Battle Reviews

LT Von Goosington

Has the feel of a 'big battle', with capital ships duking it out, but could have possibly done with more waves of enemy fighters to keep you busy whilst the capital ships finish off the Rebel fleet.

Loses a perfect 5 for two minor bugs (the "Oh my god, they killed Kenny" message fires off even if there are no rebel craft left, and you don't need to inspect all the rebel ships to get the 250pt bonus) and the appearance of.... yes you've guessed it, Rogue Sqdn yet again, as well as the bizarre decision to allow you to fly X-Wings as a player option, and not another worthwhile Imperial Craft.

Really enjoyed this mission - nice to see the capital ships going toe-to-toe, with a good range of dogfighting. Clear objectives make this a good starting mission for new pilots to complete as well.

Any mission that can work 'They killed Kenny' into the inflight messages in a serious manner deserves to be played and this one pulls it off with aplomb. Not overly challenging, but definitely not a cake walk as there are a number of fighters around. Relatively well built for a earlier XvT FREE.

This is a battle with plenty of large scale capital ships which I always like. It gives the impression of a great battle and when you take one of the ships down it gives you the feeling of accomplishment rather than when there is just one ship that everyone is focusing on. Good time on this one.

RA Genie

Enjoyable and action-packed! It was nice seeing the capital ships slug it out for once. Plenty of things to shoot at and in a decently balanced encounter. May return back to it and try it on a harder mode.

COL Phalk Sturm

Another simple mission with simple orders. Some dogfighting but mostly about sinking capships. Perhaps enemies should have better AI. But worth a try.

LC randyrumrnr

A bit of a boring battle if I must be honest. I don't think a single fighter targeted me. They all just go after the capitol ships. Makes sense I guess, given the mission scenario...no bugs to report.

Battle Bug Reports

LT Von Goosington

1. The "Oh my god, they killed Kenny" message fires off even if there are no rebel craft left to transmit it.

2. You don't need to inspect all the rebel ships to get the 250pt bonus inspection bonus, despite it reading like it should be a Inspect them all type thing.

Mission is simple; you have to kill all rebels. You'll be flying with Avenger Squadron,
so do your best. I suggest you destroy Y-Wings first because they are the main threat.
Rogue Squadron will be there as well. Fry them with pleasure. You are dismissed.
