Details: With my recent appointment as [Executive Officer of the Hammer's Fist] I have been charged with the task of resurrecting The Dark Legionnaire, Official Newsletter of the Hammer's Fist. At current the Dark Legionaire is the only newsletter active in the Emperor's Hammer so we shall continue to lead the way. I'm looking for fiction, graphics, articles, or anything along that sort (see more here at http://hf.atcontroller.com/HFFM/submit.php). The medals awarded are as such:

* Medal of Darkness - 1 Submission (MoD)
* Bronze Cross - 5 Submissions (MoD-BC)
* Silver Cross - 10 Submissions (MoD-SC)
* Gold Cross - 15 Submissions (MoD-GC)
* Platinum Cross - 20 Submissions (MoD-PC)
* Dark Cross - 25 Submissions (MoD-DC)
* For every additional 8 Submissions after 25 you will receive a Legion of Service (LoS)

It seems Farrin is trying to make me work. Anyway, I have a few things in mind for the DIR, but since I don't want to get anyone all excited about projects that won't be complete for quite some time, I won't mention them. I will, however, tell you a little of what's going on. My duties as MoC fall second to my duties as Grand Master. Fortunately for you, as GM, a lot of the work I'm doing at the moment involves the DB site, which is derived from the same codebase as the DIR site. Currently, I'm working on adding new features to the Dark Brotherhood's website, some of which (many of them aren't needed by the DIR) will find their ways to this website in the next month or two. Exy is currently working on a new layout for the Directorate Site - it's a little...flashier than the current one. He's expecting to have his part done within a week or so, at which point it becomes my job to integrate the site's backend into the display of that new layout. This will be a long process, as I intend to install several new security procedures which will require me to rewriting much of the administrative code. As of now, everything IDline except FCHG rank should be as it should be. That means IWATS, medals and assignment.
Pls note that not all medals reccommended after kaplooey day have been awarded yet, so you might miss those.
A few dozen other minor bugs got fixed today. I\'m responding with e-mail as much I can to let ppl know I fixed their bug, but I might have missed a few. Keep them bug reports coming!

Also, I'm adding something to the Dark Legionnaire - FUNNY UNDERNET QUOTES!

FUNNY UNDERNET QUOTES GUIDELINES
- Must have actually been said in #HF or an HF channel (#HF-RP, #General_Staff, etc.).
- Must have a date attached to the quote (day it was said so we can reference it)
- Does NOT have to be submitted by the person that says it. Anyone can submit anyone's quote. So you might want to always have your e-mail open.
- Does NOT have to permission by the person that said it or parties involved in the quote.
- Limit will be placed on the number of jokes about a certain former HF member whom shall not be named on mass media (The definition of 'limit' is pending).

Those are the guidelines. To be eligible for a Medal of Darkness you must submit five (5) Funny UnderNet Quotes. If you submit quotes for the sake of submitting quotes then they won't count. The Executive Officer (ME!) will deem if they are funny or not. You will not know if they have been accepted or not until the publication of the DL for that month.

So, start submitting those as well. We all like to BS on UnderNet and now here is a way to get paid for it.

I supported this decision and was one of the ones arguing most strenuously for its approval, because I believe that it will give us, the Directorate, much in the way of new material to work with. EH Timeline Advanced!
For the better part of a decade the Emperor's Hammer has existed 3 years prior to the arrival of Grand Admiral Thrawn. (i.e. 2 years after the Battle of Endor). At the time the EH was created there was nowhere near the amount of EU source material now available.

As such, we are advancing the timeline to 25 ABY (After Battle of Yavin). This places us directly at the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong War. It is up to all of us now to make this time period our own.

Each group should determine what their objective is within this new time period. How has the EH evolved in the last 20 years of Star Wars time? This is a whole new playground for us to play in and its up to us to develop it!


So the General Staff will be talking about this ASAP! We are fighting the Black Fist but we just might start fighting on two fronts! If you have never picked up any of the Star Wars: New Jedi Order series books I recommend you get some now from the local thrift store and start reading!

Details: Originally designed for the Mystics of the Black Sword (Emperor's Hammer Dark Brotherhood) it has now been brought to the Hammer's Fist Stormtrooper Legion. It is designed based of the old West End Games' Star Wars Role Playing Game. It will use D(ice)6 unlike d20 of Dungeons and Dragons (D&D). When it is done with the beta testing version it will be fully incorporated into the Hammer's Fist.

Beta testers are needed and all you have to do is make a character sheet and e-mail it to me (rogue_outsider@yahoo.com) to be put on the list.

Major General Dante has retired from active duty in the Hammer's Fist Stormtrooper Legion and as such has stepped down as Commander, Training. Thank you for your service, Field Marshall (he has returned to his old rank after serving as Prefect of the Legion).

To fill the vacancy Assistant: Commander, Training Captain Sirik Xirok has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General (Probation) and appointed Commander, Training. Congratulations, General. The Prefect and I are sure he will continue to add to the CSMA and the Commander, Training Office as we make a fresh start in 2009.
