I really enjoyed the story in this battle. I played with infinite ammo, on easy and the odds might have been such that without the unlimited ammo I would have not nearly had as much fun, but as it was, I did so this is my score.

I played on Easy with cheats. The mission designer tried to do a lot of unconventional stuff, but it's very hit or miss if it works or not. Mission objectives are vague and you'll have to attempt to figure out what they mean through trial and error. Once you understand the missions, they're interesting enough.

This was almost a really amazing battle. It had a very detailed plot, and the missions themselves would be really cool and follow the plot well, if only it were a bit easier to follow. The objectives are often unclear unless you carefully consider the listed objectives and incoming messages, and sometimes figure out which one to ignore. Cool to try the new ship. But some of the missions are so hard i wouldn't know how to beat them without cheats.

No fun. Unclear mission briefings that have you find out by trial and error what it is that you are supposed to do.

This could have been an excellent battle if not for a few things. The briefings could have been improved, although the mission epilogue text was good and explanatory enough. You have to fly a T/D in a variety of missions, which is also a pleasant reason to fly this battle. And, finally you have to commandeer a TFC. Shooting rockets like a madman and auto-firing dozens of A-Ws conveying on your head, is something challenge and very original. The thing is that some missions were poorly layed out and confusing, in-flight instructions are sketchy, and with a little more work on the details it could have been a masterpiece.

This was a challenging mission for the wrong reasons. Objectives were unclear and briefings were not much help. Most of my time was spent trying to figure out if the missions were bugged or if I had failed for some reason. Mission 6 crashed the first two times I tried it but finally loaded on the third try. Not sure what that was all about, but I'm sure it relates to the active bug report about the player craft. There was a cool moment in Mission 3 or 4 where you hyper right into the middle of the fray, right next to enemy cap ships. Also, the way the Citadel was positioned inside of the factory in the penultimate mission was very slick. If the bugs were fixed, this could be a solid battle.

An interesting but lacklustre Part 3, in my opinion. The story feels like it's being stretched a little thin, and with the suicide mission and bugged final mission, it dropped from a 4 to a 3.

Decent battles, but buggy and with next to no difficulty scaling. Mission instructions are buggy and objectives need to be cleaned up/made more clear, there's something very fusterating at working at a mission for 20 minutes to have to do it over because of bugs. On easy I had to use invulnerability! Also in one of the missions your in a TIE/IN with shields and a HyperDrive?!?
Good story otherwise, glad to see this exist.

Impossible to complete; mission 1 and 2 OK; mission 3,again this disaster choice for a bug craft, the Missile Boat.Of course, that go very fast for a complete disaster mission with the 12 Missiles Boats and the 12 T/I eliminated in 8-10 min.The Interdictor Kumwat is too much enemie for this sunday pilots in bug crafts, without cannons and only 20 Missiles. This Kamikaze attack was tragic for the Theta Squadron.Gentlemans ,please, choice BUG FREE crafts;Missiles Boats,GUN,and Skipray Blastboat, etc are know as BUG crafts;like other pilots, Patch 2.02 S-Foils dont work for me.The mission can be possible with the bug free standard T/B.

Excellent battle! Far fewer Toscans (although the plot could do with explaining that the Vepaal just copy other's fighters in a slightly clearer way). Fun, engaging and ticky... well worth a fly! That TRI is a scream to fly =)

Excellent story, well created. I didn't rate this a '5'-battle, because the situation is too overwhelming. Although I understand the general idea is that the Vepaal are much stronger than the EH and NR combined, it is too exagerated in practice, making the missions unbalanced and too hard for average players. This is bad for gameplay. I ended up with having to constantly run away and not too many fighter opposition in terms of numbers. The lone fighters you dó encounter are such extreme über-aces that it spoils the gaming experience.

Even when XWA becomes old, this mission will still be cool and remembered. I don't give it a 5 because there should be more fights with the Trithan Interceptor, and because of mission 5, which has plenty of flaws in my opinion. But except for these two factors, this mission is excellent!

Well, it's good, but not as good as the first two. I've never liked the idea of aliens womping the Empire and this is no exception. It seems every time I fight in a battle, you fight for at least 20 minutes, and if you slip up once, you fail, forcing you to do it all over again.

Wow! Nice battle! I've always loved the plotline of these battles, and this is no exception. With a strong plot, excellent briefings, little to no grammar errors, this battle takes the cake. The battle doesn't lack action at all. The action is non-stop, and will keep you excited the entire time. This battle is made well, with no errors at all. However, dogfights can come up cramped with tons of enemy cap ships, and the plot is given away a few times during debriefings, which takes away a good surprise on one mission. Other than that, simply brilliant!

Great battle! Really enjoyable, even with some of those Swear out Loud missions/situations :D Next please!!! ;) P.S. I dont think I had any flying in my PLT file Frankie, so I dunno what's happened there. My battle HS was 61,358 and was taken to 58,654 due to me flying the first one I think and getting 600 then like 2100. If there is some points there it aint added to the scoring

Throughout, the "From" hyperspace Buoys do not de-spawn so they clutter up the nav buoy selection
Mission 5: The stated goal, and what is what needs to happen per the story, is the enemy base needs to be captured. But the actual goal is just that 50% of the ATRs survive and those ATRs are not ordered to capture the station, but to disable it only. So the station can be destroyed, but as long as it was after it was first disabled, then the mission can still be completed.

Mission 6 has you flying a Task Force Cruiser rather than the patch fighter, which makes it difficult and boring to complete.

Plotline: After the devastating attack on Eos by the Vepaal forces and the destruction of the SSD Avenger, the Emperor's Hammer Fleet is regrouping for a Vepaal invasion. In the meantime, you, as Major John Tert, will join the Victory-II Star Destroyer Battleaxe as it invades Vepaal space in hopes of finding a way to end the conflict... (See Hammer to Anvil, Part 3.txt for complete prologue) PLEASE NOTE: The difficulty levels in this battle are fully used. If you fly the battle on Hard, it will be HARD. Medium should be completable by most, and Easy by all, but there is a significant difference in difficulty from Medium to Hard.
