1) This is my last report for 2001 and I feel this year for the Hammer's Fist ends on a good note. We are two shy of hitting 100 active members again, and we have had a number of recruits pass their basic training this week. The Orion recruit platoon where all new membres are placed seems to be doing its job of getting people through the initial course and acclimating them to HF life.

2) I am most pleased with Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. I got this game over Christmas and feel it is a good platform for our subgroup. After I have played through the first few campaigns, I will begin custom missions with its included scenario editor.

3) Related to the above, the Hammer's Fist will have a library of custom scenarios similar to that of the TIE Corps. We will have "free missions" as well as cohesive "battles" as the Battlegrounds editor does allow for this. Our versions will be called "scenarios" and "Campaigns" since the Age of Empires community already uses these terms.

4) Some bad news: my EH projects involving graphics are on hold. My monitor burned out so I am now using an old 14" VGA model while I shop for a replacement. I am looking forward to a larger 19" display. When I find a replacement, I can finish and release the images for the HF gear (T-shirts, mouse pads, and mugs).

5) To end on some good news, BG Lander is the new Assitant Commander, Operations. With his appointment, the Platoon League may be brought back. The Platoon League was a general competition ladder tracking best trooper, squad, and platoon which would reset every few months.

That's right folks, the time is upon us once more! The EH Anniversary is around the corner, and as usual, it will be marked with Commendations of Loyalty being awarded to the...uh, most loyal people in the EH. All the details on how the recommendations will be handled are in the latest OPS report. Or, if you're too lazy to move your pointer across the screen, click here. Remember, the CoL can be awarded more than once to the same person.

Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt

Wow...no news for the past week. Anyway, a quick message to everyone in the TIE Corps: Have a very merry Christmas and a great New Year. Have a fun time and stay safe!

I forgot to post this sooner, but I will be on semi-leave until the 5th January 2002. I will be online from time to time, but will not be marking tests between now and then.

Membership: 89 active, 143 total

1) HF Gear is almost ready to go. Just one thing to decide on, image-wise. I'm so loaded down, I'll get to it when I do.

2) The Commander, Development is working a little more on our Training Manual.

3) A "stock market" is around the corner for the HF. Troopers can buy stock in a platoon with their pay (currently members cn buy gear at the fictional HF store). The stock appreciates or falls depending on platoon activity. It is a way to get people to take more pride in their unit and raise activity.

4) We are nearing 100 active members again. This is pretty good considering we were cut deep by our last AWOL check.

Membership: 85 active, 139 total

1) I have graduated from Portland State University. Not that this ends classes (I'm still going to Portland Community College) but it's one major hurdle past.

2) HF gear: when's it gonna be here? Soon. All designs for mugs, T-shirts, etc are final. I'm re-rendering a T-shirt image to make it easier to read though.

3) We have a new Commander, Training. LTC Phennir has taken Wolver's spot as CT. Congrats Phennir!

4) I am going to try to get SW:Battelgrounds this Christmas and make custom maps for us. The game is ordered. My hope is to start a library like that of the TC with "free missions" and "battles." I encourage any HFer who can afford the game to get it so we can have a solid base for activity.

5) The CS will be on vacation from the 20th to the 28th. When he returns, he'll continue work on an operation. No details.

I'm pleased to promote two of the TIE Corp's finest today. Both of these Officers have worked tirelessly these past couple of months, without reward to better their ships, and Battlegroup.

Congratulations to Rear Admirals Lohr Zadash (RelCOM) and Toran Dan (ImmCOM) who are today promoted to Vice Admiral!

Around 1AM on Saturday morning Australian time, the entire imperialacademy.org domain stopped serving ASP pages. Plain HTML and graphics still worked fine. I don't know what caused it and I've asked the hosting company to check logs and things for me so we might find out what went wrong. However, the site is back up and all functionality should be returned. If you have any problems, let me know at jpboyce@indigo.net.au

The War Officer is looking for volunteers, to test new WarGame rules. If interested, you must have some knowledge of wargaming, and being able to make TIE missions is a big plus. Contact VA Pel if you are able to participate. Remember, those that help out will be rewarded for their work.

Applications are now being accepted for Wing XX Wing Commander. The qualifications/requirements are as follows:

• Must have been a CMDR for no less than six months and hold the rank of Major or above
• Must be on IRC for a minimum of 3-4 hours a week and be prepared to attend TC meetings on a regular basis.
• Must be able to send in weekly Wing reports in a timely manner and without fail.
• Answer all emails within 36 hours.
• Importantly, you must be able to provide activities to keep pilots active and happy.

These are all in addition to the WC responsibilites listed in the Training Manual. All applications should be sent to Rear Admiral Grail SoulChaser and Vice Admiral Tiger before the end of the weekend, and put "Roger Redhat rocks" in the subject of the email.

Ever wanted to have the Emperor's Hammer logo displayed at the beginning of custom XWA missions ? Check the new official update available in the Tactical Manual. Note: you may not have the Emperor's Hammer crest displayed in old XWA battles, they still need to be updated to allow the use of custom crests.

1) Our membership is on the rise again. The AWOL check hurt a little bit, but we've risen up another 5 recruits.

2) The HF T-shirts are finalized. I've gotten only a little feedback on them, so I'm taking that as a "good job". On the front is a small EH logo (the same one on the EH T-shirts), and on the back is the HF logo. On the shoulders of long-sleeves shirts is our motto "First in. Last out." There will also be coffee mugs and mousepads with a 2D version of our logo.

3) Astix's competition is still going, and a new run-on has started on the messageboard.

4) This month's awards ceremony was quite full.
