I really enjoyed the 4th wall breaking story and I felt the missions had a good variety. I played on easy and the mission against the 3 capitol ships in an unshielded T/I with no warheads was a bit close but it all worked out.

I really enjoyed this battle. A number of missions getting to fly the PES was a nice change of pace. Lost a point because of the mission to destroy a number of capital ships in a T/I with no warheads.

The XWA version of the classic TIE battle 'Operation: Bourbon Run', the conversion was nearly flawless and the battle was fun to fly. It had a fair injection of humor without getting too campy, and it's always fun to fly something a little different than the usual TIE/D.

I could call this a comedy rather than a TC battle. The plotline was very elaborated and comical. You can tell there a hundred of inside jokes the average player will not understand, but the absurd is always present. Now, the flying itself is a nightmare. It is like the author had planned to deliberately annoy the poor pilot to the fullest extent. You are always flying either a space brick PES or unshielded fighters T/Fs and T/Is. One remarkable thing is in the final battle, wisest thing is to disable =the capital ship in the PES slug tank and head back burning wheels in order to change to a T/I and start a real session of dogfighting. Strange, annoying, beyond challenging and very, very original.

This was, overall, an excellent battle, although I admit I didn't appreciate the humour in it as much as I might had I known Conker better. I'm giving it a five because despite not finding the funny side, it was well executed and flying the Pursuer Enforcement Ship and unmodified TIE Fighter and Interceptor is a nice change to the seemingly endless list of Advanced and Defender missions!

See my review for TIE-TC 241, which is the TIE version of this one. Enough to say that this "Director's Cut" version surpasses it in almost every aspect exploiting the goodies of XWA engine as much as possible and, except a few starfighters trying to hyper out with no hyperdrive, it's 100% bug-free. Then again, Conker, wherever you may be: EXCELLENT WORK!! And thanks for your wink at Mission Hints (you know what I mean ;)) And now that I think of it, chances are that those crazy TIEs trying to hyper out were featuring bourbon-sponsored pilots after all...

This is a great Battle, Well done Conker! I usually don't like humor based Battles but this was well done and fun to fly. I also enjoyed getting to fly a plain jane TIE for a couple missions. This was a well designed and executed Battle. I recommend this one highly to everyone.

Crazy ole Conker. Fun - yet whacky plotline.
The Director's Cut really takes advantage of (to the point of almost being an awesome fun tech demo :P) all the shiny features of XWA.

And there we go again: T/I FG Omicron (not player's FG though but from Omicron 7 on), T/F FG Alpha and T/B FG Delta all them have Hyperspace as their two departure methods so they'll try to hyper out after mission is over
2012-05-07
Then again, T/I FG Omicron won't return to DREAD Ravager but will try to hyper out... with no hyperdrive... Their departure methods are both set to Hyperspace.

I think Lt. Commander Fenn already reported this one but for wrong mission for it happens on Mission 4 and not 3. Basically, T/B FG Delta won't return to VSD Venom after completing mission; instead they'll try to hyper out to no avail because their departure methods are set to Hyperspace both instead VSD Venom. On Mission 3, however, their main departure method is well set to the Venom.
