Many congratulations go out to one of the TIE Corps longest serving Squadron Commanders, Lieutenant Colonel Mike, who has been appointed as Wing I's new Wing Commander!

• Gold Star - SO/FA Brad, for creating a major culture shift with the HI in the direction and attitude of the EH justice system
• Promotion to Fleet Admiral - SCO/AD Ender mBind, for the new Fleet Manual, updates to the Order of Battle and new patches/updates from his office
• Gold Star - PRF Ares, for consistant service and maintaining quality in a subgroup that's struggled a lot in the last few years
• Promotion to Fleet Admiral - GM/AD Firefox, for providing stable leadership without going nuts (seems to be a common thing for GMs...)
• Promotion to Admiral - SDIR/VA Troutrooper, consistant service as Intel's SGCOM and providing timely, detailed information and intelligence when requested

Thanks to my CA, AD Darkhill, I've been able to release two new patches for X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: the TIE Vanguard and the B-Wing. Both come with additional Flight group colours for the EH, ASF and respectively the DB for the TIE Vanguard and the IW for the B-Wing. The T/D and MIS patches have also been updated lately and now work together with eachother and the B-W and T/V. Give them all a run once :)

The database has been updated to correctly reflect the new LoC system. In addition, the code now also correct calculates the number of addons you have, as opposed to just listing the highest one and your total of victories after it. A similar update has been applied to the display of DFCs too.

The Add Platforms list is now working... Available upder the Edit Profile function of the database...

Since I never purge the HF Database(Or rarely do...) I've got some interesting size stats this year :)

1) The Commander, Security has gone into forced retirement due to lack of an Internet connection. The post will be filled shortly. Also on the subject of posts, the new Company Commander for Vengeance is MSG Luke Morin. Congrats Luke!

2) There is a new policy in place concerning our CSMA as follows: if a course exam of a series is sent in before a previous course exam of the same certificate series is graded and returned to the trooper, then both exams will be destroyed and the trooper will have to resubmit them -- one at a time. This is to make sure a trooper has passed a previous and required course before taking and submitting higher courses. This policy change has been posted in multiple places.

3) Certifications can now be seen! In each member's profile is listed all certifications earned. Clicking on one will display an image of the certification. Nice job Zsinj and Mordred!

4) Although there is no official operation going on in the HF, there is no lack of activities. No fewer than three run-ons are in progress, the Platoon League is going strong, and the Dark Legionnaire newsletter is nearing publication.

5) The present HF growth rate is averaging 4 new troopers per week. The number moving through the CSMA to become full members is much lower. However, this will hopefully change when the CSMA and HF domain are fully integrated and completed.

I posted this before, and nobody paid any attention to it, so I'm going to say this again.

IF YOU SEND ME A COURSE IN A CERTAIN SERIES BEFORE THE PREVIOUS ONE IS MARKED, I'LL DELETE *BOTH* OF THEM!

For example, if you send the SN1, then send the SN2 before I've marked your SN1, I will delete both your SN1 and SN2 and make you re-send them one at a time. This will continue until people start getting it through their heads to send courses one at a time.

Just recently, I found out that an error in the competitions system resulted in competitions being submitted, but these submissions not appearing in the admin or competition center sections of the site. This error has been fixed and as of this posting, all competitions have been processed.

The newest version of the Fleet Order of Battle, with all the Capital Ships and Units of the Fleet as recognized by the Fleet Commander, has been released and uploaded to the SCO site at http://www.minos.net/~sco/fleet-manual/app-orderofbattle.html.

1) We have a new Commander, Operations; LTC Hemi. His new assistant is CPT Delak Krennel. One of his first priorities is to get current SG-wide operation back underway. It has been idling while the office has lain vacant. Congratulations to both of them. Along with these new officers will come a new operations website.

2) My Commander, Security has seen a rise in in-channel profanity and general verbal abuse. This is also coming from the mouths of officers/staff. The security officer is taking a harder line on this and I am in support of her. The Hammer's Fist is one of the best-behaved subgroups and I want to keep it that way.

3) Our online Jedi Knight 2 gaming group is solidifying into the Prefect's Royal Guard. It grew out of a number of different incarnations; Shadow Knights, Dragoons, Prefect's Royal Guard. Rather than being under the Commander, Operations or XO's office, the PRG is run by the Commander, Security. The PRG has a simple rank structure to show player's skill levels and sonsistency.

4) The next Dark Legionnaire issue is underway. This is Big News in the HF and it is scheduled to hit the web before Christmas!

January 7th is the EH Anniversary (8 years, hooya!) so that means, Awards! The Commendation of Loyalty is awarded all members of the Emperor's Hammer by the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer who have displayed tremendous dedication to the Fleet.

Each squadron commander can send any number of recommendations for awards to their respective Wing Commander. The Wing Commander chooses three (3) awards. Then these recommendations are forwarded up the chain of command to the respective Commodores and Battlegroup Commanders, making any possible corrections. Then the Battlegroup Commander collects the recommendations for his Battlegroup, and emails them to the Operations Officer, CC'ing the Flight Officer. Also, each Battlegroup Commander has the discretion to award a maximum of three (3) awards to his Flag Officers.

For Elite Squadrons (Avenger, Praetorian, Tau, and Omega), the commander can recommend up to one (1) award to their Battlegroup Commander (Omega - SovCOM, Avenger - ASF BGCOM), in the case of Praetorian and Tau Squadron, the CMDR will directly email the Operations Officer, also CC'ing the Flight Officer.

The mailer should be working now. In addition, the backlog of PROF-less course tests have been marked.

I would like ideas for any operations you guys would like to see in the future. Also start makeing missions for the HF platforms and send them.

The ISD Immortal's COM Escort award for the month of December goes to Phantom Squadron. By pulling together and working as a team on the recent Immortal Tactical Scenario, they have earned this award. Congratulations!

To put it in the simplest terms... DO NOT SEND ME A COURSE UNTIL THE PREVIOUS STAGE HAS BEEN MARKED! IF YOU DO, I'LL DELETE ALL OF THE SUBMISSIONS OF YOURS THAT I HAVEN'T MARKED FROM THAT COURSE!

There are two situations in which this doesn't apply: (a) they're two *different* courses (like Demolitions and Sniper, rather than two levels of Sniper), or (b) you're taking the first level of a course.

No, this doesn't apply to anyone who's *already* done this to me (:P), but as of the posting of this news, it's open season on anyone who does.

You have been warned. :P

-Well, I seem to be recovering from my surgery last week, and I didn't do much of anything this week, either. :P I'll be getting caught up on marking courses this weekend.

-Something I've seen a lot of that's bothering me lately is people sending more than one level of a course at a time. More and more, I've gotten submissions of multiple levels of a course (say, Sniper 1 and Sniper 2 together). This is stopping. From now on, if I receive submission of a course before I've marked the previous one, I'll be deleting both entries, and you'll have to re-send them. Now, this doesn't apply to two different courses - you can send Demo 1 and Sniper 2 and I'll be more than happy to mark them both. But, sending Sniper 2 and Sniper 3 before I mark Sniper 2 will lead to both getting deleted. To be safe, don't send the next level until you've gotten the graduation notice and/or seen the other one listed on your profile on the web site.

-New courses are in development. That's all I feel like writing about it right now. :P

It seems the database mailer is down again. This means that NO confirmation emails are being sent out for BSFs, Medal Awards, Promotions etc. If you're awaiting an update, then please check the rosters before you bug the TAC, OPS or me. The problem should hopefully be resolved in the next couple of days.

Congratulations to the former CA:TAC, Admiral Marcin Szydlowski, who was today confirmed as the new EH Tactical Officer.

With the upcoming retirement of Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Shadd as the Commander of the Elite Praetorian Squadron, applications are now being accepted for a replacement. Potential applicants must be able to meet the following requirements:

- At least ONE year of TIE Corps service
- At least SIX months experience as a CMDR (in any squadron)
- Proven exceptional singleplayer pilot ability as shown in either high scores or competitions wins. Also familiarity with multiplayer activities
- Basic knowledge of the Intelligence Division
- Familiarity with all EH protocols and the Fleet Standing Orders
- Applicants must also have taken and passed the SM/3 Course

Strongly Recommended:

- Experience in an Elite Squadron
- Command experience (WC and above or long-time CMDR)
- Working knowledge of the Intelligence Division

You may include up to TWO references, one of which must be from a superior Officer (please contact these people beforehand). Applications should be sent ASAP to Vice Admiral Trouttrooper and Fleet Admiral Priyum.
