I tried to use the patched version of the mission but the files don't correctly use the Phantom patch. Of the T/A version it was ok, if very quick and I liked the fully custom audio.

A pretty cool premise, but nothing special combat-wise. It's just jumping around between areas and engaging a station with some fighters to keep you busy...although they don't really pose a threat to the T/A you're given. Due to the nature of the actual combat, I think it's the easiest and shortest XWAF mission I've flown as of now.

Challenging and enjoyable mission in the War Mule, protecting a VSD-II and trying to destroy as many fighters and capital ships as possible. It will keep you on your toes, since there are all kinds of things to do, dodging missiles, turret fire and starfighters. Worth a try for a hardly earnt FCHG point.

I understood this was intended as a TIE Phantom 'Training mission'. Unfortunately the version with the TIE Phantom is not available, so instead you fly as a T/A instead. The premise was very promising, even as a T/A. It reminded me a bit of Wing Commander. The execution was horrible, just horrible. Also, your wingmate is invulnerable. Watch as they cut through him only to remain at 1%. A missed opportunity.

Not really an impressive mission. The true fun starts when you actually follow the orders and call for the uncalled for reinforcements. That moment made me giggle. Otherwise it's an okay thing to fly but nothing really fantastic either from the story side nor how it was designed technically. Be sure to dive when you return home though.

kind of a sloppy mission, the orders seem to be wrong for the enemies. It is nearly impossible on hard. whole squadrons go straight for you despite all the other imperials around and they never miss. I never thought I'd have such trouble with z-95's

Great mission. The plot was nice. The voice actors were very good except for that "Gunman" dude. The final part with the gods is like a test to see if a pilot can follow orders... or something like that.

the mission was really fun but i still dont understand why i keep failing the mission when all the mission objectives are completed. I mean i dont even see how this got past beta testing if you cant even win the mission.

However I know that many people don't like patches so I have med it so that you can chose whether to fly the Tie Phantom or not. It is very simple, if you wish to fly the Tie Phantom you have to install the patch (included) and chose the files from the "Phantom" dir. If you do not want to install the patch simply use the files from "No Phantom" Install the files in your X-Wing Alliance directory: 1] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle. 2] Check the Misc folder in your XWA for additional material like patches, emails or sounds. 3] In EHBL, create a new "EH Pilot" in the Game Menu (Check "Prepare for EH Battle"). 4] Press the X-Wing Alliance button to start XWA and fly the battle. Description: Phantom Squadron has been equipped with Tie Phantoms. As flight leader in flight three you'll take your new fighter out on a combat test run. Your FM, LCM Gunman, will accompany you.
