A good battle (that I helped design), but definately not perfect.

Overall this battle was fairly ordinary. While occasionally there was some intresting stuff, such as the debris in the first mission or the hanger part of the last, it wasn't enough to make this battle seem up to Beef's standard beefiness. I thought the weapon was rather silly. How it worked seemed so silly, that it's up there with TIE TC 200's mutant supervillain. And the inclusion of the rDB was unneccesary, and maybe a bit inappropriate. I also loath the Gunboat, and this battle was filled with them. If we have to fly a non-super IMP ship, at least make it a TIE.

This battle is TOO LONG!!!!!! It took me over an hour to finish. Either make you fly a bomber, remove about half the capital ships, or have more computer bombers. Spending all that time shooting at disabled capital ships is not fun. Although I did like all the fighters they send at you.

This battle would have been great if the last mission had been toned down a bit. It was just too much

Well, since this is before Endor, the Rebels put at least 90% of there forces into that platform. I mean, COME ON!!! There's a seemingly limitless wave of fighters 5 times over. Your wingmen are worthless, missiles everywhere, LONG missions, no plot, no point, my hand hurt, briefings were that kind where you can't fast forward. To sum it up, don't fly this unless it's for a citation, like me.

I don't understand why this battle was so hilarious, but it had some funny parts to it. And anything with the Challenge and Thunder Squadron is great. Nice action, nice plot, good design, good briefings.

the first mission was pointless, and the distances you are forced to travel are unnecesary. But I give it a 3 for effort and shortness.

I played this battle as a tester and let me say this is the single best battle(s) ever! This epic takes place over 30 missions, but it's well worth the time it takes to play it. This battle offers new ships to fly, totally new and inovative ways to play TIE Fighter, an engaging storyline, new "ships" and "stations" done through superb architecture, and much more that I won't write about in this review.

Well, it's good, but not as good as the first two. I've never liked the idea of aliens womping the Empire and this is no exception. It seems every time I fight in a battle, you fight for at least 20 minutes, and if you slip up once, you fail, forcing you to do it all over again.

I agree, the mission briefings felt very militaristic and official, better than some LucasArts briefings. I liked the idea of an ambush too, finally something didn't go according to plan.

I felt that the author did pretty well for his first mission, although I think he could have tried better with the briefing officer questions.

A very ending repetition of the same objectives over, and over again. Nothing changed, there was no plot, no originality, hardly worth the FCHG points, boring, brainless AI, and several dozen other glaring problems. One of the biggest things is that the Rebels threw about 30 CRS, 4 FRGS, 40 M-CRV, thousands of fighters, and a minefield into attacking this training post which appears to be devoid of life.

I seemed to have skiped this battle over. When I played it, is was a refreshing site. Good amounts of fighting, nice plot, finally a race that doesn't kill Imperials. What gave it a 4 was it got repetative and in mission 4 it's no fun to go up against a VSD in a Defender.

Yes, it was quite original. But it was a little too easy (I killed the Emperor in 5 seconds) and maybe a little too short.

I don't know why anyone liked this battle. Let me ask you this. Why did the ISD enter hyperspace? Why did the platform have no fighters? Why was this training mission in existence when Rebels were known to be in the area? Why wasn't this conducted in a simulator? Why wasn't the briefings or hints helpful in any way? Why did Mu 1 fire concussion missiles at Iota? If these questions were anwered , it would have been a battle worth flying.

I HATE FLYING UNSHIELDED CRAFT!!! This mission on Hard is impossible. *Note* This mission would have gotten a 3-4-5 if you had shields.

Good old dogfighting battle with good old fleet battles, with good old minefields that don't shoot back :).

An average battle. I find it hard to believe that it would be so long before the Empire punished Incom or that Incom only had one factory.
