Joy! My first ever news post!

It is with heavy heart that I announce the closure of the ISD Subjugator, in the ATF. This was not a decision that I came to lightly, nor did ATF BGCOM TK-2107. The Subjugators two squadrons were moved to the SSD Avenger.

Kraken Squadron pilots will therefore completely transfer to Rage Squadron http://www.ehtiecorps.org/rosters/view.asp?squadron=55) aboard Wing XVIII while Nemesis will be transferred to Chaos Squadron (http://www.ehtiecorps.org/rosters/view.asp?squadron=105). I would like all pilots to stand together as once and support their CMDRs as well as their new Commanding Officers (Wing Commander, Commodore and BG COM). Once more ? the decision wasn?t easy and in my opinion something that will make the ATF stronger in the future!

For the SSD Avenger Command position current Wing XIX Wing Commander Kane Reese has become the new Commodore of the SSD Avenger.

First of all I'd like to reiterate I can't sort out your Minos hosting issues as I do not have admin access to this.

Another issue with minos at the moment is that the domain names squadron.org and stardestroyer.org have expired. This means that any people with minos subdomain redirects to these domains will return an error. Please log on to your Minos accounts and remove these domains and update your links accordingly. tiecorps.net and minos.net domains remain active.

All testers involved (alpha and beta) are welcomed to send me their pilot files if they want the fchg points.

The 24/7 LoC Submission form is currently clear of all entries and all LoCs have been awarded. If you have submitted a match and have not received your LoCs, please do so again. The submission form is very picky when people fill it out. I have just discovered that any spaces placed in the form will keep it from entering correctly (meaning the COO website just throws it away and I never see it). You must fill in your name (do not put any spaces in the name block: so if your name is khameir sarin, put sarin or khameirsarin or whatever...just no spaces), you must fill in the score (the number of times you killed your opponent), and you must put in your pin number. If you fail to do any of these things, your match will not be recorded.

If at any time you submit LoCs and do not receive them within 7 days, immediately contact me. I never take longer than 7 days to award them and most times they are out after 72 hours. Thanks!

It is with sad heart that I announce that VA Ky Terrak has resigned as the COM of the SSD Avenger, citing RL issues.

With VA Stuart the squirrel being named the new TO, RA Ekim has been named the new COM of the ISD Vanguard!

Also in the TCBG, RA Locke has be named the new COM of the ISD Challenge!

The ISD Grey Wolf retains the title of Flagship of the Aggressor Strike Force, Avenger Squadron becomes Escort Squadron once more and RA Pickled Yoda finishes as Top Pilots.

For Imperial Alliance (our game in development) we are in need of 12 voice actors (or at least 12 different voices in case you can do more then 1) for the standard messages you hear in flight, like when you order your wingmen, when your wingmen get killed or for docking procedures.

Do not worry if you have a (foreign) accent; it adds character and atmosphere and you'll be subtitled anyway (and apparently only people from Coruscant sound like posh brits...) However keep in mind that for most characters you are supposed to be an Imperial Officer, so try to act that. We would however like it if at least one of our voices is female.

Obviously everyone picked/helping out will be rewarded suitably.

There is a TE tonight, the Empire will attempt to capture Calamari Planet and the Calamari Shipyards. The TE starts at 10pm GMT / 5pm EST. As usual we will plan and brief on IRC about an hour before the TE in #isd_predator.

Just a small note to all who beta-tested this mission, send your pilot file to me.

Since one of our COMs will just not believe the cheating policy, TAC-manual or anything unless I post it here again: You are NOT allowed to use ANY patches you cannot get from the TAC or SCO sites. If you do anyway and this is detected - this will be punished as cheating. Outside patches will also NEVER be approved for EH use, just like we'll never approve outside missions.

I've noticed recently that fewer and fewer new people try and create missions. I think that its because that we have alot of tutorials, and many means to learn how to create missions but few pilots know where to find them. For this reason I have decided to remind you all of the following links:

The Unit Rewards have already been announced, but furthermore did we reward the participants from Praetorian Squadron with a Palpatine Crescent each for winning overall! Excellent work!

Overall participation surpriced me pleasantly, I'll make an effort to run another similar competition in another few months - I hope that everyone who participated enjoyed themselves. :)

As reported in the RO's report, there's a demo of Republic Commando out on the 3D Gamer's site. If you insist on getting it from there, I recommend trying the Bit Torrent download as I got fairly good speeds off it. Alternatively, you can get it directly off the TC server here. The demo is 431 megs.

Overview

The position of DO will require a multi-disciplined applicant that is well-versed in a range of areas.

Selection Criteria – Essential

1. Experience in role-playing, preferably in the online arena
2. Good written communication skills
3. An acceptable level of presence in online media such as IRC, message boards, etc.
4. Fast email response time.
5. The ability to work with a range of EH personnel, including the Fleet Commander.
6. Experience at some level of command.

Selection Criteria – Desirable

1. A current owner of Star Wars Galaxies
2. A current member of the EH Player Association
3. Proven experience in improving an area of the Emperor's Hammer over a period of time

Addressing the Selection Criteria

When addressing the selection criteria, you must supply supporting evidence to back up your claim of meeting the criteria. A generally accepted model is the STAR model, where you outline a Situation, Task, Action and Resolution relating to the criteria. You should meet at least the essential criteria to be considered for the position.

References

You must include at least three (3) references in your application. At least one must be a current or former superior (preferably current). Ensure you have their permission first. If it is found out that you have used someone's name without their permission, your application will be disqualified.

Performance Management

Performance will be evaluated in a number of key areas. These include submission of reports, number of complaints from members, online conduct, achieving tasks and duties outlined in the Training Manual, as well as tasks outlined in the EH Tasks List for this position. Above average performance will be rewarded, while below average performance, if continual, will result in removal from the position.

Applications should be directed to the Fleet Commander (fc@emperorshammer.org) with the subject "Application for DO". The application should include your response to the selection criteria and other relevant details, such as your ID line and contact details.

As the judge of the recent Casino Imperiale Competition I would like to publically congradulate Praetorian Squadron again for their first place finish, and superb performance in this competition. They've shown great activity, skill, and devotion in this competition and I congradulate them for winning once again.

Now the Casino Imperial scores are in. This competition proved to be a huge success and I thank the SCO, FA Ender for running it. From this a new TIECORPS BGCOM's OWN has been chosen!
