I really liked the story. But the length of the last two missions and the lack of clarity of what the goals are make it frustrating to play. And I have no idea how you would complete mission 7 in a reasonable time without infinite ammo.

I kinda like the first 4 missions. Possibly due to the high number of ships. They become repetative though. And the last two missions are really bad, as everyone else mentioned. Mission 6: You cannot land on your own ship. When you quit the after victory message, you fail. Instead you have to land on the ESC.

Battle was great until M6 and M7 which both were pretty ridiculous. Hint for M7, take rockets and clear out the enemy capital ships near the Avenger as their engines will damage the L/Cs you need to complete their missions.

Terrible battle. It started as an average battle, with an original plot. But unfolded as a sticky mess. The missions are senseless, and the last mission is a monstrous monument trying to build up all the available capital ships in a tiny space. And flying in A-W? The Sov and the Avenger just stand there while a tiny mosquito has to bleed a dozen Mammoths to death?. Plain and simple, stupid battle and boring. Frustrating.

well...this mission wasn't too good. unclear instructions...unrealistic mmissions. tip for mission 7: well i did it with infinite ammo and easy. kill all cap ships first...start with the SSD. then get the fighters. then your mission critical craft will survive. heavy rockets work well ;). but yeah crappy briefings too.

This battle made absolutely no sense to me... thank god it's presented as a purely hypothetical situation, and nothing more than a simulation. If it's supposed to simulate a multi-phase attack on Coruscant, what is the purpose of attacking some random outpost, and "retaliating" against a little fleet? I must also ask, what kind of a threat does 3 CRL's and 3 CRS' pose to a Sov and its defenders? This battle was nothing more than a garbled mess from start to finish, and if you didn't get FCHG points for flying it, I cannot imagine any reason why it should be a part of this database. Hence my 0/0.

Flyable... but the last two missions are poorly constructed... You essentially have to wait around for 20 minutes after you kill everything.

This battle has managed in just over two hours too destroyed any and all expectation I had regarding XWA. Pure punishment from the very beginning, until the could come quick enough ending.

I want the wasted hours of my life back that I used trying to complete the final mission. About 4 hours worth. Thanks. Please don't let the L/C's fly into the Avenger, or leave out the "Mission Failed" warnings when the L/C's (quietly) die for some random reason. Would help too if there was a bit more fire support from ANYONE ELSE, who all seem obsessed with the Lusankya and yet can't disable the damned thing after 14 or 15 minutes or trying.

At first I liked this battle. It was good, fun, original and the goals for the 1st half were realistic. But the 2nd half, well it went downhill quickly. Could use a massive re-write with the last missions, but I had fun despite the flaws.

Incredibly similar plotline to one I wrote in 2002 and attemped (but failed) to get Seinar to help create...

Whoa... tons of fighters and capital ships everywhere. Hehe, on a 400 Mhz computer this battle turns into a slideshow. Fly only, if your machine can handle this. (But probably most of you don't have this problem anyway. :P)

A few missions were boring, some others were actually nice. I give it a 2 instead of a 3 because it seems this was supposed to be a XWA-IW, but the creator added some missions with Imperial fighters afterwards to make it a XWA-CAB, and because of the large amounts of flaws it has. For example, in the last mission it doesn't matter whether the Landing craft get destroyed, your main problem is the Sovereign not getting destroyed by another ship ramming it!

first 4 missions were great, but then, in missions 5-7 somethink get wrong.. bugs attack, ships have broken goals, SSSD shots immortal target (SSSD?? it shot far far away from SSSD) ....
2010-01-04
Battle requires the SSSD Sovereign, MC-90 Cruiser and TIE Praetor patches but this is not mentioned on the compendium.
2010-01-03
Mission 1: At the ambush, the MC-90s are far too close to the other ships. This is especially apparent with the Liberator, which nearly crashes into an IW Assault Frigate.
Mission 2: Rebel platforms fire on the disguised IW craft before their cover is blown. The M/FRG Fermi collides with the MC-90 Neo, causing the mission to fail.
Mission 3: INT White Star and its CRL escorts are set to invulnerable for no apparent reason. Debriefing assumes the MC-90 Warspite was destroyed even if you managed to protect it.
Mission 4: Objective to wipe out the Rebel forces shows as complete when only 75% of starships are destroyed. ESC Freedom is set to invulnerable for no apparent reason.
Mission 7: SSSD Sovereign's superlaser does not always fire at the start of the battle, and subsequently fires upon starfighter targets (if all enemy starships are destroyed). The Infiltrator Wing MC-90s fly dangerously close to other starships. SSD Lusyanka is set on a collision course with the SSSD Sovereign. Losing any of the stormtrooper landing craft does not fail the mission, but leaves the primary goal impossible to achieve.

Description: This is a simulated set of events in which the IW attacks Courscant... closely followed by most of the entire EH Strike Fleet. This is a simulated set of events in which the IW attacks Courscant... closely followed by most of the entire EH Strike Fleet. Since the EH would never actually launch an attack on Imperial Center due to the fact the Rebels have it locked up tighter than an accountant's wallet, it's just a wargame for simulation use... - Mission 1: A few A-Wings turn up outside Coruscant, and lure some of the home guard away from Courscant to where they can be conveniently attacked by saying their mothership is in danger. - Mission 2: Most of the IW forces hyper to Coruscant. A few remain behind as to not arouse suspicion immediately. Some of the ships are beaconing as the craft lured away from Courscant, the rest masquerading as the "rescued" task force. A transport has to drop off a package said to contain Tibanna Gas, although it actually contains a timed bomb, to the Rebel defense installation, so it can be sabotaged. The Rebels realize the trick and launch a myriad of fighters. - Mission 3: The Rebels attack, they have to be held off until EH reinforcements arrive. - Mission 4: The EH launches their attack in retaliation for loses in the last mission. - Mission 5: The SSD Avenger has been sent to destroy a security check station near the main attack point. The force there is greater than expected. - Mission 6: The Rebel reinforcements arrive at the main attack point. The Sovereign has to fend off the attack alone. Reinforcements are not due for several minutes. - Mission 7: The EH struggles to punch a large enough hole in the defense screen to put the troop ships through. This will happen at several different sites to avoid the possibility of one giant Rebel task force crushing the whole plan.
