The Assault Gunboat is easily my least favorite ship, but this is a well-balanced mission suited for the craft.

Nice little mission, believable amount of craft and backstory that ties to the original TIE Fighter game. From a mission design standpoint, it's a bit on the easy side but there's enough message and events that you feel busy the whole mission but not too many messages that you miss something important. The only improvement I would make is maybe have the Cygnus Research station be under more of a threat. Maybe it should have no armaments or the CRL jumps in at cannon range, making you act fast to attack and disable it.

Well made mission. Solid tactical design, it has a good old-school feeling of those well-structured, no nonsense missions, where there a variety of roles the player has to fulfill in order to succeed. Additionally, this one features the War Mule, aka the Assault GUN, a personal favourite. Interdiction, dogfighting, protection and bombing capital ships, this is how versatile the old and rugged mule can go. A good mission for some minutes of concentrated fun.

Fun and challenging mission, while still not being the „T/F against all odds destroys rebel armada single handedly” difficult. The background story is also fun as with the other missions in the series.

A fun mission, and challenging when you want to have a good score. There are minor logical flaws, like why you do a demonstration of the Gunboats abilities by destroying stationary targets while the brass you hope to impress hasn't even arrived yet. But that's nitpicking. :)
