The Tactical Office is pleased to announce the release of the first ever custom content for the TIE Fighter Total Conversion for XWA (TFTC).

Commander Jagged Fell III has been working exceptionally hard on making TFTC battles and discovering the amazing possibilities of the platform.

TFTC-TC 1: Anti-Rogue Squadron: Battle for Coruscant is a conversion of his first two Anti-Rogue XWA battles.

We highly recommend installing the Wav Pack. Jagged has put a lot of effort into audio files, skins, medals and planet backdrops.

Note: TFTC custom content is a new platform and not supported by the EHBL. Please read the installation instructions carefully, particularly about the backups that need to be made. We are working on improving the process.

Welcome to this years TIE Corps Exercise: Squadron (Re)Mobilization!
Commencing at 00:01 UTC on May 1st!

As per todays TCCOM report -
Starting from its first run in 2019, (Re)Mob was designed to get each squadron together to complete tasks as a team in a way that was similar in scale to Raise the Flag but not as much of a firehose of activity...

Squadron (Re)Mobilization is a competition that pits our squadrons, largely against themselves and rewards squadrons for working together as a team. Over the course of the next month each squadron will try and complete as many of the tasks on the list as possible, each task having been broken into four equal chunks to assist them in completing the tasks they wish to complete.

The tasks cover many of the different activities that the TIE Corps has to offer, from completing Single Player battles from our Battle Compendium, to flying both against and with each other in PvP or PvE combat. We also have tasks around fiction writing, completing Imperial University Courses and wiki editing alongside creating the outline of a battle which was a big hit last year!

In the near future, the Internet Office will be implementing a change on the site that will change how multiplayer (MP) match wins increase the pilot’s combat rating (CR) and Flight Certification Wing (FCW) point totals.

To get two obvious concerns out of the way, we’re not changing the number of points needed to achieve CR ranks or FCW echelons and steps are being taken to ensure that no pilot gains or loses progress in their CR or FCW when the new system takes effect.
The change being made is to how many points a win will contribute to your total when you win a match. Right now, all MP wins are worth one point each. Similar to what we’ve been doing in competitions like Raise the Flag, Ace of the TIE Corps, and Imperial Storm, we’re going to give each game a different weight based on the type of combat (PvP or PvE), the average match duration, the anticipated win/loss rate over time, and even some incidentals like average queue times. In addition, for the first time we’ll be awarding bonuses for playing with or against other members of the Emperor’s Hammer and we’ll have the ability to award a bonus for winning a match while an event is active. The bonuses will be in the form of percentages that we can modify as needed as opposed to being set in stone at the beginning.

For example, a pilot that wins an EABF2 PvE match in the new system will earn 3.5 points. With two other EH players in the match they’d earn a 35% grouping bonus, bringing them to 4.725 points. With an event offering a 20% bonus for EABF2 matches, that’d bring the total to 5.67 points. We’ll be rounding up to the nearest tenth to keep the numbers trim, so 5.7 points. Because we’re not changing the CR or FCW thresholds, we’ll need to do some normalization and divide that by a conversion factor based on the average of all match base values, currently 3.6, so the pilot will earn 1.6 points towards their CR and FCW. That’s a 60% increase over the current system that would’ve only awarded the pilot 1 point.

The main reason for this change is that we’ve been recognizing that not all MP matches are equal. Some take longer, are more difficult to win, or even take more time to get into. To make sure that tougher matches are as attractive as more spammable matches, we’ll rebalance the number of points being awarded. The grouping bonus and event bonus are new benefits meant to bring pilots together and encourage group play.

I am proud to have Lieutenant Julren as a member of Typhoon and Battlegroup III, and wholeheartedly recommend an immediate promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Commander at this time.

As FA Silwar Naiilo transitions out of the Combat Operations Officer role to focus on the Secret Order, I wanted to take a moment to recognize him for his outstanding service to the TIE Corps over the past four years. From taking command of Tempest Squadron to leading the ISDII Challenge to serving as a member of the TIE Corps Command Staff, Silwar's been a big part of our operations for a long time now and has made many contributions that will continue to echo over time because they've become integral to our processes. Gonk allows TC leaders to quickly gather information about pilot activity. The COO Manual (COOMAN) being in the Wiki allows for much quicker reference and timelier updates than we could muster before. Fleshing out the game approval process answers most questions the TCCS would have before a proposal even gets to us. Along the way there've been numerous other improvements made that others might build on, but the products of Silwar's inventiveness will be their foundation. Thank you, Silwar, for your time, your effort, and your exemplary dedication to the Corps.

Captain Xye is a veteran of the TIE Corps, dating back more than a decade. In recent years, Xye served in Lambda Squadron under the command of Commander Genie. During his time in Lambda Squadron, Xye worked his way up from Lieutenant to Captain, taking on responsibility as a flight leader and then Squadron Executive Officer. Captain Xye then took his career to the next level by commanding Beta Squadron, where Xye displayed exceptional dedication to the Corps, both performing his significant duties as Squadron Commander and leading the charge in combat, earning scores of combat victories and merit awards. Now that Captain Xye has found his way back home in Lambda Squadron, I am honored to be able to recommend him for promotion. Xye, thank you for your dedication to the TIE Corps!

As noted in his final report, AD Silwar Naiilo is stepping down from the Combat Operations Officer (COO) position and is intending to return to a squadron assignment after a well-deserved break. Silwar served with distinction in the COO role, making a number of process improvements with long-term effects on our ability to review multiplayer screenshots and communicate multiplayer game standards to pilots. For his exemplary service to the TIE Corps, he'll be awarded the Imperial Cross (IC). He's also been promoted to the rank of Fleet Admiral (FA) that he'll get to see on this record and actually enjoy whenever he takes on another admiralty assignment in the future. Thank you, Silwar!

Succeeding FA Naiilo will be a newcomer to the admiralty, Rear Admiral Colo Delste. Previously an assistant in the Combat Operations Office and Commander of Tempest Squadron, Colo is our pick to lead the COO team to new heights by maintaining their current excellent performance and crafting new ways to bring pilots together.
