I do not like these TIE Experimental missions. It is not fun to fly a glass canon against a whole bunch of caps. I do not like the game play loop of just try over and over until you get lucky and don't get volleyed off the field.

Good thoughts in this one, but poorly carried out. The first idea of boarding a FRG to make a hyperjump in the TIE Exp M2. was a nice touch and learning that technique will prove useful in some other battles in the Compendium. The TIE Experimental mk.2 is also a nice little gizmo to fly. The Turbolasers mash up everything they pounce on, but taking on a FRG and a CRV head on, without warheads? It's frustrating and plain folly. In the end, an initial promising mission turned up to be some of those inconsequential exercises to force some plot just to put an exotic fighter into a mission. Fly it only if you need that precious FCHG point.

It was all good... except the CRV was annoying. Nothing else attacked it, so i had to keep attacking it. It's more likely because i'm a crap pilot, but i had to fly it a few times on easy to finally finish the mission! :P

Good mission . The mission was well designed because we have to enter into a M/CRV to enter in Region 2 , very hard to see in the normal missions . DogFight good and well balanced but could be add some missiles to help in emergency situations.

This mission was certainly challenging. I think the hardest part for me was the timing of exiting the ship, after arriving in region 2. Your dogfighting skills better be good to complete this one. And flying the TIE Experimental was fun. Another classic from RW. This ISN'T a mission for newer pilots. Keep that in mind if you choose it for a competition.

Place the file shiplist in your XWing Alliance/directory in a safe place and replace it with the one that came with the mission. (It allows you to fly the Experimental Tie M2) Description You are ordered to go with the M/FRG Avatar on a convoy strike mission and evaluate the effectiveness of the new experimental Ties that the TC is using.
