I don't love flying unshielded craft against turret wielding craft but the use of custom craft and the visuals are amazing

New craft selection for Sepan's was great.

This felt like a true rendition of TIE Fighter Battle #2, but with some very well-selected ship replacements. Balance was exactly where it should be. Very impressed with the result on this one!

Aside from a minor glitch in Mission 4 where the Gunboats insisted on destroying the shuttles they were meant to disable, this was a fun battle. It was nice seeing older craft like the Acclamator, Separatist Destroyer, and V-Wings as well; although chasing the latter in Gunboats and TIE Bombers got tiresome.

Every single battle of TFTC-R is an abolute masterpiece. As if the original TIE-Fighter was not one of the best games ever conceived, TFTC-R tops it - on every single mission. It is not only that the graphics, sound and joystick support cababilities were brought today's standards with underlying XWAU package. TFTC-Reimangined also set out to redisgn the original TF missions reimagining what they could have looked like if it wasn't for TF's 1994 engine limitations (e.g. only ~30 ships in space at any given time) yielding huge battles which truely make you feel as part of a mighty imperial war machine rather than a lonely TIE Fighter pilot taking on the galaxy. They even did full voice acting, remastering of the soundtrack and ironed out some story quirks - it is insane. They did what they set out to do - mission accomplished - and then some!

Battle 2, again flown on easy, was fairly easy to complete. It was another battle, ensuring I bounce between all the different TIEs (but no Interceptor this time). The turreted Y-Wings and Ion Y-Wings did zap my TIE a few times, making me an easy kill. But it wasn't too frustrating to work my way through them. So that was good.

I did like seeing the republic era V-Wing and old Y-Wings as well, felt right for them to still be out there, in the hands of various planets trying to amass their own army.

The first mission starts with launching from a VSD and one of the new hangar layouts, which look very cool but sometimes have performance issues. Look out for the Y-Wing/B that shoot backwards! This also introduces V-Wings and the Commerce Guild Destroyer. A few missions were challenging and required multiple attempts, which is good.
