I finished the mission flawlessly. Never got killed, took a ton of enemies out. Decided to clean up the remaining fighters. The ISD got destroyed without a single notification of it's shields going out, haul damage, or anything. My victory was then changed to a tie, which constitutes as a mission failure. This was my first attempt. It took me 3 more tries to successfully beat the mission and never scored nearly what I did the first time. For that reason alone, I cannot recommend this mission. You should not be punished for trying to go above and beyond.

I enjoyed this one - it's more about buying time and keeping your ship alive than destroying the CRSs, and that is absolutely OK!

The most annoying part of the mission if you play as the GUNs is trying to keep the CRS from hypering out before you can destroy them

Frantic good fun. Definitely a challenge in the TIE/IN, although I feel I may have lost points trying to eliminate protorps that were being lobbed at the Intrepid!

I found this to be more fun than Free 1, straight dogfighting for the TI here. Again, good replay value by flying the other craft choices - gunboat or TA

Awesome mission. A large scale battle between two groups, choices on the role you want to fly, no surprise failure objectives. A bit easy, but I prefer easy over artificially difficult.

An enjoyable mission - can be played with a TIE I for an extra challenge or a shielded ship, which I did for this first play through on medium.

This is Star Wars, Capital ships facing off launching their squadrons against each other. This will test your dogfighting capabilites. Good practice for the casual dogfighter.
For a challenge, fly as the TIE Interceptor squad, face it off with A-Wings gunning for you.
Something more casual, and my Tip, fly with one of the TIE Advanced squads, turn sheilds down to maintenance level, Lasers to Partial Charge. and Shoot as many X-Wings as you can, as quick as you can. Then finish off the A-Wings. (And it's either A-Wings are hard to hit or my Pew Pew sucks lol )

A bit of a strange free mission this one - you don't really need to do much other than buy yourself time for the big ship to arrive. Lots of dog fighting alphabet fighters in amongst larger capital ships, but not really a mission that lasts long in memory.

Very boring but that doesn't make it bad. Just a dogfight with a capital ship sandwich to get in your way. If you want something laid back give it a shot.

This was actually a fun mission to fly. Would have been nice to have it as part of a bigger storyline. Straight-shooting capital ship vs capital ship. So far so good.

Felt a lot like a fleet battle to me, and people know how I feel about those. Either way, I drug through it and it really wasn't that bad. I'd say give this a go if you are in the mood for a straight forward mission with no real wow factor.

Yet another dogfighting or bombing mission, but although the concept has been used tirelessly, this mission is fun to fly and is simple as it gets. Either on a T/I (or T/A if you feel unsure about your dogfighting capabilities) or on the old Gunboat (personal favourite) this mission is very enjoyable.

A fun mission, lots of targets to shoot at, and lots of opportunities to hunt a high score. The wait for the objective to arrive can be boring if you kill the Rebels too quickly, but at higher difficulties there's more to keep you occupied.

I played on Easy. You play as a TIE Interceptor again and blow up a bunch of X-Wings and A-Wings. It's a fine skirmish but there's not much else to it. The ending goal of having an ISD arrive takes a little while, so the fight ends and then you wait a few minutes before the mission is actually over.

I thought it was a good battle, could of used more fighters, alittle easy, but I had fun taking out those cruisers. Overall good mission.

Great challenge on "Hard" difficulty. Wingmen are a little inadequate for the amount of enemy fighters, and taking out the TWO CRS's at the end before they wasted the Intrepid was not so good. The challenge made it great though, hence the rating.
