This battle is disappointing. It involves a lot of flying around from enemy fighter group to enemy fighter group, sometimes with 20+ km in between. Although the storyline should have a comical feel to it, I don't find it funny. The difficulty levels are mixed up badly. And in mission 4, the Subjugator is very hard if not impossible to save. Overall, I give it a rating of 2.

Although the plotline of this battle is rather standard, the battle itself is well fleshed out. I enjoyed the challenge of the ATRs in the last mission.

Once you understand how to fly it, this mission is not that hard. However, this is one of those engagements that is simple in concept, but enjoyable and innovative in flight. This mission would be very much fun in the form of a co-op MP between two teams (XWA Skirmish perhaps?). Developing a good strategy to complete it in MP would be interesting.

Quite frankly, I was disappointed after flying this XvT-Free. Although it has no bugs, the mission itself is very basic and feels like it has been rushed through production (description, readme, in-flight action) as if the author wanted to dedicate as little time to it as possible.

A good battle. I have to concur with COL Gunman though. It took me 1.5 hours to finish mission 4 because the AI Gunboats only destroyed 2 asteroids and I had to finish the others with lasers without support. There really should be 2 waves of AI Gunboats which you can summon instead of 1 wave.

Let's see... Pros: - variety in craft to fly, - quick FCHG points, - no bugs. Cons: - silly flight group names, - no real explanation on what "Super Elites" are, how they work and how they are defeated in the last mission, - garbled plotline, - uncorrected english, - you gain bonus points when your wingmen are killed (mission 2), - orders that require you to complete starships apparently also want you to destroy a PLT and asteroid base as well(mission 4). All in all, this battle is below par.

Enjoyable battle. The only thing I didn't like was that the AI was stealing my kills in mission 2. Either the AI of the enemy is too low or I am rusty ;).

Solid mission to practice your dogfighting. Unfortunately, the mission is a tad too easy on Medium. Quick FCHG point.

Time for a reality check. This mission was decently constructed and even humorous at times. However, the storyline and originality left enough to be desired. I believe a rating 3 is more fitting for this mission.

Excellent battle with a solid storyline, good briefings and a lot of action. Moreover, it is a joy to combat the exotic E-Wings and K-Wings. Note: this Minos Campaign can be quite demanding on Medium or Hard difficulty.

Decent battle. Quick action, no patches required. If you want FCHG points, look no further. I found the first mission to be the most challenging, those thereafter were less demanding. It was a little simple in the fiction department, though. As it was created for a Vendetta, that's understandable. Nevertheless, this battle misses an opportunity as a Vendetta background has potential for a great story.

A good mission. The funny thing about this XWA-Free is that every time you think it is over, it's not. Moreover, there are no bugs. To summarize; a decent escort mission with just that little bit extra.

This is a solid mission and it takes good effort to destroy the horde of Y/W's and TIE's that is attacking you. I strongly recommend you read the background story in MISC. It might include some dodgy english, but it is of high quality and really adds to the mission experience.

I strongly disagree with the comments of the previous poster. The only negative point about this mission is the fact that the briefing is too quick. Apart from this minor issue, this mission boasts no bugs (I didn't have problems with the AI issue at all), a good storyline and gameplay and lots of action. On top, the MC-90 patch just gives stunning results, which I hadn't seen before. Normally, I would give this mission a 4. However, to compensate for the previous rating, I make it a 5.

This is a quick and solid mission. The competition for which this was created required a lot of time, so it is admirable to see that this mission has quality. I was a bit disappointed about the low difficulty level though, as the player's wingmen do most of the work in scratching the convoy. I didn't really feel I was needed. As a final rating, I give it a 3.

Very nice mission. This is a good one to brush up your rusty skills. Protect that missile boat! The New Republic has a nice amount of ships, so you won't easily get the upper hand.

Decent missions with that unusual Frodo style. Mission 4 can be tricky, you'll have to intercept the heavy rockets in order to complete the mission. Enjoyable battle.

This was an entertaining battle. It's fun to fly the V-Wing as well. Nicely balanced craft. When flying this battle, make sure you have the latest EHSP and latest V-Wing patch installed. I flew first with EHSP 2.0 and the craft appeared in the tech library, but was swapped with a T/A during the battles.

Very funny e-mails and storylines. I think the spirit of Astatine was captured quite remarkably ;). Yes, the missions are easy, but what do you think an unshielded TIE can take? You want to assault CRS with that? No, such missions would be much more frustrating. Basic battle with quick FCHG points, but quite enjoyable. Great work!

It's good to see some more Avenger Task Force missions. This is a quick mission with some fast dogfighting and basic objectives. Ideal to fly for new recruits that just left PLT Deadalus.

This was a quick and easy FCHG point. Although the mission setup was not terribly original and after testing still some spelling errors in the briefing have remained, I liked flying this mission.

Oh yes, I remember this TIE Demo very well. I flew this umpteen times with a keyboard and mouse(!), because I didn't own TIE-Fighter then nor a joystick. Finally, I was able to kill some A/W's with that, which requires quite some skill with just a mouse. All this frantic flying wasn't very good for the pointing device, though :). And after all these years, I still get killed by the FG A/W Rogue. Nice reconstruction! It brings back some good memories.

I am not so much a TIE player, but this battle was excellent. Interesting plotline that slowly develops during the missions. On top of that, not too hard on medium. I especially liked the following quip from mission #5: Pilot to Flight Officer: "You're looking spiffy today, Sir!". Flight Officer to Pilot: "Well, glad that you noticed. I have been promoted from Lesser Briefing Officer to Senior Briefing Officer. Just waiting for the Flight Office to approve it.". It's this kind of humor and great plots that make flying TIE still very worthwhile! Great job, creators!

This was a nice mission. I liked to disable the CRVs and capture those insidious Rebel officers. I tried to complete the mission with the standard complement of advanced missiles, but the second CRS jumped out before I could destroy it. Thereafter I flew the mission again with Mag Pulses, which was rather easy in comparison.
