1. We have a "payroll" in the HF so members can buy equipment for their personas. This isn't news, but recently our payscale has been revised to provide better balance. So far it seems to have been accepted without much fuss, at least nothing negative has reached my ears.

2. We are always looking for new activities and making/finding modifications for games is an ongoing endeavour. When I retire I will be pouring much effort into boosting Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds as a presence within the subgroup, but at the moment, my XO (and others) have been hinting at how a roleplaying game called Never Winter Nights could be modified to supply a more in-character experience for HFers. More on that later if it develops enough.

This report is too short at the moment, but the medication I'm on (ear infection still very stubborn so the pills have been stepped up) is making me cross-eyed. I will file another report tomorrow with some game mod news.

Following Kalar's promotion to RelCOM, I'm once again in search of a Flight Office Assistant. The duties of the FOA will include:

• Moderating the TIE Corps Message board and Training Board
• Keeping track of weekly reports and TIE Corps homepages
• And anything else I can think of

Potential applicants should be able to meet the following requirements:

• Membership in the TIE Corps for no less than three months
• The rank of Lieutenant Commander or above
• A good working knowledge of all TIE Corps protocols, the Articles of War and Codes of Conduct
• A regular presence on the message boards and prompt email turnover

Command experience is not a requirement, and I'm especially keen on appointing someone with no other commitments to leech away FOAing time (other than their regular TC position). Applications should be sent to Spellfire@btinternet.com with the subject "Make me FOA!" by next Friday at the latest. If you wish, you may include the name of one superior to act as a referee. The new FOA will then be decided by the TC meeting on Sunday.

As was announced at last night's TIE Corps meeting (why weren't you there?), there are two new Flag Officers in the TIE Corps:

Congratulations to Major Thom Zack who has taken over as the new Wing Commander for Wing XIX on the SSD Avenger. He comes highly recommended and should continue to be a fine Officer.

Also congratulations to Rear Admiral Jahan Kalar, who has been appointed as Commodore of the ISD Relentless. Around a dozen applications were received, with several highly qualified candidates. Kalar stood out with his previous extensive experience as both Wing Commander and Flight Office Assistant. Myself and VA Krax are confident that he will prove to be the right choice.

I will now need a new FOA, but DO NOT send me any emails about this yet. I'll post some requirements shortly.

1. I have not been terribly focused on HF projects this week due to this
   being the last week of the school term and having an ever-so-fun ear
   infection. I am now also the new digital music archivist for the university
   orchestra.

2. The Commander, Training is back on job. He is catching up on events and
   should be back to full swing in a few days. The SSBTC (our entry-level and
   most basic course) revision will then go forward.

3. We are expecting more courses to be offered through the CSMA. Soon to come are Jungle Warfare, Command and Staff (something I never thought of having but is an excellent idea that should have been done long ago), Expeditionary Warfare, and others. As always, all CSMA courses 'teach' fictional skills and do not tread at all on IWATS territory.

I'm starting to get bored with the current layout for the Profile page, first one to send me a good design that I like and is well done, will recieve a medal of some kind(depends on complexity and how good it is), subs due next Sunday.

1. The PRG (Prefect's Royal Guard) online fighting unit has been resusitated with the return of LTC Cypher. The PRG manual is also being finished up by Cypher. Practice sessions will be held at least once or twice a week.

2. The 18th issue of the Dark Legionnaire has been released. Due to low submissions numbers and other factors, the subgroup rag will be put on a bi-monthly schedule. This should allow issues to be more than paper thin. Members are required to send any Dark Legionnaire submissions to the club's main publication, "The Dark Sentinel" as well. 3. Automated uniform images work for the most part on the online HF roster. This has been a long-running issue I am embarrassed to say I have done little to help with. Kudos to MG Zsinj for his work.

4. Speaking of websites, the Commander, Operations site is now online at www25.brinkster.com/delak/CO/index.htm . This will be the hub for all official HF operations and subgroup-wide competitions.

5. I will be retiring from SGCOM status in one month. I simply no longer have the energy required for the post as can be seen by the long gap between this report and my previous one. Some projects I am doing will get finished, but many will not before I step down. I will remain an active member of the Hammer's Fist, however, and feel I will be able to contribute in a more concrete way in another posting. The remaining projects will get done, either by someone the next Prefect points to, or by myself since I will no longer have the duties of SGCOM. In my last few weeks, I will try to get as much done as possible.

The position of Relentless COM is now open to applications. All interested parties must be able to meet the following requirements:

- A successful tour as Squadron Commander & Wing Commander (in the TIE Corps) for no less than FOUR consecutive months for each position
- Intimate familiarity with all TC protocols and procedures
- No major HCI convictions within the last two years
- Familiarity with the single and multiplayer aspects of XWA.
- Commitment to carry out the Commodore duties as detailed in the Training Manual
- You must also be able to look at long term plans for the Ship and the welfare of not only your Ship but also the Battlegroup and TIE Corps.

Applicants must have a quick email response time as well as being able to work with all levels of command, from regular Flight Members to the the Ship WC. Specific skills such as webpage design etc, are desirable. Applications should be sent to High Admiral Priyum and Vice Admiral Krax. Just recently, I contacted the High Inquisitor, Tribune and Warden to conduct a number of trials for certain members who I have found to violate EH regulations. You must report to me the moment you find out an expelled member has rejoined the EH without permission from the FC, XO, or HI. Refusal to do so can result in a trial for Disobeying and order or regulation and aiding the enemy. Check the HCI page for news, or contact me.

After due consideration of the multitude of tasks required to be completed by the Office, the position of Training Office Assistant is now open. The successful applicant will be duly considered for elevation to the position of Command Attaché in the future. The requirements are:

Two battles have now been fought in Operation: Outrageous Fortune (The Sovereign Wargme). Both battles have seen Blue Team (Wings I/IV/V) lose heavily, but not without cost. Red Team (Wings II/III/Omea Squadron) have lost about 6 squadrons of their Gunboats, compared to Blue's losses of 2 Task Fleets. Both teams would be in far worse shape were it not for the efforts of their Single Player TIE and XvT pilots. Future battles will be announced here, so if you can participate, help your team out.

The position of Wing Commander of Wing XIII (XvT MP) is now open to applications. Applicants should consider the following criteria when applying:

  a.. Proven experience as Squadron Commander or higher in the TIE Corps for no less than 4 consecutive months.

  c.. Familiarity with X-Wing vs TIE Fighter in terms of Multiplayer and Single Player.
  d.. Able to handle any E-Mail requests promptly and write regular reports.
  e.. Able to work with Flag Officers, as well as members of the Wing.
  f.. Additionally, applicants must also fulfill the position requirements as listed in the Training Manual.
