I flew this as part of Raise the Flag competition 2021. Overall, the battle seemed straightforward with no major hang-ups. There is not much to say about it. It was fun but the battle did not contain any elements that makes it stand out from nearly every other battle you have ever flown.

pretty good set of missions, felt pretty quick overall. shot down some fighters, shoot the shuttle, and shoot the giant capital ship at the end. no issues or bus that i was aware of and worked for me

Not terribly difficult, but not boring either. Sometimes you just want to blast some bad guys. If you're in that mood, or just want a quick battle, this is the one.

I played on Easy. This is another extremely quick battle. It's good for quick points and the missions are simple enough. The AI will even do most of your work on Easy. I don't have much else to say about this one, it was very, very quick.

I really enjoyed this battle - short and sweet, with missions that were solid, if not stand-out. I do have to confess, I do like being able to cheese my way through a sequence in a T/D the entire time. But overall, I thought this was very fast, engaging fun.

Having not played XvT SP for a while, I found myself rusty again. This battle seeks to answer the question, how many missiles does it take to destroy a TIE Defender? The answer is 50. If you played this one while hungry, don't worry, you will eat enough missiles to satisfy even the biggest of appetites. I'm putting some of the difficulties I am having down to my own rust. Will try this one a few more times and see what it's really made of. NNo trouble with missions 2, 3 and 4. Somehow Mission 1 on hard gets the better of me, as usually near the end I cant keep the Claw alive (from the Ywings) while having a ton of craft on my back. Perhaps I will try it again at a later point. --------------------------------------------------- Update: After reflying this battle I feel it deserves a bump to 4 out of 5

This was my first XvT custom flown for EH. I may be a little biased here with my opinion given the game is least favorite of the series for me. The first two missions looked somewhat identical I think. Like two variations of the same encounter really. The third and fourth were pretty okay. I've encountered two bugs trying to fly this battle though (see attached report). Overall it was okayish but nothing too fancy.

The missions were pretty straight forward at first, but that last mission was pretty challenging. Take this with a grain of salt from someone who isn't super great at these game, but I definitely got to a point where I lost count of how many more ships I had in reserve. All in all, this was a fun mission with a fairly straightforward set of objectives and story.

Played the first 3 missions on Hard. They were a challenge but easily beatable. The story was pretty straight forward and the mission briefings were ok. Everything went off the rails in mission 4. After countless tries I could not tackle the onslaught of ATRs and had to drop it down to medium before I could beat it after a couple more tries. That 4th mission was quite the challenge especially as the crutch of additional waves was missing in this 4th mission.

Although the plotline of this battle is rather standard, the battle itself is well fleshed out. I enjoyed the challenge of the ATRs in the last mission.
Battle Bug Reports

I've encountered two bugs trying to fly this battle.
First one in mission 1. Whenever (twice in fact) I tried to destroy the Strike Cruisers while enemy fighters were still present in the area, the game sort of crashed with a popup window giving null pointer information. It worked fine when the Cruiser went down after all enemy fighters were cleared.
The fourth mission appears to be impossible to be finished on the hard difficulty. Even if you destroy all ATR from Lake and Placid groups; the game fails to register respective primary goals as complete. It works all fine on medium difficulty though.

On the download page for this mission it should indicate the EH Ship patch for XvT is required. The readme that opens after loading the mission in EHBL did correctly indicate the patch was necessary, just the TC website was incorrect.
