As of today, Apr 26th 2012 at approximately 11:20(AM) our own Admiral Horus Blackheart informed me of his resignation from our office. For those of you who do not know him, Horus can often be found on IRC as Horus_BH and is frequently browsing and chatting via email and forums. He is one of the EHs oldest and finest officers, and his work and efforts here will never be forgotten. The Admiral is also a very dear friend to me and I find it very difficult to be dismissing him today, but his own well being far outweighs my desire to keep him onboard with us. Horus was the Logistics Officer Assistant, and has been working closely with Mark, Crsepe and myself since my appointment to Logistics Officer going on 2 months ago. Horus, it has been a great honor to work with you my friend, and I hope that your return to us is fast and as painless as possible. The office and myself salute you for your experience and ideas that you shared, and for the great work you've done. Thank you and may your service to the Empire continue to be a shining light for all of us to look up to. Best of luck Admiral.

With this said and done, I am now in dire need of a new LO:A. For those of you interested please e-mail myself and my Command Attache Mark Schueler. I am in need of someone with plenty of time, and willing to service our office and club to the best of their abilities. If you are newer and are not quite sure what the LO:A would be doing, please email me or Mark and we would be more than happy to let you know what your responsibilities are in an exact writing. For now though Im busy and Im guessing most of you know what the Logistics Office is about, and what you would be doing.

Rewards? Well I believe you can ask anyone in my office if their position is rewarding and they will tell you both in medals, and in accomplishment. You will not only be rewarded for you work, but the self satisfaction of knowing that what you do here is not just for a small unit but the ENTIRE FLEET is beyond rewarding guys. We do a lot of big work here, so I need someone with a big heart for the EH and someone who is interested in going above and beyond the call of duty to do this job - because thats what we do EVERYDAY in the Logistics Office. Also if you choose to make this a full-time position there is of course a small promotion involved, but I ask that you do not join my staff for the medals and promotions, as we are a family here and we work closely together for the fleet, not for ourselves. Well it's time for some simple statistics about the EH database. The EH database consists of many tables totalling 36MB, with over 325,000 entries in it so far. It has recorded almost 16,000 exam completions. There are 1780 exam questions for 189 courses(both active and inactive). There have been 1000 reports added. There are currently 4489 people listed in the database. There have been 28,000 medals recorded as being given out. There have also been 2657 competitions listed. And for the biggest number... there have been over 160,000 BSFs completed for missions/battles in the database.

These are just to give a scope of the database and the data it has in it. Hopefully, I'll be able to improve the site's efficiency in the next couple of months since it has been lagging a lot lately.

I'm launching a new DB-wide fiction contest today. The topic is the 'Revanite heresy.' For those of you unfamiliar with the Old Republic era this particular heresy survives into 'modern' times but is often more commonly known as 'gray Jedi/Sith.' Your task will be to craft a story that is 3 pages minimum (no maximum this time, but keep in mind I want a short story not a novella.) that revolves around the idea of these Revanites. Do you follow their teachings? Did you meet a Gray Jedi in your past? Do the really have access to powers beyond either the light or dark side alone? It's up to you, just make a great story for us to read.

If you are participating keep a few things in mind: This story can be set in either the main EH time line or it can be set in the TOR era. Whichever you choose it should feature your character from that era. The story should involve the Revanites/Gray Sith in some way. If you aren’t familiar with the concepts then take a trip to Wookiepedia and read up on them or load up Knights of the Old Republic and explore the depths of Kashykk (Jolee Bindo was a Gray). Finally keep in mind the standard caveats of not performing acts your character is incapable of. No blowing up planets, no use of canon characters, and if you want to use someone's EH/TOR character in your story get permission first and make sure they approve how their character appears in your story. Basically keep it reasonable and respect others in your story.

The winning story will also be posted so that your fellow EH members can enjoy your talent.

 Some of you have been wondering what happened to our previous Security Officer and I have finally found out through some of his friend in The Exalted Ones gaming guild.

On December 27th Conker Blackwood passed away. There are literally no details behind it and the only reason we know what we do is because his mother called one of the ExO members and informed him of what I just told you.

His real name was Jimmy and he was born in 1977 making him 34 years old.

The Emperor's Hammer would like to extend our condolences to his friends and family and hope all of them are coping with this tragedy. We know he'll be missed here as he was one of the most prolific posters to the news of the EH

But he was also a close friend of mine, we would chat daily and game together often and even though I never knew him personally or even what his real name was that didn't matter because he and I got along and shared the same interests.

I'm going to miss him... bye Conker

P.S. When OoB is back online I will be renaming the DGN Lichtor V to the DGN Conker Blackwood... I hope he enjoys it.
