, it was time for the Emperor's Hammer to remind the galaxy of the Empire and bring liberation and order to the subjugated worlds of the sector. Pacification of the Ishtari homeworlds being the end goal of the campaign.

We are proud to present updated medal renders, along with several new or updated designs, for awards of the Emperor’s Hammer (main fleet) and the TIE Corps.

This effort was made possible through a small team, consisting primarily of RA Robert Hogan and MAJ Kalve Ryder who did all of the heavy lifting in terms of reverse engineering, modeling, and rendering, with myself constantly bothering them with new ideas and requests. I’m quite pleased with the final effort, and I’m glad to finally get to share it with the membership.

The updated medal images are viewable on the medal board, as well as on the Emperor’s Hammer Wiki.

Note: If you have accessed these images in recent history, it is possible that you will see (old) cached images. CTRL+F5 will force a page reload and re-download of cached content.

Some highlights include:

• A slightly updated design for the Imperial Security Medal, now proudly displaying the TIE Corps emblem.
• Individually rendered versions of certain medals that are always issued with attachments, such as the Medal of Tactics, Medal of Communication, and the various flavors of the Iron Star.
• New designs for the Medal of Communication and Medal of Instruction that brings these up to 3D render standards.
• New design for the EH commendation awards, with individual renders for each of the four types.
• The Imperial Achievement Ribbon and Letter of Achievement, while officially displayed as a ribbon only, now feature a standardized bronze medallion paired with the ribbon. This provides these awards a consistent means of display along with other EH and TC awards.
• The newly (re)implemented Medal of Scholarship, awarded under the auspices of the Training Office for creation of IU course content.

The Training Office is proud to announce the reactivation of the Medal of Scholarship, an Emperor's Hammer service award for contributions to the Imperial University. Used to recognize the expansion of Imperial knowledge and academic thought, it will be awarded to members who significantly edit, correct, or create new courses. The official requirements are:

The Medal of Scholarship is awarded to any Emperor's Hammer member who expands the Imperial University’s body of knowledge by creating a new course and supporting materials, or who substantially revises an existing course (generally considered to be changing at least 50% of the course content to include notes and the exam). Such new course or revised course must have been approved for instruction within the Imperial University according to Training Office procedures.

Occasionally, veteran pilots want to be a part of the community more than they can from the Reserves but less than an active duty squadron with their usual operational tempo. Also, some pilots find themselves wanting to participate in the big Corps-wide events but do their own thing the rest of the time, particularly if they have other TC or EH primary roles. To appeal to these pilots, I’ve decided to launch Spectre Squadron. Spectre will remain assigned to Wing XVIII on the SSD Avenger as it’s currently situated on the Order of Battle, which separates it from the three active battlegroups and lets it do its own thing.

Spectre will participate in Corps-wide competitions as a squadron but won’t contribute to any battlegroup-level standings. Avenger Squadron has participated this way in the last few Raise the Flags and Squadron (Re)Mobilizations, so this isn’t entirely new.

One thing I want to stress is that Spectre will uphold the same AWOL and Involuntary Reserves standards as the other active duty squadrons. Though it’s positioned as a compromise between active duty and the Reserves, it will be run as an active duty squadron. The main difference will be the lack of squadron and battlegroup competitions, though Spectre pilots will still be encouraged to work on Corps-level activities like the big events and combat ratings. This’ll be one more thing I can offer to pilots in Inactive status or the Reserves in the hopes of getting more of them back onto the active duty roster.

To lead a squadron focused on veterans, I’ve selected someone who I can count on to manage what will probably be a low month-to-month activity level without burning out, won’t try to poach pilots from other squadrons, and won’t move on unexpectedly leaving us without someone to lead this unusual unit. I’ll be taking command myself, with the assistance of IO/FA Turtle to create a dual profile for me and SOO/AD Clark who’ll serve as Spectre’s SQXO.

If there any questions concerning Spectre Squadron, please raise those through the chain of command. Not because I don’t want to hear from you directly, but it’ll allow the CMDRs and BGCOMs to answer questions if and when they get asked again.

From the Commander of Lambda Squadron, MAJ Solohan50:

Gytheran is an exemplary pilot whose tenure with Lambda has been as littered with broken records as much as it has been littered with "salvaged" parts. He's a pilot who truly has it all; he flies more than entire squadrons combined, he absolutely dominates any Killboard he decides to participate in, and yet he still manages to find time to help the TC grow and to help any pilots who need assistance. His assistance helped the COO make SWTOR a primary game in record time and he's become the Hammer's resident expert in the game, spending a lot of time answering questions, helping new players find their footing, and generously donating to new players to get them established. It's very uncharacteristic for a Jawa to be charitable, so this makes it even more impressive!

It has been an absolute pleasure to have him in Lambda and I couldn't ask for a better SQXO (and he's definitely better than Lambda's previous SQXO!). For these reasons and so many more, I wholeheartedly recommend that he be promoted to Major. Keep up the good work!

General Jarek La’an has been the Commander of Epsilon Squadron for just shy of a year now, having answered the call and stepped in when the squadron previous commander stood down last year. During this time in command he has lead Epsilon superbly, being a reliable leader who has forged a group of pilots that did well in Raise the Flag 2022 and have continued to enjoy themselves in the TIE Corps. For that he has my utmost thanks!

However due to ever growing Real Life commitments, he has elected to call time on this posting and step back to a Flight Member role for the immediate future.

I am therefore pleased to announce that LCM Nova Discordia, the current Epsilon Squadron Executive Officer has been selected to step up and take over as Epsilon Commander. Well done Nova, we look forward to seeing how you continue to grow Epsilon and take on new challenges. I would also like to thank all those TC members who took the time to make their interest known, I will keep tabs on all of you as we routinely have openings across the three battlegroups where you can look to command a squadron!

Commander is a position of great importance in the TIE Corps, each commander is entrusted with 11 other members well being and we have often heard said that a commanders performance can have a significant impact on how their members progress.

General Genie has been one of those rare gems, a individual who has thrown himself into the TIE Corps unreservedly and has strived to make the place a better experience for all.

I’ve been lucky to have him as a Commander since I stepped back onto the Hammer as its Commodore and then BGCOM and working with him has been a undeniable highlight of my time in this position, a lot goes on behind the scenes and Lambda especially have been lucky to have him. So from me, it’s a heartfelt thank you for everything you’ve done, it’s been a pleasure Genie and I look forward to the next time.

That said, all good things come to a close eventually and Genie has elected to take a step back to being a FM for a while.

In his place I am pleased to see Major Solohan50 take the helm, we expect great things from our new Ewok Commander!

The Logistics Office has finalized an update to the EH Wiki and the ability to use Interwiki Linking has been enabled. Interwiki linking allows users to link to other wiki-style databases and treat them as internal links. See wikipedia's article on interwiki linking for more information on how to use this feature.

For a full list of sites that can be enabled for interwiki capabilities, see the EH Wiki list of Interwiki websites. Any site that is noted as Yes to Forwarding, can be linked to using interwiki linking.

The primary reason for this update was to add Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Fandom Wiki, to the list of interwiki sites. This means that all pages that include external links to Wookieepedia articles can be converted to interwiki linking. This will be addressed for outstanding articles the Logistics Office maintains over time. Individual members can update their pages at their leisure. Additionally, there is also now a template to aid in rapidly deploying interwiki links to Wookieepedia: SW Wiki Template

A special thanks to CPT Xander Drax for requesting this feature be enabled on the EH Wiki.

In the time that MAJ Westric Davalorn has led Rho Squadron as Commander, I have seen nothing short of an outstanding performance and impeccable character. Not only is he a dedicated leader, he displays an innate capability to demonstrate drive and passion for his pilots. His commitment to act as a role model gives his subordinates the encouragement to perform to their best and act as an example to the Emperor’s Hammer organization and wider gaming community. He has encouraged Rho to participate in all levels of activity across the fleet as well as directing participation in Raise the Flag 2022 to stunning success, earning fifth place squadron as well as personally earning top marks in Rho and tenth place in the fleet overall.

In the previous five months he has: placed 1st in the Beta Patch competition; 3rd in the Beta Banner competition; 2nd in the Raven Patch competition; 2nd in the Another Patrol Fiction Prompt; 2nd in the Firebird Banner competition; 3rd in Emperor’s Hammer at War; 3rd in the BGIII Patch competition; 2nd in the BGIII Banner competition; 2nd in the TIE Corps Needs You!; and 4th in the Mascot Design. He has placed: 10th for TF in Round 2 of Season 5 TCiB; 6th for Co-Op Ace of the TIE Corps for October; 11th for TF in Round 3 of Season 5 TCiB; 5th for Single Player Ace of the TIE Corps for November; 6th for Co-Op Ace of the TIE Corps for November; 10th for TF and 7th for XWA in Round 4 of Season 5 TCiB; and 8th for PVE Ace of the TIE Corps for 2022. He also ran two competitions for Rho Squadron; submitted five Rho Squadron reports; received ten Imperial Achievement Ribbons; set four new High Scores for missions in the compendium; and received two Silver Stars and two Bronze Star merit medals for his contributions during his tenure as Major.

It is for these reasons, and his continuous contributions to Rho Squadron, that I proudly recommend Westric Davalorn for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel.

Ever since CPT andr3 reported for duty as the new Sin Squadron Commander in mid-November, he has shown nothing but dedication and alacrity to learning his role as Commander of Sin Squadron, finding his stride with his compatriots, and engaging with his new squadron - adapting to the new personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. He wasted very little time getting acquainted with the rigors of the job, and threw himself into the duty with steadfast determination.

During his brief time on the Warrior, he has: placed 7th for TF and 10th for XvT in Round 3 of Season 5 TCiB; placed 6th as Single Player Ace of the TIE Corps for November; placed 6th for TF and 8th for XvT in Round 4 of Season 5 TCiB; placed 1st as Single Player Ace of the TIE Corps for December; and placed 6th as Single Player Ace of the TIE Corps for 2022. I have found his time onboard the Warrior to be engaging and active; seeking to continue with two previous Sin Squadron competitions and getting that approval, he has also completed over 120 Single Player missions, written 30 reviews, and perfected the Sin Squadron report.

I cannot find a more worthy candidate for promotion to Major than andr3. Thank you for all your work, and I hope to continue working with you as Sin Squadron Commander!
