This battle isn't too bad, just not great. It's just another 'destroy fighters while waiting for x to be destroyed.' On easy at least. The X-Wings look like juicy targets as soon as the mission starts but heads up, wave after wave of A-Wings will hyper in to the area where you first spawn in. So I recommend waiting for them first, then going after the Xs.

This is a mission I really liked because it allows you to do multiple different approaches depending on your play style. Like blowing stuff up? Take the gunboats, want to fly unshielded? Take the Interceptor. The best part is that it is spaced out over different areas and not a bunch of close fights the entire time. Pretty well done in my opinion.

Very confusing objectives and the way the events were crafted is a bit horrible. Meat to the grinder and we move on. It's a shame because it had a very promising start.

Simple mission but very much enjoyable, as player can choose a variety of roles, in my case the GUN, a personal favorite. Although basic in its planning, it was perfectly carried out and yields some 10 minutes of good fun. Worth a try.

This mission was basic, but a good experience. Try to find all the bonus points! Little nit though: when using EHBL, the Imperial.lst file is not installed in the /train folder, but in the /misc folder.
There are currently no open bug reports for this battle.

ELEMENTS TM & (c) LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY. Installation ------------ The Imperial.lst and Mission.lst replace your original files, so back those up! 1] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle. 2] Check the Misc folder in your XvT one for additional material like patches, sounds etc. 3] Press the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter button to start XvT and fly the battle. - Create a new pilot for the mission based on your name or PIN and the mission number. For example, SL Stele playing Free Mission 80 would make a new pilot file named "StelFM80." or a Pilot with PIN 2883 playing Free Mission 69 would make a new pilot file named "2883fm69" - Begin flying the first training mission. Description ----------- This mission is part of a series of free missions about each of the squadrons in the ASF doing missions following their squadron objective in their assigned craft. Each mission tries to give a feel and a bit of history of each of the Squadrons. All the storylines of the missions are interconnected and have the ASF Squadron join together against a common foe. Story Line ---------- Because of their help in an attack on the GW we've learned that the citizens of the Genko System are working together with the NR. They might even be building and servicing starfighters for the Rebels! Their so called anti-NR stance was nothing more then a ploy to keep the EH away. You will go to the Genko System with Crusader and take out a convoy of their freighters on route to Planet Genko as an example to what happens to those that support the Rebellion. NOTE ------------------- You need the XvT (or at least all the ships involved there), as far as i know no other patches are needed. Other Information ----------------- This is the First release. Bugs could arise - please mail me if they do - also if you have hints, death threats, questions or appraisals.FL/LT Ender mBind/Echo 2-1/Wing XV/ISD Vanguard GS/SSx3/BSx2/PCx5/ISMx14/MoI/MoT-3rh-6gh/IS-1SR/LoC-PSx80/DFC/CoL/CoB/LoAx2/OV-2E [CAVL] {IWATS-AIM-GFX-ICQ-IIC/1/2/3-M/1/2-SM/2-TM-TT-XAM-XTM-XTT} ---------- - corrected minor spelling/grammar errors - corrected the mission description (GW history stuff :P) - gave points to some of the bonus goals by COL Brucmack, 04.15.02
