AN AMAZING CAMPAIGN!!! I loved it a lot, and that is saying something. The sheer scale of some of the battles throughout the series of the Anti-Rogue Squadron battles was amazing. I wish all our XWA battles were as good as this one.
incredibly easy, you dont even need to do the maze
just target the objective, and fly to it outside the maze. Your detection radius is enough to beat the mission. Fastest one ive ever played, easy 1 FCHG point
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! You play as a VSD of all ships, took me 15 mins just to reach the battlefield, did not have the patience to complete, would probably take over 40 mins. THIS IS ABSOLUTE DOG $H!T
An amazing, modern XWA vanilla mission. Played on easy and it was VERY fun. Lots of hidden Easter eggs and references to older EH members. I really enjoyed playing it and will play again to get a high score 😉
Very good mission all-around. For the first ever DB mission, it was well written. It has a bit of challenge on some missions, but overall is quite easy.
Firstly, you get a full squadron of Missile Boats and TIE Defenders vs UNSHIELDED T/F's and shielded T/B. Absolute slaughter. Then, you just take out a CRL. Bruh.
If you play with cheats you can do it in a few minutes. Another one of the Kill! Kill! Kill! missions that are NOT fun to play.
Overall, an amazing set of training missions. The improved visuals and more make it beautiful and immersive. However, I would include info on how to use flares/chaff that are later present.
The last mission is basically a scripted flying cutscene that you get to participate in. You leave the academy, arrive at a staging point, Rebel raiders jump in, you evade warheads, use your 2 missiles on the enemy, get to the hyper point, and leave to platform D-34, the original start of Battle 1. Its a nice way to tie the training and campaign together, however, you don't get to use lasers.
meh. i played it for Imperial Storm VII (with cheats) but it wasn't anything special. Hit the cruiser, help your allies, take the container, and hyperspace out. possible to do very quickly, especially with cheats. could be better on the plot and briefing though
Overall it’s pretty mid. The missions are quick and easy (if you just want the MSE or RtF points) and the AI helps. The story is mid, you just have to catch and kill a defector.
You fly a mid ship. The Toscan Fighter is slow and blundering, but because you have beams you just redirect them.
Overall it is a very easy mission. You need to take heavy rockets instead of advanced missiles. On easy difficulty, your friendlies will SHRED any enemy starfighters, you only need to worry about a few of them that attack the ISD. After the starfighters are gone you need to go back and forth with the ISD, reloading warheads and wiping out the capital ships.
It's a pretty solid battle with lots of fun missions; you get to fly a YT-2000. However, there is also some bad stuff. One mission is a ridiculous one with a massive wait time. You need to have an ESC capture a CRL, but it takes so long for it to clear the 13 km gap. I beat the mission, went to eat dinner, came back and finally it was complete. Also the mission where you destroy the entire base is not good either. The plotline talks about using the fleet to wipe out the base, but in reality you need to fly 10x back and forth to get enough rockets to blast the platforms into oblivion. It's pretty lazy bc if the fleet actually tried, the mission would take 1/2 the time to complete.
Absolute dogs**t. Some missions take absolutely absurd amounts of time of just WAITING. I've had 30 min waits at least. I don't mind long missions if you do something in those minutes of waiting time. BUT YOU DO NOT. And some missions are horribly bugged out too, in one, where you disable a CORT, your GUN allies who are supposed to help you fire rockets at the CORT and destroy it.
Felt like chucking my monitor off of a 5 story building, but I live in a single-story house. The roof might get the job done..
Very good mission by Conker. Fun storyline with some injection of humor into a great storyline. I liked the PES flying missions, but it is too slow for my liking and needs a bit more speed. Also, the mission against 3 capital ships is annoying in a no-sheilds, no warheads T/I but on easy it basically autocompletes.
This battle contains MASSIVE space battles, and the missions are all really easy, and for the most part will auto-complete on their own with little to no participation on your end. If you enjoy massive battles with massive hordes of allies then this one is for you.
The final mission is really chaotic but also really easy. You need to destroy 5 platforms and a total of almost 360 fighter craft, mostly small ones. You may think that you need to actually kill them, but you don't. After taking out the initial assault of enemies, direct your wingmen to attack a platform. In reality, this redirects YOUR ENTIRE WING. The platforms get shredded in like 2 mins. You don't even need to attack the platforms themselves as you wont be able to do much with the lack of warheads that you get. While your wingmen attack the platforms, you should deal with the enemy fighters that chase your allies. And since destroying a platform also kills the craft "inside it", you get to easily obtain both goals.
Overall good battle with a good storyline but the missions are really, really easy and will complete themselves.
Overall well built the backgrounds and the scale of the Avenger is really cool. However, there are a few issues that I'd like to address. Firstly, your wingmen will get shredded within 4 minutes of your arrival to the final area. And you are unable to help as you need to do the goals. Next, the wait in the second area wastes about 2 minutes for no reason. Lastly, the "cleaning force" send by the Avenger comes too late to help your wingmen.
But other than that it is fun, the stress towards the end of the mission is fun too.
Also who on earth made the XWA T/A slower than the TF T/A? The one in T/F is 145 mglt top speed, while the XWA is 133 mglt.
