It's a simple, straightforward mission; show up somewhere, kill stuff, go somewhere else, kill that stuff, mission done. The comm messages give it a goofy vibe, which is a bit of a departure from the seriousness usually found in the original missions. Definitely appreciate the extra work involved in providing voice files for the messages.

A heavy starfighter dogfight, with some management of forces trying to kill your mothership. Would benefit from voice files, as it's hard to follow the text comm messages with the mission so hectic.

Interesting concept in choosing which side to take in the battle. Once the side is chosen, however, the mission is fairly straightforward.

It's a solid mission with clear objectives; no complaints, but neither is there anything that really makes it stand out from any other TIE Fighter mission.

A fun and interesting way to use an XvT mission in a novel way.

It's a mostly straightforward mission that doesn't really push any new ground in terms of design, but everything seems to work as expected, so it's enjoyable enough.

A straightforward mission; there's some stuff to protect and enemies that try to shoot you and them down - stop them before they do those things. There's nothing particularly novel in the mission, but that's not necessary to have a good time.

The mission is perfectly serviceable, especially since it would be unfair to judge it by normal standards, since it was built for a specific purpose.

Interesting mission requiring you to prioritize the mission objectives over your own survival, meaning you spend much of the mission dodging fire while trying to keep targets safe.

Straightforward mission, go in, kill everything before it kills your capital ship. There's a bit of load managing with the fighters attacking you but you also needing to deal with the bombers going for your capital ship. No major complaints, but it also didn't really push any new ground.

I prefer the missions in a battle to be more connected through a storyline, rather than along a theme, but that's a matter of personal taste. The missions themselves have a good variety and none of them feel like each other. The "race" mission is a strong proof-of-concept, and I'll be excited to see where that design style goes. I really enjoy the decision choice in the final mission (even though who turns down a chance for more points?), and, as always, the audio files are a great touch.

It's interesting to see the other side of a classic campaign from the popular EU X-Wing novels, but the missions could use a bit of polish; for example, why does no one actually capture the Pulsar Skate in the first mission? Rogue Null is invincible; why not just make it destructible and doing so fails the mission (e.g., "you were ordered not to do that!")? In later missions, shuttles continue to be invincible for no obvious reason, especially the case in the final mission. The reinforcements in the last battle, while it does make for a huge and climactic final mission, reduces the mission's complexity to being an absolute push-over. I'm sure the experts can do it without the reinforcements but would have been nice to find a middle-ground, where the reinforcements help, but don't absolutely overwhelm.

While the voice files are a nice touch, and I'd much rather have them than not, would definitely prefer human voices to AI-generated lines.

Obviously it's intentionally absurd, but the lack of polish doesn't serve the theme. The missions are far too easy and simplistic; while I would agree with the point that overly hard missions would feel out of place with the rest of the battle style, there should at least be something interesting about them.

A good start, but the mission could use a bit of polish. It's a tad too easy (I played on Medium), could do with a couple more flight groups to keep things intense. Also, the shuttles launching after the platform is captured means that the platform does the job of destroying them for the player. Maybe have them launch just before capture, and launch a group of fighters to protect them?

A solidly constructed battle, very reminiscent of the original campaign's style. The early missions are a bit too easy, but it is nice that the difficulty builds over the course of the battle.

A solid mission, though it drags a bit at the end. Perhaps some additional fighters to protect the shuttle, or have it try to escape during the launch of the fighters that attack the ATR? Felt very easy, though playing on Hard difficulty.

Great mission, if a bit easy. The audio files really bring a lot to the mission and, while not crucial, really improve the overall experience. The mission drags a bit at the end; perhaps have the shuttle try to escape while the final round of fighters are attacking the ATR? Or maybe have a final batch of fighters attack the player while the shuttle tries to escape?

Excellent mission, with lots to do; really feels like a hectic space battle worthy of the Star Wars moniker. It does slow down quite a bit once the last wave of fighters from the enemy capital ships are killed; might be worth giving the factory some additional last resort defenses?

Edit: It's worth calling out that the voice files are a nice touch! While they aren't crucial to the enjoyment of the mission, they do so much to bring the player into the mission!

Fantastic mission; feels like an original TIE Fighter mission in all the best ways! There's a great balancing act between which targets you have to go after, and that probably changes as the mission goes on, so it isn't simply, "destroy 100% of this flight group and then move on to destroy 100% of that flight group".

Love the inclusion of voice files; while they aren't crucial to have for this mission, they really do a lot to bring the player into the world of the mission.

Overall, an enjoyable set of missions strung together with a coherent plot that is developed through them, very much in the spirit of TIE Fighter.

Mission 1: I feel like the hyper buoy should be at the same point where my squadron is jumping into to hyperspace at.

Mission 2: I think the rebel shuttle needs to be invincible; the story still works if they don't escape.

Mission 3: Even on Easy, the Immortal just gets completely wrecked by the multiple capital ships. I had to resort to using Unlimited Ammo, so I could take them down myself quickly enough before the Immortal would die.

Mission 4: I realize the corvettes need to not be disable-able for story purposes, but it's always a bummer to find that out after spending some effort trying. Maybe just make them start leaving right away and have their hyper point close to the station? Close enough that a reasonable attempt to disable them before leaving wouldn't be in time.

Mission 5: The conceit that I can't see the rebel ships on my sensors as soon as I jump in is a little weak; is it not possible to have them appear from the station after I scan it?

The mission setup and briefing could benefit be more developed. The mission itself is straightforward, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn't do much to make it stand out as a one-off; this feels more appropriate for being part of a battle.

An interesting mission; loved the concept of the dampening field. Unclear why only one of the capital ships gives bonus points for destroying. Love the voice files; they do so much to bring the player into the mission; that said, would really love to see (hear?) some filters going on the in-mission voice files, so it sounds like the ones coming over the radio are actually doing so, instead of the person being right in the cockpit with me.
