A very well-designed set of missions that were pretty easy to follow. Hopping through each squadron was a nice touch and there was a good mix of different kinds of battles, from dogfighting, escort, capital ship assault, to even a small fleet battle at the end. The only thing keeping this battle from a 5 is some missions were pretty frustrating and took many tries to complete. However, the difficulty of the missions usually wasn't coming from the mission design, more just the amount of Rebel fighters with Adv. missiles. If there was a 4.5 rating I would give it.

I can see there was a lot of work behind this battle, but man were some of the missions INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. Mission 3 I believe is the worst offender, the start of the missions requires so much luck and took me at least 20 tries to finally pass it. I like how each mission almost has a bonus mission that takes place after you complete the primary objectives. I wasn't able to experience each one since sometimes I was just happy to complete the primaries and didn't want to lose my command ship to the secondary objectives. I can see a lot of work was put into the mission design, but the frustration level in this battle was way too high.

Not a bad mission, but nothing special to make it stand out. I like that it was a mix of dogfighting and capital ship attack. There was a little bit of tension with the STRCK being attacked by the Rebel Lt. Cruiser, but besides that the mission was pretty easy. Nothing major to mention as far as plot or story is concerned. Not much else to report on this one.

Not the most interesting set of missions. I suppose that is part of the idea with you being the role of a prison guard, but the missions felt way too easy and there never was any tension. It was nice to just fly a T/F, but I feel the missions could have been made a little more difficult or a little more unique. Each mission felt like a small dogfight and then nothing else. Maybe IDing some cargo or incoming transports or an escape attempt from within the prison would have made the missions a little more interesting but still fitting with the narrative.

Not a bad mission overall, I would say nothing special. I think the battle could have used a bit more dogfighting with enemy fighters, because as is it was pretty easy. Going for bonus objectives did add some difficulty, but more tedium than anything else. Having some Rebel fighters attack the boarding craft or ATR Sigma might add some needed tension to the mission. I also think capturing the FRG should have been a primary objective instead of a bonus, since the mission is way too easy if you are just going for primary objectives, which is only to inspect the 3 Rebel starships.

Was a pretty good set of missions overall, but the final mission was a very intense and epic fleet fight that definitely brought the battle to new heights. I liked the mix of craft (T/I, T/A, GUN) you got to fly as well as a choice in the last battle. Missions felt a bit easy until the final two, where it really felt like you were making a huge difference in the fight. One of the better battles I've played from the TIE Corps so far!

If I could give this battle a 2.5, I would. Overall good set of battles, briefings are well-written, and difficulty was well-balanced on Medium. Missions had some variety to them, with inspection, dogfighting, and bomber intercept, but since you're only flying the T/I, this limits the variety somewhat. Nothing really wrong with this battle, but nothing really blew me away either. Storyline seemed fairly generic but at least I wasn't lost or didn't understand the situation. Just a overall good set of battles in the TIE Interceptor. not much else to report.

This battle had 2 of the most frustrating missions I've every flown in the TIE Corps. Which is a shame, because the other 3 missions in this battle are overall pretty good. I was liking flying the non-shielded TIEs for a while, but then shields get added in Missions 4 & 5. There was quite a bit of action and dogfighting that was very well done throughout the entire campaign. This battle would have scored a 4 out of 5 if it weren't for missions 3 and 5. Mission 3 had you flying an unshielded T/I with a lot of AI backup vs many capital ships and installations. The mission goes fine until a Rebel A/FRG shows up. Due to a targeting bug, your friendly ISD rarely hits the A/FRG, meaning your AI backup has to destroy the A/FRG or you have to get lucky and the A/FRG turns at the right angle to be hit by the ISD. I needed both to happen in order to pass this extremely frustrating mission.
The other badly designed, very long mission was mission 5, where you have to fight a Rebel fleet. Once again, an A/FRG is part of the fleet, but this time you have shielded T/Is to help you out in your own shielded T/I. It led to a very tense moment where your ISD almost gets destroyed, but we destroyed the A/FRG in the nick of time. That moment was great! A SSD shows up to assist you which seems and it seems like the battle is starting to wrap up, just need to destroy the fighters and two remaining capital ships. But once you destroy all of the fighters, ALL of you AI backup just heads home, leaving you in a shielded T/I to destroy a M/CRV and a ESC. This is not an impossible task, but a very long and arduous process of fire a few shots, then dodging, then firing again. These two missions ruined a lot of fun I had for this set of missions.

Not much to say about this 4 mission battle. Nothing ground breaking, but solidly made overall. Difficulty was pretty low, no missions felt like they hinged on your actions except for maybe parts of the last one. No craft variety, only TIE Advanced and nothing else, which fine but I personally like some ship variety (or at least the choice of it). Storyline wise, pirate hunting was a fine set up and I didn't feel lost, but not terribly engaged either. Not a bad set of missions, I overall had fun, but nothing really made this one stand out from other battles

Good set of missions overall. I liked the variety of craft you get to fly, and there was a good mix of dogfighting, capital ship assault, and escort. Missions were a little on the easy side but not so easy that you thought your flying wasn't making a difference. There was a mission in the middle (mission 4 I think) that I thought had an event that made the mission impossible unless you had played it already. A ship that was boarding another craft gets attacked by fighters coming from hyperspace that end up right next to it. Without knowing these fighters are coming, getting back to the boarding craft in time was impossible. That, however, was the only instance of poor mission design. Otherwise, I think this battle had above average mission design and execution. As a bonus, the story was easy to follow, and wasn't afraid of painting the Empire as the villains (which, let's be honest, is the truth)

Very well done set of missions with an easy to follow storyline. I didn't feel lost because I hadn't played other missions and the missions were very well balanced in terms of difficulty and fun. The mission design was also good, nothing that blew me away but the missions made sense for the kinds of missions that they were; testing the experimental TIEs. Of all of the original XWA TIE Corps missions I have played so far, this is the best battle I've come across.

An ok set of missions, however all of them were far too easy. I did not feel at risk or challenged during any of the 6 missions. Story was fine and easy to follow, but also was nothing special. I did appreciate getting to fight mostly Imperial craft, which is a nice change of pace. The missions were also not afraid to push the limitations of the XvT engine, especially on the last battle, though thankfully it happened only sporadically. If there was a 2.5 grade, I would give these missions that grade since they are not bad but I left wanting a little more. One more point in favor for these missions was in roughly half the missions was a good blend of craft to choose from.

A very good set of missions, only let slightly down by what an insanely difficult last mission if you are going for the secondary objectives. Most other missions hit the difficulty balance just right, and it felt like your actions led to a defeat or victory. But the final mission it felt like you needed an insane amount of luck to hit all of the goals. After about 7 tries, I gave up and just decided to complete the primaries and a couple secondarys. Had that final mission not been so frustrating, this battle would have been given a 5.

Excellent mission that had me sweating it right up until the end. Clever design, some good tension waiting for the FRT to ram the platform, following by dogfighting for your life while trying to destroy other targets. Also a good change of place flying a Rebel fighter for an Imperial mission. Difficulty was just right, which is something that a lot of these free missions don't always get correct. Big props to the mission designer on this one.

Overall good mission, wasn't blown away by it but had fun with it. Basically, it was one big long dogfight with a large amount of Rebel and pirate fighters. There are other capital ships present but your actions don't really affect their survival. It was strange how the attacking craft didn't have torpedos or some other kind of heavy warhead (at least I didn't notice any). Including that for the enemies might have made the mission a bit more fun and tension filled since neither of your friendly stations feel like they are under any kind of threat. No major bugs or problems to report, but I feel like it could have been something more.

Nice little mission, believable amount of craft and backstory that ties to the original TIE Fighter game. From a mission design standpoint, it's a bit on the easy side but there's enough message and events that you feel busy the whole mission but not too many messages that you miss something important. The only improvement I would make is maybe have the Cygnus Research station be under more of a threat. Maybe it should have no armaments or the CRL jumps in at cannon range, making you act fast to attack and disable it.

Appreciate the variety of craft and mission types in this battle. You'll fly missions as a Assault Gunboat, Skipray Blastboat, T/D, and Missile Boat and the missions have a decent variety to them as well, some being more capital ship assault heavy, while one is more recon inspection heavy. As a standalone story it's not all that special, but I didn't feel completely lost either. My biggest pet peeve with this battle was how even though it would sometimes say "Mission Completed" in your objectives box, you couldn't always leave the mission with a Q+Spacebar since it would automatically fail you. Mission 2 was the worst offender of this problem since there was no hyperbuoy or capital ship to dock with. I have no idea why you could end the missions at certain points, but not during others. Overall, a good set of missions, but they are let down by some strange behaviors when trying to leave or end a mission.

Not a bad set of missions. Flying the Experimental TIE was a nice option, but I found myself flying the T/I the most. Objectives were usually straight forward and relatively easy to follow. I probably missed some of the finer story points, but I didn't feel completely lost. That being said, I will say none of the missions wowed me, nor were any of them very difficult (except for colliding leading to a death and mission failure). Didn't notice any major bugs or game breaking items, so in terms of mission design it was a pretty good battle mechanically speaking.

Had a very hard time following the story, I'm going to guess this was not the first mission in it's own storyline. The missions had a lot of elements that were creative (like the "stealth mode" on the last mission), but many of the missions became very tedious to complete, some needing more than half an hour on the mission clock. Often, you were expected to take down the shields of a capital ship with little to no support with no heavy warheads to help speed up the process. None of the missions were exceptionally hard, but the lack of friendly support or just badly coded orders made some of the missions take way longer than they needed to.

Going to admit, I was a bit lost as far as the storyline was concerned. This was a part II, so I understand I wasn't going to be fully up to date, but the missions did not do a good job of informing new pilots what is going on. I did not understand the general situation of timeline, so it was tough to be very motivated on the missions. It was also hard to understand why the Vepaad (or whatever the name of the blue faction was) was able to destroy so many ships in the final mission since they had nothing larger than a STRCK or FRG the entire battle.

From a mission design standpoint, I will say it's nothing special. All T/D missions and they all felt very similar to one another. Destroy fighters, maybe engage a capital ship, then mission is over. Very little inspecting or other objectives besides destroy all fighters or protect a certain craft. None of the missions were too difficult. Your T/Ds far outmatched everything they flew against and the mission critical craft didn't feel too hard to protect. None of the missions were buggy and seemed to work as intended, but to sum up my thoughts in two word - nothing special.

One of the better battles I've flown so far with a pretty interesting storyline. Missions were varied pretty well between starship assault, inspection, and fighter dogfighting. None of the missions were all that difficult on Medium, never really felt like I was fighting for my life or that mission critical crafts were in trouble. Can't say I was blown away by this battle, but overall it was well-polished, had a coherent and easy to follow storyline, and felt like a solid battle from start to finish. High recommendations for this one.

Overall, not a bad set of missions. Briefings or maps could have given a little more backstory into who your enemies were and could have gotten me more invested. As far as mission design is concerned, the battles were easy to follow and I felt like a good part of the action. One major complaint I have with the last mission is just how long it took to destroy the Repair Yard. Half of that mission's time was just shooting at that repair yard which was a major chore to complete. If there was a 2.5 rating, that's what I would give. However, the lack of story context and the tedious final mission brings this battle down a bit.
