Visually stunning, the action was slow at the beginning but the last mission won me over.

Aside from a bug that made B3M4 impossible to finish, this was really good. The fix for M3M4 is available via the TFTC discord. The time alloted for one of the secondary goal almost required psycic powers, but easy enough to resolve on the 2nd playthrough.

Good remake of the original. Felts the enemy bombers were a bit overpowered but was still fun enough.
Always great to see Thrawn.

I give it full marks for being a perfect remastering of TIE Fighter Battle #3... although, truthfully, it is a perfect remastering one of the less-than-perfect battles of the original TIE Fighter campaign... No issues with balance or design, just... a bit boring, at times...

I enjoyed this battle. Having not played the original TIE Fighter, I was excited to see the Thrawn stuff develop, and I got to fly the Gunboat which remains my favourite Imperial ship to fly. I was also very impressed to see that the creators had gone to the trouble of modelling the bolt-on missile tubes onto the TIE/ln Fighter, which was also kind of cool!

Every single battle of TFTC-R is an abolute masterpiece. As if the original TIE-Fighter was not one of the best games ever conceived, TFTC-R tops it - on every single mission. It is not only that the graphics, sound and joystick support cababilities were brought today's standards with underlying XWAU package. TFTC-Reimangined also set out to redisgn the original TF missions reimagining what they could have looked like if it wasn't for TF's 1994 engine limitations (e.g. only ~30 ships in space at any given time) yielding huge battles which truely make you feel as part of a mighty imperial war machine rather than a lonely TIE Fighter pilot taking on the galaxy. They even did full voice acting, remastering of the soundtrack and ironed out some story quirks - it is insane. They did what they set out to do - mission accomplished - and then some!

Battle 3 played on easy.
Mission 1. Failed the first time, the failure help text told me to kill everything first before inspecting. Sure that worked but there was a ton of down time waiting for the heavy lifters to finish their missions. So that was quite boring.
Mission 2. Super easy mission. Pop out, unload all missiles, go to hangar, reload and repeat. I thought it was another long mission where I had to wait but I missed that when the docking operation was complete that the mission objective changed for me to destroy the containers. Also was weird at one point while I was waiting for no reason imperial ships killed imperial ships.
Mission 3. Briefing, I liked how they said we are low on Bombers, go enjoy this TIE Fighter. Another super easy mission. Though I do appreciate how chaotic many of these TFTC missions are with fighters everywhere. Seems like I'm definitely just one of the many TIE pilots in the battle and not just soloing my way through it all.
Mission 4. Omg waiting and waiting again. And then what the hell right when everything got finished the platform blew up. Someone must have pilot errored into it.
Mission 5. This final mission had some nice plot to go along with it, drawing us out so the rebels could try to hit the base behind us. A little bit of a linger mission but didn't seem bad at all time wise which was nice. The battle kept me occupied.

A pox on anyone using TIE Bombers for inspection duty; this is the first time I missed time acceleration. It's a relief in mission 4 to get the Gunboat because the shields make such a difference to survivability. The varied ships in the final mission were a highlight.

It appears to be mission 4 actually.
TRN Maaser is invincible. It has two flights and more arrivals are dependent on 100% of it arriving.
Also, the VSD Stalward will not arrive as 75% of the Yellow team need to be destroyed, that cannot occur as they do not arrive due to the invincible craft. Really easy to fix.

Mission 5 is broken completely. Messer 1 and Messer 2 become invulnerable which both prevents Stalward from entering and allowing the mission to conclude. Eventualy the NL-1 is destroyed from impacting Messer shuttles and friendly fire.
