Engaging and enjoyable series of missions, let down by a few minor issues with the finale (lack of ornance to complete the task, and your own capital ships refusing to engage the enemy caps when they get close.

Fun battle, good story. The last mission gave me the devil of a time until I used the strategy of destroying 3 of the 4 Y/Ws and then focusing on the CRS. Once it was destroyed then I could destroy the last of the first wave of Y/W without the follow-on waves spawning.

A fun battle that has you doing Interdiction style missions. Battles were well put together, and playing on Hard was a real challenge. Briefings generally gave good information, the inclusion of the third party was also a nice touch.

Another gem from Ender. The last mission albeit a bit frustrating is wonderful. I love it. Forces you to use your head a little for once. Nothing too complicated, just a bit different than the usual missions.

This one is a tough little battle. Unfortunately, the only choice for craft available is the overused T/A and somehow this is denting the fun in the missions, since bombing is not what the Advanced is best at doing. However the missions are well crafted, and so is the plotline and briefings. Last mission, however was a bit of a tough bone to gnaw. Bringing down an MC90, an ESC, a FRG and an A/FRG is going to drain the best out of any pilot, since the T/A can load up a minor amount of warheads. And dogfighting those Firesprays was indeed a lot of fun. Boba knew...

Good battle. Nice difficulity level too. You have to think to win some of the missions. My only problem is with mission 3. The ATRs that are supposed to attack the Primary goal FRG, instead target the secondary targert Cruiser. The Cruiser does get hurt pretty bad, but it kills off all of my wingmates and the ATRs so I have to destroy a FRG that has 200% shields by myself (stupid me had pick missiles instead of torpedos). Besides that a great battle (I love the TIE Advanced)

Final Mission: ISD will not engage enemy cap ships if they get in range, but will sit there passively taking their fire.

Each mission tries to give a feel and a bit of history of each of the Squadrons. All the storylines of the missions are interconnected and have the ASF Squadron join together against a common foe. In timeline this battle takes place just before the free missions. Story Line ---------- 1. Python Squadron, 75th TIE Corps Squadron, of Wing XV is based upon the ISDII Vanguard and its objective is Interdiction. Interdiction Squadrons eliminate a target's capability to flee, in any manner possible, up to and including destruction of the target.(The only good rebel is a dead one!). It might also be necessary to inspect an unknown (but suspect) flight group to determine which, if any, targets should be prepped for capture/disablement. Python Squadron is currently under the experienced command of CPT Blair Vallyn and earlier CMDRs were COL Fraggle Hawk, CPT Damon Kast, MAJ CrazyR2, COL Wet Willy and other illustrious names. It has won WC's Own 4 months out of 12 in the last recorded year while Python pilots earned VanCOM's Protector twice. After returning from a mission in the Mi'Suh Zone, Python has arranged meeting up with the ISD Vanguard just outside the EH Territories in the Genko System - which they know from a strike on Rebel Forces there a year earlier 2. That stunt Python pulled while waiting for the ISDII Vanguard in the Genko System created a Galactic scale incident - The Genkoans found out that it was Python, hence the Empire, that destroyed those containers and immediately payed their respects to the NR. The NR demanded repair payments to be made by Genko for the lost craft which the Genko System will do in the form of Fighterparts. The deal apparently got even better, as for some reason Genko threw in a shipment of Fighter Fuel as well - and the Genkoans are known hard bargoners so there must be something that The NR is doing in return for that extra. The EH intercepted a transmission about where this convoy would be meeting and Python is being sent in to clear up the mess they created in the first place. The INT Artemis, often working together with either Python or Hornet, will prevent the convoy from escaping. 3. In their strike on the Rebel Convoy Python made a shocking discovery: the New Republic forces in this sector seem to be trading slaves with the Genkoans for the supplies they need. This doesn't seem like the high-brow ever-ethical New Republic they advertise as. We found out the location of a NR supply cache in the Genko System, if they are actually doing this kind of thing more often that would be the excellent spot for it. Python is sent in to destroy the Cache while the INT Artemis from the Vanguard TF makes sure none can escape. See what you can find out about those "trades" the NR is getting into as well. 4. The NR forces in this area aren't the only ones that need resupplies at times, so does the ISDII Vanguard. Python Squadron will patrol around the Vanguard durin one of these cargo transfers. This time the cargo is of high importance as well: besides the regular supplies also the VanCOM and some evidence collected at the sites of the last few engagements will be transferred. The ISDII Vanguard is parked at a bouy in the Pyrath System, where it will meet with parts of its Taskforce, foremost the INT Artemis. Make sure all the cargo is delivered to its hangars safely. 5. The two Cruisers that attacked the ISDII Vanguard in EH Space made a bold move, but also a wrong one: The moment he arrived back on the ISDII Vanguard, the VanCOM RA Leeson ordered the INT Artemis to start up its Interdictor Fields - Trapping both enemy Cruisers within striking range of the Vanguard and its taskforce. As long as the INT Artemis can keep its field up no Rebel or Genkoan is going anywhere, and Python Squadron will be put to use to take advantage of that. Make sure none of these insurgeants make it out of EH Space alive and destroy both Cruisers. NOTE ------------------- You need XvT (or at least all the ships involved there), as far as i know no other patches are needed.
