The battle was originally created on a PII 200. What I'm seeing is a wide range of problems across various CPU speeds. I flew the battle myself again on a 2.1 gig machine, and ran into all sorts of timing problems because of the faster processor. All I can say is that it runs perfectly on a PII. What I can say is this. My biggest mistake was having events based on time instead of having them based on what the pilot does. As you can imagine, on faster PCs, the timing gets really screwed up which caused these problems. Well. I see this as a very valuable lesson and learning process. I went for an epic story and tried to make it unusual and interesting, but I see now, I needed to have constructed the battle in a different way than I did. Also it was specifically designed to use custom pilot ships, which would have mitigated some of the difficulty levels some pilots expressed to having. The ships were still pending being patched, but I should have waited until they were and I could add them in. My apologies to those of you who had a terrible time with it...

Very imaginative Plotline, but I couldn't complete the battle because of the bug in mission three and unusually difficult victory conditions in mission 5--even on easy. :(

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! That was... very enjoyable. Felt like I was the star in a movie :P. Very well put together. It'll be one of the battles that reside permanently in my missions folder.

Ugh. My first XWA Battle experience and it had to be this one. It's almost as bad as those dang CABs--long on shooting and short on story. And what little story there was... very inconsistant.

Total comedy and highly imaginative! Someone said the battle was too long. define 'too long'. If it takes too long to finish a mission, you're seriously mismanaging your resources. Take Haevy Rockets! For when it absolutely positively have to kill something big fast. Mission 1 was a bit tough. There were more big ships than I had enough rockets to kill... :). Mission 5 is a serious excercise in situational awareness. You can just as easily smack into an enemy ship as kill it. Overall, the battle was deceptively tough in areas. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Not a bad little battle... Nice premise, if some of the allocation of resources was a bit wonkey. I.e. having to go back for reloads in a T/D when a MIS would have been a much more economical vehicle to use... :)

The missions were interesting and challenging--even if the plotline was a little gruesome. LOL!

This battle severly sucks! You *don't* leave enough time to deal with attacks while trying to complete primary goals!

... The 2 is respect for having the infinite patience to put together and playtest such a massively repetative series of missions. I sure didn't have the patience to finish after hitting that one bug around Mission 13 that forced me to fly the same exceptionally long boring mission, thus screwing up my points... :(

This was a tough battle and missions 3 and 4 were particularly nasty furballs!
