My EXTEREME dislike for unnecessary waiting caused this score. Mission 4 literally has a 28 min wait for the VSD to SLOWLY fly to the exit point. On easy I had every enemy killed by the 5 minute mark, but then had to sit doing NOTHING until the 31 min mark for the mission to end.

A decent battle that completely falls apart at the last mission. Friendly ships attacking each other, friendly ships launching from the enemy hangar, and having to wait 45 minutes for a ship to make it to hyperspace is far too long a wait.

A solid battle, spoiled in one major flaw. It should be renamed as the Flight of the Gunship, since you will have to sit inside the old warhorse, backbone of the ion-armed Imperial arsenal until the arrival of the Defender. This was challenging and invigorating. The battle itself develops pretty well and has the pilot to perform a variety of roles: dogfighting, disabling, bombing and even some hard defending in T/A in mission 4. The major flaw? On the last mission your VSD is supposedly setting a new plotline for an 'emergency' hyper jump that lasts over 20 minutes! So much for emergency. This was really an extremely tedious and boring fun-killer. Whenever corrected, the overall score of the battle should improve, but until then, be prepared to sip a ton of coffee in your cockpit, while waiting for the sluggish VSD to finally bug out. A shame because it was fun until then.

CPT Jagged Fell III


As mentioned in the reviews, mission 4 has a bug where it is clear from the orders for the Indomitable that it was intended to jump out 4 mins after the INT is destroyed, but due to how XWA works if a FG is already performing an order that it was "jumped to" via a special condition, you cannot get it to stop that order until the order is completed. The FG should not have been "jumped" to order 3 but just normally to have started it so that it could have been switched to order 4 at the 4 min mark as intended via the special order section.

Mission 1: If the liner is destroyed before all of the shuttles launch from it, you do not get a mission failure notification.

Mission 2: IRC Daichii launches fighters despite the fact that an IRC does not have a hangar. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but this IRC was
missing a reactor core, which when destroyed immediately destroys the station.

Mission 3: If it is not destroyed quickly Corvette Dothraki 1 Collides with Strike cruiser Targaryan, destroying both ships.

Mission 4: Tie Advanced group Lambda and Nu attack their own gunboats due to the fact both sides are marked as Imperial.

Tie Defender group Zeta is marked as a friendly flight group when they launch from the Subjugator, causing the Subjugator to attack them when they launch from its' hangar.

Tie Defender group Zeta attack each other after being launched.

Tie Defender group Zeta will attack the player when enough of their own flight group have been destroyed due to them having not been assigned to attack specific flight groups.

GN Dunta Polo


(Battle flown on medium difficulty) Mission 2: Enemy craft are all disabled upon entering the combat zone (except the reinforcements that launch later), this is inconsistent with the radio messages. Mission 4: Enemy T/Ds attack their own side. Questionable design decision to have the VSD Indomitable fly 15km after the INT Restrainer is neutralised.

will freeze and exit to windows. Make sure you get back to your VSD before this
