The missions are well made, but ultimately it is a bitterly disappointing experience. The storyline promises much but still ends in defeat. I downloaded the wave pack as well, expecting a more immersive time, and was left found wanting by a plethora of AI voices.

It's not awful, but it ain't stellar, either.

Playing this I noticed that the last 2 missions are exactly the same.

This is yet another excellent example of a sub-par mission attempting to cover up its significant design flaws by trying, and failing, to be 'funny'.

Good idea, however loses marks because of requiring the calling of re-inforcements, which costs point, in order to make the mission passable.

No flaws so I can't give a really low score, however the mission just wasn't exciting.

Not the worst mission in the compendium, but the weak humour fails to compensate for glaring errors in the way the mission has been made. The worst mistake is that the Vanguard's arrival is a primary goal...but to bring the Vanguard in you must destroy 50% of the Y-Wings. This is not made clear anywhere.

As is often the case, when a battle is praised for being 'funny', it's a sign that the battle is otherwise poorly made. This is very much the case here, with unclear goals, elements of design that just suck - such as the Daedalus not firing at its attackers in M1, and poor choice of warheads. There is one mission, for example, where you need to attack a capital ship, but you're assigned advanced missiles by default.

Probably one of the better made early TC battles. Didn't seem to have bugs or a lot of the other problems you normally get from battles of this era.

I may be harsh here, but as usual, it's clear that what some pilots call 'challenging' is actually a byword for 'stupidly hard'.

An average, relatively problem free battle, but it is completely ruined by the 4th mission whereby you wait for EIGHT docking operations, long after the battle is won.

The battle itself is not hard - it's just very tedious indeed.

There are simply too many missions which require killing starfighters for this battle to be very enjoyable. I'm also not sure how it's supposed to fit in with the EH storyline, aside from the use of EH ships.

A decently made caper of a battle. It loses a 5 because the final mission requires you to wait for a tug to fly to the Star Destroyer. No level of humour is worth that kind of pain.

Not very well made at all. Pro tip: in mission 4, you will need to call the mission critical ships in with shift-S to get them to arrive. That is horrendous design. Also has lots of 'kill fighters' missions.

It's only really good for spam flying competitions as the missions are fairly quick. They are mostly adapted from the original missions that come with the game. For some reason the last mission only has the Secret Order dude and so you need to the secondary goal instead of the primary.

It's an interesting idea. The creator's gone with the concept of slowly reducing the platform's defences with a series of strikes, first on the fighters and then on the support ships. It falls down because the TIE Defender is powerful enough that so many strikes would not be needed.

Well designed, but far too long and complex for a FREE mission.

This isn't a fully custom mission. It's one of the default missions with a few ships and names changed.

It's certainly a very interesting take on the concept of playing X-Wing missions from the Imperial point-of-view! Obviously the mission plays out a little differently from the 'real' one, but it's always good to see an Imperial victory. ;)

Whilst I have a lot of respect for Tempest and his work, the fact that the way to beat this mission is treated as a jealously guarded secret sucks a lot of the fun out of it for me.

Patches that use ships available in XWA. Why not just use XWA?

This mission ruined a TCBG-wide competition. 16 years later I feel no better about it. It's incredibly overrated, unfunny, and generally not a fun mission at all. How did this win any awards?
