First off: there's no issue with the patches in 2023. You can install them all and use them without issue (TIE Drones will buzz around in Mission 2, you'll see a Hyperion Interceptor Gunboat in Mission 3 and then fly one in Mission 4).
I'm a bit on the fence on this one. I played through it and enjoyed it well enough. I think there's some issues with some of the goal setting, and I don't like assigning primary objectives when only the Secret Order briefing officer is present (meaning only secondary objectives count for mission completion; primary objectives are otherwise irrelevant). And there's a number of bugs in it, I feel like you lose the plot at different times (are we actually blowing up fellow DB members?), and the creator itself gave it a 2. So I guess I can't argue with that, although it even considering the above, it feels a tad harsh to me.

This battle is mostly fine but is brought down by bringing unshielded craft on missions that are poorly designed around them, and having a defective third mission that is impossible to complete on Hard.

Nice battle, and flying a T/I just makes it better! Flying an unshielded T/I is the challenge I need when looking for some heavy action. But there are a couple of annoyances here and there, being one of them the fact that the Hyperion GUN cannot be installed with TIE Drone (both use the same craft slot) and nobody tells you except in patches readmes. You should only need the Drone for mission 2, and I'm still wondering what the hell you need the Hyperion for... :P

Mission 2 has a primary objective (which doesn't actually have to be completed, it's enough to complete the secondary objectives for the mission to progress in the battle) to destroy 100% of TIE Bombers. Mission 2 does not have any TIE Bombers in it to destroy, making it impossible to complete the primary objectives

The third mission is impossible to complete on Hard. The ships that are meant to hyper in for completion never come.

TIE95, Win7 Pro, cant come past the battle selection screen, crashes immediately back to desktop when entering the briefing room

As I said on my own review: TIE Drone and Hyperion Gunboat use the same craft slot and nobody tells you which one you need and where in any of the txt files. Not necessary to mention that to face HYPs on mission 2 is waaaay too different than to face Drones. :P
