Found this actually pretty enjoyable - playing the good old TIE Fighter was fun, and enjoyed the dogfighting in this one!
I just flew this mission, moments ago, and it's probably going to take me longer to write this review than it did to install and actually fly it. So, on easy at least, if that's something you're looking for I highly recommend it. However, if you want a challenge or even some idea of what you're doing, a sense of purpose, look elsewhere. However, Frodo does make a guest apparence, so that gets a bump in score from me.
I played on Easy. There's not much to this battle. You are more than equipped to kill the shieldless Calamari Cruiser. It's honestly a little unfair to the Rebels, this mission is so skewed in Imperial favor. I'm not sure how you could lose.
pretty simple mission on easy, i was attacking the capital ship and the missions seemed to finish itself after awhile. good one for a quick mission and if you want to practice shooting capital ships
Gunboat run if you are smart because the objective here is just to kill a Mon Cal Cruiser and that's easiest done in a Gunboat. Extremely quick mission and doesn't require a bunch of effort. Just unload your rockets and boom, down she goes. It helps that it doesn't have any shields either.
Another example of fire rockets, change to your wingman and then repeat. This is a very simplistic mission where the goal is to destroy a Mon Cal cruiser and its easily done in 2 min flat.
Waste of time. I am not sure why the missions are crafted in this manner. Fly it for completion otherwise don't bother. I will eventually double back on some of these for attempting them on hard.
Another nice mission for bombers, especially the GUN since it will be properly loaded. The dogfighting is against a rebel complement of usual alphabets with missiles. Nothing very sophisticated, but then again fun to fly and efficiently delivering some good times. Worth a try.
