There are not a lot of good missions in the compendium where you fly a transport. This is one of them. Fly it!

There's a lot to like with this mission, in particularly with it having a balanced amount of enemies for the player to fight. Two knocks on it: the shuttle has to be disabled (which may or may not happen), and no real difficulty balance (advanced missiles on Easy is generally a bad idea...)

But definitely a fun one to fly, all the same!

I like flying unshielded TIEs! This one boils down to you and your TIE Fighter squadron destroying a CRV (who has starfighter orders so the usual tricks won't apply) and then a squadron of X-Wings and Z-95s. A reasonable enough challenge, but nothing extra to really elevate it either

I don't much care for this one. Granted, I'm not a fan of "let's fight a fleet over the course of an entire battle", mostly because they usually don't make much narrative sense and have to rely on abusing the invulnerable ship option. But you're also asked to fight TIE Defenders and Missile Boats (why are they Rebel craft?) while flying a B-Wing, which is not an enjoyable experience in TIE Fighter (admittedly, I don't care for the Fly Rebel Ships patch much either).

I'd still give it a 3, but there's lots of little bugs (ships colliding into each other, friendlies with orders to kill sensitive targets) that drop it down for me.

IT'S 1AM CHAL MUST BE LOOONELY!

But seriously, I think Beef is actually overtly harsh about his creation here - this is a actually pretty solid mission, with a very fun premise and a pretty flashy start. Lots of waves of ships for bonus points, but that doesn't interfere with the mission one iota. Well worth a fly!

I think it's alright. It is a bit of a frantic inspect + disable mission at the front, but I didn't mind that too much - the order of ships is pretty fair (Muurian -> Correlian Transport -> Conveyor -> M/CRV). Didn't encounter some of the issues others mentioned.

Not perfect (the Rebel TRNs arrive and do nothing, as you cannot have ships "compete" to capture in TIE Fighter - whoever shows up first gets dibs, causing the others to wait, even if their IFF is different), but different and entertaining.

There's a lot going on in this way, and I do have to give it some props for the complexity of it. That being said, not all elements within it are working as intended (ex: Rebel ATRs showing up to try to capture the same thing as your ATRs, but it just sits there instead because TIE doesn't allow multiple ships to try to capture the same target at the same time, even if they're different IFFs).

All that being said, it's still a pretty fun mission. And I do enjoy the TIE Praetorian, even though my eyes are still recovering from all that red...

Pretty good assault and capture operation, although I could do with Container Transports that don't fire back and perhaps less waves of Rebel ships...

It's an easy one, but it's awfully fun, and there's nothing wrong about that!

I enjoy flying a TIE Fighter, and I think the premise is interesting enough (mission goes wrong, protect your ship from ambush until help arrives), but it's a bit sloppy with some of the capital ship orders and the endless waves, and an easy one to fail if you miss the mission critical shuttle launch from the Relentless

Inspect and then destroy four Container Bs. That's the mission (the primary goals involving the same for three Container As are optional, as this is a SO-only briefing, and only the secondary goals matter). The fluff around it is amusing enough, just not much to speak for from a gameplay standpoint.

Long wait up front combined with capital ships with Hold Steady orders. Ultimately, mission comes down to lasering down said stationary Frigate, as you won't have any assistance (except when the enemy ships start bug out and start firing on it, helping you).

Might be a bit harsh as it is quite playable, but it's missing some key elements that any mission should have (namely, orders for your capital ships)

I think it's a solid scenario (although the Rebel INT at the beginning doesn't make much sense). Not a lot of stakes (nothing will threaten your ATR, not much to threaten the Colossus), which is the only real downside for me.

It's a pretty solid battle that mostly consists of making sure your transports carry out their mission (1 and 2) or make it home (3 and 4). I think it's a good entry for X-Wing. My only quibble would be the soft lock in mission 3 and 4 from disabling the shuttles vs. destroying them, but at least if you see the shuttle is disabled, you know the mission is over.

The story is absurd and fun; mission-wise, it's one of those battles where you really just take out fighters while other things happen around you, most of the time

Absolutely absurd, but still a fun time all around

I have to drop this one a point or two for a easy soft lock condition. If either ATR Conquest is destroyed before capturing the FRT with the special cargo or the Escort Shuttle, the mission will not be completable. This is aggravated by the fact that ATR Conquest only has 1 boarding - so you can't afford for either to go down.

Whatever the secondary objectives bug was, it's since been fixed, so that's good at least.

It's pretty rough. Mission #2 is surprisingly hard (flying as a Y-Wing with no waves or wingmen) and has cumbersome goals (you need to disable all conveyors, even though the goals only call for one). Mission #5 can be done just by inspecting four asteroid batteries that are very far away from each other, although oddly enough this mission gives you five waves, even though it's the one where you need them the least. I could probably be harsher on it, but for the most part it isn't unplayable - just didn't have a lot of fun with it either.

This is rough. The first three missions (while having some very concerning elements) are passable enough that the battle sits around a 2-3... but mission 4 and 5 are well and truly awful enough to drop this down considerably. There's no consideration to difficulty level, which is a cardinal sin in my book, and there's not enough going on otherwise to make any of it feel worthwhile.

Setting aside my belief that the Vong are the absolute worst thing in Star Wars lore, as well as my strong dislike of the artistic choice to use certain ships to represent other ships... I think it's well designed, but repetitive. A lot of the missions come down to protecting ships - and you better be ready to shoot warheads out of the sky if you want them to survive. There's also a couple missions where the structure / ship orders make things more tedious then they probably need to be (ex: Challenge not leaving until after I blew up a CRS out of boredom in Mission #5). Some more variety or less missions would have definitely helped improve this experience.

Wow, this is bad! First, a reminder: when only the Secret Order representative appears, only the Secondary Goals matter! So, ignore the primary objectives that can be finished in under 60 seconds - this one is all about destroying X-Wings and A-Wings. Most of which spawn without goals, and, in some cases, inside of other ships! But don't worry, everything has Hold Station orders, so you can laser them down without issue.

This is a mission that is, approximately, 50% finished, which means it's 50% unfinished. Not sure how this one got released, but the only reason it's not at a 0 is because you can finish it without much aggravation (just a decent helping of tedium)

Take the rating with a mountain of salt, but I'm rather pleased with this one - my first custom mission creation in about 18 years. Gave me a chance to go back and do things the way I think they kind of need to be for X-Wing to function for most - full briefing, with mission objectives listed and hints included.

It might be a bit challenging for some, but I've tried to keep it fair. The trickiest part is making a break for the Gunboats as soon as they arrive, so that they don't wreck your shuttle. And, while not very challenging, you need to know that you can destroy the shield generators on the Star Destroyer in X-Wing to bring down its shields.

It's a bit of an "X-Wing Greatest Hits" in mission form, but I'm still happy with it, looking back on it a year later.

It's a relatively easy inspection mission. Could do with a bit more events, goals, story, and proper direction.

The biggest issue is that the mission goals make it so that it can be completed in less than 30 seconds. If you stick around after, it's actually a pretty good mission... if the FRG capture and its survival was a primary goal (and it took longer to hyperspace away, requiring you to protect it), I think it's be pretty great.
