I have just returned home from Arizona to Utah (USA) from Christmas vacation. HFXO report will be out tonight.
Don't forget that I still have two competitions running this month - December's Monthly Topic and LOLhammer! Both are a lot of fun and have some nice shinies to be had... especially since I haven't had a lot of entries yet.

MAA/DA Death
According to the Dark Side Compendium, the Diamond Sword is to be awarded to "Members of the Brotherhood who have shown consistent loyalty...". I can think of no one more loyal the Dark Brotherhood than Exar Kit. This loyalty was tested in September of this year when the Dark Brotherhood was left without a site.
When I finished the code, I still needed somewhere to put it. Exy generously allowed us to host our website from his personal account for almost three months. Even more, he dealt with my persistent complaints about the server, the site, all the while working on fixing some of them.
I can think of no one more loyal to the Dark Brotherhood than Exar Kit. I know I speak for the entire EHDB when I say, "Thank You".
For their consistent service to the Dark Brotherhood over the past year, Death and Farrin have been promoted to Dark Side Adept (DA).
I have a feeling the lightning is going to start flying...

It is with pleasure that I announce that the position of Governor General on the planet Loki has been filled by the newly minted Sir (Knight) Mordred, a former Prefect of the Hammer's Fist and Emperor's Hammer lifer. Mordred has assured me that he will go above and beyond in his duties. I look forward to seeing his first report.
In converse, there is still one more open GG position in the System, that of Ullyr, former home of the newly minted MoC Czulvang Lah, and current home of former MoE Janta La'an. E-mail me with your application!
Just to let everyone know, the Shadow Academy is still all sorts of broken. We're aware of the issue, and we're working on it. And by "we," I of course mean Czul. I'm being lazy and playing WoW.
I am happy to announce three changes to the Ministry Council, effective immediately. After consultation with the Council, I have deemed the position of Minister of State to be unnecessary, and have folded it into the responsibilities of Deputy Grand Moff. To fill this position, one I have had open for over a year, I have elevated Marquis Defast Insite - known to most as Exar Kit - to be my right-hand man. Exy is a very able commander with a huge amount of experience, and I am sure that he will be a fantastic DGMF (again!).
To fill his position, former Grand Moff Czulvang Lah has agreed to come back onto the Ministry Council as Minister of Communications. I am sure that both men will continue to work for the betterment of the Directorate. Drinks on them!
As you may have noticed, this website has moved! We're now on permanent Emperor's Hammer hosting.
For various technical reasons, the Shadow Academy is not yet back online. Former reports are also temporarily missing, but I'll get those online with the SA site.
There don't seem to be any technological side-effects of the move to this point, but it's always possible something will happen. If you have an error with the site, please contact me in the usual manner.
The Executive Officer has sent out a the procedures for reporting IRC Code of Conduct and Article of War Violations. These procedures are not new in any way, but it is best that you review them.
If you encounter a violation of a CoC/AoW please take the following steps
-- Log the activity. Without a log of the behavior the incident becomes he said/she said and our options are limited
-- Report the activity to your immediate superior or to the moderator of the channel (both on mIRC or the message board)
Upon receipt of a violation
-- If you are a moderator within mIRC or the Message Board please take immediate steps to end the CoC/AoW violation.
-- This action may include a ban from the mIRC channel or removal of the post from the message board (pending a review of the case)
-- If the violation has already been concluded and no further disruption is occurring report the incident to the SO and provide the corresponding log
The SO will conduct his standard review of the logged activity, review any CoC/AoW violations and, if warranted, transfer the matter to the JAG for action. The JAG is not to be included on any communication regarding an issue except from the SO for trial.
These guidelines are subject to change by the SO & JAG (with a kindly heads up to the XO/FC). If there are no clarifications from the SO & JAG please forward this information down your respective chains of command.
I'm running two new competitions out of my office for the month of December. The first is the return of the Monthly Topic (I'll try to keep it an every month thing this time, I promise!). This month's topic revolves around the trials and tribulations that everyone has faced and overcome.
