One of the better missions using a T/F, but definately not the best. Huge amounts of wingmen give it almost an X-wing Alliance Melee feel to it. Almost. Still, I found it a fun mission to fly despite its simplicity.

Extemely easy! Escorts don't fight back, no capture team to protect! Just disable one enemy T/D and slaughter some regular, unshielded T/Fs with no attack orders in your TIE Defender! Worthy of this big, fat ZERO.

T/F missions are a usually fun challenge. This one gave you a few wingmen, so it's not nonsensical and overly difficult. Nothing else special though. Just ID a convoy with escorts.

Most missions are very short; ID one or two ships and the mission is complete. Easy except for mission 3 where the enemy strike cruisers keep ramming the ISD. Lots of endless waves of fighters. The plot was well thought out, but a little bit boring. The fact that COL Inkwolf mentioned where you have to blast your own ISDs just to get the mission critical transports to arrive is extremely annoying, because by mission 6 you have forgotten what reviews were written and end up spending 20 minuets only to find out that, with out even trying, you managed to do such a good job that the mission is impossible! Massively frustrating!

This battle was all standard missions except for the first one where you just sat there and watched stuff dock. The plot was a little unclear. And there were so many enemy fighters per flight that they would kill half their own wingmen on the first pass. This whole battle was boring.

Firstly, awesome briefing maps! They were very professional looking and interesting to watch. Nice use of custom planets in the background, an added bonus for us TIE95 users. The plot was top notch, too! Thorough all the way through all of the missions. And the missions themselves were in-depth, realistic, and creative. The positions of the ships and stations in space were excellent, especially the Imperial base in Mission 4 (the MissleBoat version). There were a few typos in the briefing Q&A, but because everything else was so perfect, I didn't count off. This battle definately deserves a 5, and if you know me from my FREETIE reviews, you'll know I practically never give anything a 5! Good job, Wlodek!

This mission was designed perfectly for the Gunboat. It wasn't impossibly difficult, and I didn't find myself cursing the Gunboat's slow speed like I do in other missions using this craft. Definately the best GUN mission I've flown.

Good for racking up huge amounts of points for ISD kills if you happen to have several hours on your hands. But if you just want the FCHG point, the primary goals won't take all day. I liked the plot too, more realistic than a miraculous escape of the mothership would have been.

Lots of in-flight messages to progress the plot; makes it more interesting. But it's mostly a "you vs the world," and it's quite difficult to save all the friendly ships. Kind of frustrating, but not full of bugs or anything.

A pretty standard mission except for the cool moving PLT! Nice touch.

I have to give this a 0 because it's just a clone of a mission from the X-Wing game! The player's craft was just changed from an X-Wing to and TIE Interceptor; otherwise it's an exact copy!

What in the flaming beef was this?! Just sit and watch a SHU fly around, then mission's complete. Only a few bonus enemies afterwards. No point at all. Wlodek's other FREETIE based on the "Thief" game, Lord Bufford's Mannor, is much better. Go fly that one instead.

Your TIE Fighter vs a bunch of armed CUVs. Strangely very entertaining. I can't give this a high rating since it's not all that creative, but I definately recomend you fly it for the novelty and fun!

Nice complex mission. Plenty of extra goals. Healthy difficulty for high scores. Quite good.

Most of the missions were just endless waves of fighters. A few were nearly impossible because ships that needed to survive kept ramming each other due to poorly placed waypoints. The missions didn't quite seem to belong together in the plotline either. All in all, very frustrating.

I don't like this mission very much, and I made it. I made it nearly a year ago before I knew anything. I thought it had gotten lost in the TAC but here it is. Anyway all my up coming missions that I recently made are much better, i.e. "The Baker's Dozen" :)

If this mission requires the TIE Silencer Patch, why doesn't it come with it attached, eh? I thought that was a rule that all missions had necessary patch attached.

This is the best version of this mission in the pack. But only because the TIE Dragon patch is not just a faster version of a regular ship that came with the game. It was actually an enjoyable challenge. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could.

FREETIEs #43-48 are all the same mission with different player craft. If you're busy flying as many FREETIEs as you can, this gets old REAL fast. See also my review for #43.

Why can't we have patches that change the look of the ship? This is just a fast TIE Fighter; the patch didn't really add anything. Anyway, the mission was still a well made one, but aside from the use of the A-9b, average.
