Over a decade ago, the TIE Corps Commander's dreams became reality in a forum never seen before: Raise the Flag, a giant combat arena where every available ship, squadron and pilot was called to duty to fight for power and glory. The victorious would be granted the highest awards and honors, and the ship would have the highest responsibility of carrying the Flag of the TCCOM.
Last year in 2022, the spoils of victory went to the ISD Hammer, Lambda Squadron and Genie, respectively crowned Flagship, Escort Squadron and TCCOM's Wingman
This year, the Battlegroups fighting for this flag are Battlegroup I, commanded by Rear Admiral Genie , Battlegroup II, led by Admiral Marenta, Battlegroup III, led by Admiral Stryker, and finally the VSD Aggressor home to Avenger Squadron.
A wide range of activities will count points in this competition. Details are still pending as we finalize this years rules. TIE Corps officers will partake in any and every way they can for the glory of their battlegroups, their squadrons, and themselves! Every battle, reputations are on the line in Raise the Flag, as master pilots pit their activity against each other.
Which vessel will become the flagship of the TIE Corps? Whose laser beam will reign supreme? Who will be the last ones standing?

Over the past few months Gytheran has been steadily running SWTOR competitions that resulted in a steady and constant growth for the game within EH. He has also been participating himself in a number of competitions. As the XO for Lambda, he was an immense help for Solohan, helping both with award tracking and organizing of Lambda get-togethers, assisting Solohan in maintaining the weekly outings of Lambda.
In his first month as the CMDR of Lambda, Gytheran guided Lambda to completing all the squadron remob tasks! He joins the VC regularly and is helpful to a number of pilots in the games he plays. He actively promotes gaming activity across the fleet. The icing on the cake is that he recently started making EH promotional videos for our EH youtube channel.
Indeed this is an impressive contribution from "Pops".

With Alpha Squadron's CMDR having been removed, its SQXO having resigned with a self-published list of grievances, and its FL having been complicit in the creation of a separate Discord server where the three of them could establish a secret echo chamber to drag the rest of the squadron into, we were faced with a decision to make about Alpha's future. We could put another leadership team in place and try to make it work, but we felt that its recent history might cloud its future. Rather than creating a situation where someone new would have to come in and "turn things around", RA Genie and I have agreed on closing Alpha and reassigning its pilots to other squadrons as a way to wipe the slate clean and give them a fresh start. We have other squadrons that've been asking for more pilots to fill their ranks, and while this might not be what they had in mind I believe that this will be a net benefit for everyone involved.
Alpha pilots have already been made aware of the intent to have them transfer elsewhere and I've got one request pending that I'll process after this announcement. Alpha Squadron will be decommissioned once all of its pilots have been transferred. This isn't the end of the story for Alpha, of course, I'm sure we'll see it return at some point with the ISDII Hammer having built up the kind of momentum that it has right now.
On July 9th it was brought to my attention that LC Alejandro Araujo has submitted close to 800 XvT PvP and PvE matches of a questionable nature.
An investigation was opened into these questionable activities showing that a vast majority of the matches did not meet the 10 minute criteria and all of them were against a person he claimed was a neighbor but whose IP was from Boston and yet he spoke no english. The red flag on these matches is that the supposed friend always lost with 0 kills.
When confronted with these accusations Alejandro chose to ignore repeated attempts by COO Silwar to question him about it, disappeared from Discord for over a week, continued to ignore PMs and Emails from investigators until he finally removed himself from the TC Discord Server.
So with no plea entered or defense for his actions Alejandro Araujo is hereby convicted of Cheating. This carries a mandatory sentence of a demotion to Sub-Lieutenant, loss of command position (if any), and loss of all medals. In addition he will lose all of his high scores and FCHG points and will not be allowed to submit new high scores. His combat record will be erased, and the files related to the pilot's past record declared invalid for resubmission.
The effects his entire EH profile so any other group activity is also questionable and will be removed.
Case Closed as of 12:13 July 22 2023.

With Raven Squadron having been our smallest squadron for a while, the idea of merging it with another IW squadron was floated and ultimately accepted. Raven's pilots have been transferred to Firebird Squadron with the former CMDR of Raven, CPT Atashi Rain, now serving as the SQXO of Firebird. Thank you for your service and good luck in your new role!
After gaining pilots from Raven, Firebird now stands at 11 pilots and is the largest squadron in BG3. Raven has been closed, naturally, so now there are only four squadrons in BG3 competing for new pilots that come in without a recruiter or squadron preference. That's a big reason why we landed on a merger instead of trying to rebuild, new pilots are in limited supply so I can't just rely on routing inbound pilots to a particular squadron for a while. Many thanks to the members of Raven Squadron for being open to a merger and beginning a new chapter as members of Firebird.

Following the transfers of its pilots to other squadrons or the Reserves and in the case of CMDR/LC Legion Ordo a stepping back to two Assistant positions, Thunder Squadron on the ISDII Challenge has been decommissioned.
There's a natural ebb and flow to the active duty roster so we sometimes run into situations where we can either try to rekindle a squadron or fold its remaining pilots back into other units, and the latter is what we've chosen this time. With other BG3 squadrons already trying to regrow, consolidating its squadrons is our plan keep everybody engaged and supported as we continue to put effort into recruitment and retention.
It's always sad to have to close a squadron, but it's never really goodbye as the Emperor's Hammer continues its march forward. 28 years and counting, thanks to the efforts of many members over our long journey together. For the Empire!
The TIE Fighter Total Conversion (TFTC) mod for XWAU, developed in part by LT Angel, has just released a new version.

Thirty days and plenty of missions later TIE Corps Exercise: Squadron (Re)Mobilization 5 came to an end last week. Now that the dust has fully settled on counting up some of the items the database does not track I can confirm the individual squadron results and rewards.
I hope you all enjoyed the competition and remember, ReMob is somewhat unique in the TC at the moment as its not a competition between squadrons, its a challenge to each squadron to see what they can do and the only measure is against yourselves.
Not all types of activity counted this year, but we had a good number of squadrons make headway with the Wiki, IU Courses, fiction writing and flying... a few even attempted the battle outline task!
Kudos to both Lambda & Rho for making me eat my hat when I thought nobody would make 48/48 tiers, but also congratulations to everyone who took part. And because all these merit medals and Imperial Achievement Ribbon recommendations all are invariably accompanied by my impressed and uncaveated verbal applause, Maston Dane deserves every kind word I can write. Maston brings to the table more than just his flight prowess and activity (which is visible in his daily screenshot postings that show massive kill counts and his name invariably at the top of the leaderboard) -- he brings his signature unflagging positive attitude, a commitment to working with teammates, and massive efforts to explore the offerings of the TIE Corps at his fullest ability.

TIE Corps Exercise: Squadron (Re)Mobilization 5 has now come to an end, thank you for taking part and I hope you have enjoyed the month long competition!
I am compiling the final list of completed tiers which should be released shortly along with the rewards both individual pilots and squadrons have earned.
Thanks to the constant feedback from the passionate Squadron Commanders, the Training Office is proud to announce the much-awaited update of Squadron Management 5, becoming Squadron Management 6! A plethora of gratitude is owed to the team behind it's update, LC Vapen Van’an, CPT JetMech, and VA Robert Hogan, and their leader, LC Legion Ordo.
Also, considering the Certificate of Naval Doctrine required the completion of SM/5, the certificate has been updated to have the option to choose between SM/5 and SM/6 for the certification completion. Keep in mind that SM/5 is now inactive and can no longer be taken moving forward. This is simply to ensure that those that have earned the certificate do not feel obligated to take the new course to keep their well-earned certification.
